Howdy guys!  Well, had a pretty good day off.  Killed about 10,000 zombies online, got the laundry done, got the kids to do their chores, and bought a new fridge on sale, about the same size we have now but the drawers and shelves are a little better organized I think - all door shelves are gallon size, etc.  Top freezer again - just fits the space better.

Tardis is ready and we can buzz over to Virginia too Smile  Let's hit it boys!

PS - thanks Jim - we're getting there, it's just a long road home.  Prayers for your daughter and grandchildren too.

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Hi Guys... just checking in before bed.  Was a good holiday yesterday and was blessed to spend it with my family.  Thought you might appreciate a picture of my Easter gang.

NCT

Ok, y'all.  I'm born and raised and still live in the Old Dominion State of Virginia.  Nothing better than a tall glass of iced tea or a mint julip.  Also love grits and scrapple. Now that I have opened the door, have at it, guys.  Smile,Wink, & Grin

A great SOUTHERN Gentleman.  God bless.

NOW MIKE C, repeat after me. [this includes BUCKEYE]

D  U   K   E  lets say that

again  D U K E.

A Southern team.   Now I will say, I'm not much of a DUKE fan but since they are from NC, I had to lean that way.  Butler would have been OK as I usually pull for the "underdog" and Duke has had several National Championships.

Good night from the Southern state of NC.  With 21 new energy efficient windows.  Now I can see out and the noise is a lot less [really does cut down on the noise].

Good night all.

Hope everyone had a good Easter! And happy anniversary navyjack!

Busy day today. Friend moved back into town and gave me a bed and a set of speakers. Been re-arranging things since then. Old bed setup for futon is now the train table in the spare room.

The Japanese engine does run w/ the RW and the KW. It just runs so fast it goes off the track. Going to have to ask the Sakai forum about that one, but at least the wiring was correct. What a difference in the RW transformer, nice control. Something's up w/ the B control, it puts out a constant voltage, but I'll have a look at it next week. Rotary snowplow arrived. Pretty neat!

First of the radios go in the mail in the morning and Bridget took her's w/ her during the furniture exchange.

Well off to finish off more of the arranging process.

Morning all!

Cloudy here again but warm and should be 70's again.

John Bakeer

Perhaps someone can enlighten me? What is/are Kibbles?

John - "Kibbles and Bits" are a brand of dog food over here. Used to feed it to our dog until she had to go on the "old dog's" food.

NCT - Welcome!

Have a great day all!

Thanks for the info. I don't have a dog but there must be fifty different fido foods out here. All rather confusing, really!

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a cloudy 60 degrees. Going up to 80 today with some sunshine. Last night, we had a lot of lightening, but little rain.

Today is another busy day. I have an appt. this morning to get new brakes on the car. They are due. Front only. New pads and rotors. Then, I will relax the rest of the day. Maybe take a nap this afternoon.

Dining car is here with the usual Cheerios breakfast.

Y'all have a great Tuesday.

Good morning all,

IIABSDISEI with temps in the 80s.  Congrats to Duke.  (Good thing this was not an important event last night, like an Indy car race or soccer game.  Then I might be upset.)  Usual fare on the dining car.  TBIL after "V".  I hope everyone has a good day.  First day at new job went as expected.

Keep on training,

Morning all.  Son has an ear infection...arrrgh!  Will send him to get antibiotics this morning and then the bride and kids are heading to MIL's house.  I have a production meeting tonight, so I will be staying home (besides that little thing called work).  Have plans for some work around the house while they are gone, but still have to watch things as the best of plans....you know.

Charlie, glad I read the little caption under the photo or I would have thought you had slipped another in there without telling anyone.

Laz, I had sent you an email regarding a shay if you were interested.  Hope you got it.  I may drop a deposit on one of the new hudsons, but still up in the air about it.  Want one, but want to make sure it is worth it...to me.

Rich, sorry you will not be able to make it to NJ.  Also, I won't be able to make it to JAX as we will be in the midst of filming and any spare time off is best spent with the family.  If bride wants to venture out as a family, well, I guess we can do a joint shopping trip, her to the malls, me to the train meet.

