Mornin' boys. Mornin' English. Soaked and 52 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Saw Brutus' light show last night (upper atmosphere - nothing close). Good colleague and his 6'5" son (watch yer head, kid ) came over last night to see the layout. Ran trains for 90 mins - NO PILE UPS. They were amazed with the smoke, sounds, and pulling power of MTH 2.0 engines, as well as the detail of LEMAX buildings. May have lit a fire with the 17 yr old. Started fiddlin' with the MTH crossing signals, and I'm glad I didn't go with the more modern looking silver ones. I should be able to wire them up quickly, but will have to relocate one CPL.
Morning. Sunny and warm. Suppose to rain today but now they say tomorrow. These idots can't tell the immediate weather. USWB did not set off alert until folks had spotted funnel cloud. Not good.
Over the river and through the woods to the lake house I go. Frankie and I are going up and do some wiring [ceiling fan in livingroom and pre-wire for new porch]. Back this PM. Going back tomorrow.
Have a great week at work [so my SS will keep coming].

Good morning all,
It is raining again in SE Indiana. Watched "Desperate Housewives". It was a little different last night. It was the annual appearance of Mary Alice last night. Ran the 10E upstairs for a little bit as well. Still debugging the one switch up there. Balanced the checkbook. I had the regular fare on the dining car this morning for breakfast. TBIL anytime tonight. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Hi GUYZ,
45 and rainy here today to get to 52. Ran trains last nite and again NO PILE UPs. Great nite, watched History of America on you guessed it HISTORY, pretty good.
Stay frosty,
laz57
Still raining and mid 50's today.
No trains. I'm in the sanding and drywall goo phase of the project. My sanding block with the vacuum attachment makes the job tolerable. Good news is the bottom half will go under tile, so I won't have to be that picky about the finish on the goo.
All for now.
Spent most of day re-arranging furniture ... hanging pictures and etc. .... wife has about all the painting done except 3 more rooms ... that darn huge cathedral ceiling was hard to do . Along with all it she steam cleaned all the carpets and redid the drapes . She also commandered me to watch a special on America tonight with her ... ALL NIGHT .... no computer - no xbox - no chat .... . Oh well ... it was a great show about our country from the Mayflower on . She's asleep now so I'm gonna sneak in a couple hours .....
Missed all you guys on the chat .... will catch you tonight .... Monday night .
Brent .... welcome back buddy ..... was really upset about hearing of your injuries ... what's that old saying .... if you did'nt have bad luck lately ... you would'nt have any .... please be careful !!
jefelectricSir James & Charlie, it was nice to meet you guys at York. It sounds like you enjoyed the trip.
Was great meeting you and all the guys!

Good night all. Well, there are photos of the "cork screw" twister. Unusual here in NC. You really have to be close to get that type of photo. Its not completely flat and lots of tall pines here. Strange thing. That was the only "cell" in all of NC. Not a drop a rain on the radar anywhere else. Stars and moon out. We are suppose to be having rain. ???????
Frankie and I are headed early to the lake house to do some electrical work.
Have a good week.
PS: look at this

Good evening everyone. Had a great day at church. Came home after lunch and the bride and I got to doing some heavy cleaning as tonight, we are expecting a young woman over to spend a week with us while working on the project. She is interning with the production team and this is good experience.
On the train front, not much happening for a little while as I am very busy right now. Hope to get some serious work done on the off weeks of filming. Of course, I also have to spend some quality time with the family as they sacrifice too when I am away.
Glad folks got back safe from York. Look forward to some photos of great finds. I enjoyed looking at SPF. Jim's restoration was tops. Also enjoyed the other layout photos.
God Bless,Dennis

Welcome back Yorkies!
Thanks for the input. If I find a job, even part time, may join you in the fall. It appeares that Sir James and Charlie beat the percipitation.

Hope everyone is okay, Chief - tornadoes are not good.
GreenP - I played the original version of Resident Evil on the PS2, it was the PSX extended deluxe yadda yadda version. It was a good game, but L4D is worlds ahead of it. It's like a game of 4 on 4 football with zombies Played again tonight for a while and one of the guys on my team was a total joker - it was funny for a while, but it did get old after a while.
Had a philly cheesesteak style burger at Applebees and a tall ice cold beer for lunch. Other than those things, it rained here and I had some fun with the zombies. Laundry is running and I think I might watch Black Sheep tonight. I got it on dvd for $5 at Walmart months ago.
Tardis is ready and I'll wait for beacons to show up on the screen. We need to go over to Don's house and check on him.
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Sun been shining all day. Wifey says big drop are falling now. Hope we get lots more rain. Suppose to be raining for two days and they missed it again. Garden does look great.
Fifey, you are right. Chimney in living room below come us there. Building fronts would be great. Also along the wall to the right of the chimeny along the siding. Along the left is the JD factory and I need a building front for it.
OOPS, we are at the edge of a tornado warning but moving away from us. Radar has picked up a twister north east of us. Burg was sniffing and listening outside about 30 minutes ago. Then he wanted to come in. He is probably a better wearther forecaster than the humans.
Later.
PS: folks are calling the TV stations saying they see the tornado on the ground but no reports of damage.
Good afternoon all,
It is raining in SE Indiana with temps in the 60s. Stayed home last night and watched one episode of V and three of Lost. Watched the F=1 China race today and end of NASCAR race, as it took an hour to run 25 laps. Hmmmmm. I had cinnamon rolls on the dining car for breakfast this morning. TBIL anytime. Good to hear from Brent. I hope everyone has a good day.
Harvick wins the NASCAR cup race, and may win the Nationwide race that follows. And the 48 finished 31st and in the wall! About time we have a new champion. The race was becoming very boring.