Chief, glad the windows are working well for you.  The house we have now is more than twice the size of the one I had in Columbus, but the heating bills are about the same.  New house has all double windows, old one was like you mentioned, sash and weights.

Better get going.  God Bless,
Dennis

Was important until your team lost. Whistling  You will like this.  Had to choose.  Basketball, football, baseball or soccer.  Could not have all four at the new middle school.  I "killed" the soccer field.  After all, it is an un-American game.  Evil  [been waiting to get ole Mike on that one]

Morning all.  Got to sleep late for a change.  Another pretty day and real warm.  Having to water my plants in the garden to insure they keep going.  Going to Hunter's Haven this AM and get a Ruger .380 APC.  Nice little simi-automatic pistol.  The kind you can carry in your pocket and not be noticed.  Then off to town in southern part of the county to get a gas golf cart.  Getting rid of the electric one.  Electric is great unless you have hills.  They will make it up hills but sloooow way down.  Gas just putters right on up.  Tomorrow is the American Heart Assoc. National Heart Walk Day.  I am leading one elementary school in a 30 minute walk at 9:30 AM and the other elementary school on a 30 minute walk at 11 AM.  American Heart Assoc. says  one 30 minute walk per day for three days a week will make you heart healthy.

BTW: they are saying we are having the worse pollen "attack" that we have ever had.  I mean constant clouds of yellow.  Everything is yellow [roofs, vehicles, leaves tracks on concrete drive and makes a cloud of "dust" when you mow the grass].  I wonder if it is some thing the Yanks have cooked up?????

Good morning all,

Chief, glad to hear Heart Association says 30 minute walks three times a week are good for heart.  I do it 7 days a week so I guess I have a good heart.  I will probably need it since some other stuff is falling apart.  Your new windows may be timely.  I heard something today about a new bill in congress to require licenses for homes which must be energy efficient before you can sell them.  Need to find out more about this.  I get these inflamatory E mails from both parties all the time. Need to get the facts.

Charlie, beautiful  family.  Great looking kids.  Thanks for posting.

Nice day here today.  Have a good one,

Ray

Mornin'/Afternoon All.

Turning out to be a gorgeous day, but a little cool. Might make it to 70*.

Prayers out for the W.V. miners and their families. Not sure of the proximities of each other but I wonder if there mite be any connection between the WV sunday quake and the monday mine blast, sudden & excessive methane gas build-up.

Charlie, Enjoy the playtime as much as possible, they growup far to quickly.

Ray, I think that was part of the "Cap & Tax Trade" bill that is still somewhat on hold.

Back later.

Aloha all. Grey and cool here after last night's storms. Some pretty big winds and hails shook the 'ol homestead. Glad everyone seems OK.  Charlie, great photo. Brutus, where'd you get your new fridge? I want to get one in a week when our near-bankrupt state is hilariously offering rebates

Bought more fastrack .... and a hookup .... have the plans ready as soon as the room is .

Extremely beautiful here in Maryland .... hate to hear of the bad weather elsewhere . Wow ... what is going on with all these earthquakes all the time ? A local news reporter says it may be the 2012 effect starting .... predicting more earthquakes ... more often as the time gets nearer .... Black Eye  .... I hope not .  Very sad about the miners ... those folks have enough problems . God bless them all and their families ... just hard working folks with about the most dangerous job there is in my opinion .  Angel

The Skyline drive is really beginning to look even more beautiful around here since everything is green and blooming . Especially at the Harpers Ferry area and going down southward ... fantastic beauty to say the least ... a photographer's paradise ! The mountians , the huge river with the rapids  , cliffs and scenic beauty is breath taking .... unbelievable until you've seen it .  Cool

Happy Tuesday after Easter. I have had trouble keeping up with the pot, let alone posting any comments. From Palm Sunday through Easter Sunday I drove to St. Augustine for 5 times for six services and rehearsals. Sunday afternoon I opened a present the Easter Bunny lefy me on Saturday night. The results of that are posted elsewhere on the forum under My six foot two Easter Present. Any and all comments would be appreciated if you have time to take a look.

Later.