Brent,
Glad to see you back posting.
Brutus,
Have you ever played the Resident Evil remake for Gamecube? If you are into zombies, you'd definitely like it. It is one of the finest games I've ever played. I can always count on Crimson Heads to scare me a bit...
Brent, Great to see you posting. Hope you can make it to York in October. The dates are 14-16 so mark your calendar. I've heard a rumor that SusieQ is going to be having a tool and ladder sale in the near future. any truth in that?
Sir James & Charlie, it was nice to meet you guys at York. It sounds like you enjoyed the trip.
I had my usual enjoyable York, really enjoy getting together with Roy and walking the aisles. I did feel a lot better than last October, was bit under the weather then and only spent a couple of hours at the show.
Laz, thanks for posting the picture.
navyjack hello ray, when i was stationed at san bernardino california with the reserve seabees, i lived in a town named fontana. i used to see long trains with what i thought were trainmaster diesels pulling long trains of hoppers. there was a roundhouse i would pass every day and they had a big steam locomotive with a fence around it. i believe it was a northern and i do not remember if it was a santa fe or a sp loco. i saw the sp daylight train running right in front of our seabee facility in pomona and it was a sight in all its orange splendor. sounds like a lot of guys got some great deals, i realy liked the photos that laz57 provided. i wish i could match up the people with the pictures. talked to rt yesterday and he told me about grits. had a great conversation. navyjack .

NavyJack, Don't know what part of Fontana you referred to but the Santa Fe ran through North Fontana and the Southern Pacific was on the South end near what is the San Bernardino Fwy today I-10. The engines you saw may have been Southern Pacific SD-9's which were the early 6 axle units and resembled trainmasters a little maybe from a distance because they were long. The SP used them on solid sugar beet trains of hoppers and also on the ore train that went to Kaiser Steel in Fontana. The Santa Fe Line to the North was a secondary main line which was used mainly for passenger and local freight trains. There was a big roundhouse in San Bernardino across from the old station. The engine with the fence around it was the Santa Fe 4-8-4 Northern number 3751. The 3751 was pulled out of that park several years ago and restored. It is used now for excusions and is owned by the San Bernardino Railway Historical Society. It was sold to them by the city for one dollar. They keep it in Los Angeles now at the Amtrak locomotive facility at Redondo Junction. Thanks for the birthday greeting for my wife. I will pass it on. Have a nice weekend,
Ray

Sir james - We kid because we care.
lionroar88 - That deal in Middle River is bad either way. I think the aerial search would have turned up at least a hull. Me thinks someone having a little fun at the taxpayers expense. Good to see you postin'. I grabbed you a button. Can't believe Roy brought out a ladder...
Chief - I'm normal...
Yikes!!! he is still alive Brent has finally posted again glad to see you brent post some mofe when you can.
Pat in fact I told him ( he said wife was gone to store to get baby formula for the grand baby) to tell wife to get grits for the grand baby works just as well as formula cheaper and makes more for less then he would be able to get some Hey if you want to eat it its your early death not mine go for it. Happy Birthday Rich! Happy Birthday Ray's wife!
Prayers for us all and our friends and loved ones.
Stayed up late last night and watched From Hell with Johnny Depp. It was great, but sad.
Another rainy day. I think I shall murder zombies with my son. Later, my wife has made plans to go out to eat at a place she feels will have "safe" food. Oh - and I bought one of those hanging things and some tomato plants and a small bag of soil so that should be a fun project with my daughter.
fifedog My lower back hurts from YORK. I think it gets that way from shuffling behind people.
My lower back hurts from YORK. I think it gets that way from shuffling behind people.
Comes from straining to look over the shoulders of normal people.
Had showers during the night but no storms. Got .4 of rain. Garden looks good but we are praying for more rain.
Back from Sunday School and now off to Lowe's with wifey. BTW: her gardens in front and back are fabulous.
PS: gald to see Hudson back. Howard Brown, Banks and Jack have been missing for a few days. I think Shake and Bake is being stuborn.
Blueberryhill RRGood Morning from Blueberryhill.... It is a sunny 64 degrees. Going up to 78 today with sunshine. Today is an easy day. Two Nascar races. One baseball game. Chuck - Good idea to watch NASCAR races in the train room. Talladega can get boring in the middle half of the race. By the way, did you have sugar on them Cheerios?
Navyjack - You talked to RT about Grits? Maybe your wife talked to him too, and that is why she won't fix them for you.
Two races today means 7 hours in the train Bldg!

Good Morning Everyone,
Rainy and cool at the Jersey Shore. I have not had time to be on the Forum lately. Between work and one of my best friends hospitalized 2 hours away since March 21 up until a week and a 1/2 ago in ICU. He is home now and on the mend. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.
Rich, Happy Birthday and good luck with the Road Runner. The Greenfield Boys keep rolling with stories of you, your brother in law and his father.
I see that everyone had a good time at York.
Thoughts and prayers for all with sickness and other issues