Several comments.  One, game was important.  It is basketball and Indiana is known for the Indy 500 (THE Greatest Spectacle in Racing) and basketball (odd, I do not recall any movie ever made called "Carolina")  However, as you all know, I am the eternal optimist.  I believe one of these days "my" soccer girls will win a sectional title, and that one of these days one of the "good guys (or gals)" will win the Indy 500 on a dry warm sunny day.  Last night was depressing (not as much as when the girls lost in OT to a team that was much, much worse), but today Sarah Fisher Racing announced Graham Rahal will drive at Long Beach for the team.  This is a new race for them that was not on their original schedule.  Graham drove to a 9th place the first time out.  Perhaps he may drive the rest of the season for her.  Hmmm.  American driver for an American owned team sponsored by an American company (Dollar General).  Not seeing much downside there.  Hope springs eternal.

Secondly, dropping the soccer field is a very bad idea.  If the Chief has been paying any attention at all, he would know NC is a soccer hotbed.  The NCAA Women's championship is always played at Cary (just down the road) and some of the most famous AMERICAN players have come from UNC.  People wanting to move to NC who are interested in soccer for their kids will take one look at your school system and go "Next!"

Still proud to be a "Hoosier"!

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Evening all!

See the Chief is trying to stir things up all over. Interesting all this new found fortune now that he is mayor of Rosyville. New lake house, new windows, new golf cart - no soccer field - anyone seeing a pattern here - where did the municipal money go?

Another nice one here today. 80's. Might rain a little tomorrow, cool front coming through.

Have a great evening all!

Evening all.

Mike C., we have several soccer fields and a big kids and youth program.  As far as Cary NC is concerned.  We do not claim it as being in Wake Co nor NC.  Bunch of relocated high foluting YANKEES.   Reason thye have the big soccer stadium is the county gave them the money for it [before I became Mayor].  Now I am raising H with the County for not giving Rolesville some of that money as it is suppose to be for all the towns in Wake Co.  We would have built it in Rolesville.  I just had to get some "digs" in on you.  Its hard to catch you off of your "guard" [means you are a good soccer player].

Got new red gas golf cart.  Runs FAST.

Well, got to hit the bed.  Up early for me for the Chamber Breakfast [7:30], walk at 9:30 and 11.  Lunch with Chamber President.

Evening all

It is quite warm out.  You could use the heater in the morning and the A/C in the evening.

We went to Mass this evening after supper.  A group of travelling teen from NET are visiting our two parishes and going to put on a couple of youth retreats and core some service projects.  A fantastic bunch of kids.  God bless them and their ministry.

Took our new dog to the groomer to get trimmed.  She had a few ticks.  The ticks are already bad out.  After working in the yard yesterday I had two on me.  I spread some incecticide I used last year with good results.

Goodnight and may God bless

good evening everyone.  Have been quite busy today.  Following work, I have been reading for the movie.  Had a production meeting tonight and just got home.  Got an email from ChooChoo Auctions, seems someone sniped me in the last minute before auction end.  Oh well, didn't need another milk car anyway.

Have an early case and 0430 comes soon, so I will head off to bed.  Just me and the dog here now as wife and kids are in Montgomery.  They will come home tomorrow.  Son on augmentin, so his ears should be better in a few days.  Just in time to go back from spring break.
Mike, when I lived in NJ, Kearny was known for some of the best US soccer players.  I think 4 or 5 of team USA were from there.  When I was growing up, Pele' played on the NJ Cosmos indoor league.  He was neat to watch.

God Bless
Dennis

I hate those ticks man, be careful!

Training is done at work, at least for a while.  One of my students just found out her mom has bad cancer, supposed to see the doctor together on Monday.  They fly out to Baltimore for more training on Tuesday.  I pray that works out for her as she'll be out of town for about 3 weeks then...

Reading the new trains magazine and checking emails - fell asleep for about an hour or so.  I woke up with RT typing on my computer screen (messenger).  We decided we are going to save the box from my new fridge and send it to him repaints "Deluxe Lionel Train Set" Laugh

Tardis is ready and apple pie and banilla sound GREAT!  On the way guys!

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
