HI GYZ,
34 and cool here. Going up to MOMs for weekend hunting. Tomorrow I will do all the walking for DA GYZ in hopes of pushing a deer to them.
BRUTUS, I can't make the TARDIS tonite but pick me up on Sunday.

Partly cloudy and maybe 40 today. Forcast to go under 20 tonight.
Stopped by the LHS. All that was in were a couple of CTC lockons. I'm suprised that you don't have your gateman yet, Brutus.
That's about all for now.
Evenin' all.
Busy day today. Last nite the local weather guy said the computer models show a strong possibility of significant rains for the entire left coast starting monday. The remnants of super typhon Nilda(?). So today was stop procrastinating and clean out the gutters, that done then had to go rent a sewer snake to clean out the drain lines that run out thru the curb. Luckily only some grassy looking roots, no tree roots.
No museum tomorrow. The muchkin will be here for his regular friday visit so he and grampa will be baking cookies, choco chip/choc choco chip/ oatmeal scotchies/ and sugar. Hope to get all the cookie doughs mixed tonite and only have the baking for tomorrow.
Sure seems as though the prices on the Bay have been getting a tad wacky, one of the Red Holiday Mikes went for $280, MSRP+, when you see them regularly for $200 to 225 on the net.
Later all.

Buckeye - I think you said Amoxicillin? My last doctor laughed when a doc-in-the-box gave me that. He said by this point in life, that stuff won't work on a sinus infection and because it takes so long for the antibiotics to get into the bone, usually 2 courses are needed of the good stuff too. Hope they get you cleared up ASAP!
Sounds like my CC is about to catch fire Better late than never, I guess! I've got the Stourbridge Lion, cars, Casper car, and Halloween Gateman still out there in the aether.
New job really suits me, hope they let me keep at it and also give me a raise it is harder in many ways, but also can be very rewarding to figure out what went wrong and have a chance to fix it.
Nice chats with Doug, SJ, and Charlie last night too
Tardis is ready, so let's hit it! Patrick wanted to drive, but I'll buzz over and get RT first, let him drive to Patrick's house, as he is probably bushed from working so much!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Good Evening
40s today but will be a memory starting tomorrow.
I watched the Lionel DVD called Lionelville, what a rip. Runs 60 minutes and then says "to be continued".doesn't tell you that on the box or in the catalog. Save your money on this one. Did some errands and ran some trains, that was my day. Waiting for banilla and the Tardis.

Late again getting on the forum today. Got the rest of the Christmas lights up outside today and tonight UPS dropped off the two extra 12-1 Golden Gate Depot scale Pullman cars. Tonight a few of us are getting together at my layout but it will be short on account of the temperature dropping by the minute. Having franks and baked beans tonight with home made corn bread, potato salad and cole slaw. That's what happens when you marry someone from New England. Had a nice salad for lunch today with some Paul Newman dressing I had left over from our Thanksgiving trip. It was called creamy Italian and gooood! I don't see it in the stores though. Picked up some light Paul Newman Italian instead. Hope it taste good too. His Ranch dressing is very good also. Got to run now. Have a pleasant evening,

evening all. has been a long day, but all went well. had a "interesting case" which is medical ease for something that is better written about than having to do... essentially, it was a very rare congenital defect to a person's heart. Got photos for a future case report. Bit on the tired side, so I'll just say God Bless and good night to everyone.

Buckeye Riveter Good morning. Wet, cloudy and cold. Dr. referred me to specialist for sinus problem.
Good morning. Wet, cloudy and cold.
Dr. referred me to specialist for sinus problem.
My specialist "shoots" some deadening up nose. About 5 minutes later, come in and runs tiny long straw up nose and "sucks" all sinuses out. Leave feeling good. 1999, had mine "rotor routed". Had sinus operation. Think that is why my nose runn so much. Wide open.
Back from the hills. Funeral was good [if funerals can be]. No sermon but two preachers telling their life experiences with this guy. Was thoughtful to everyone and was a big gardener [which he shared with all]. Now resting.
Turned cold. Later.
PS: went to North Wilkesboro deep into the original stock car racing country. Yes, deep into moonshine country.

Gooood Afternoon!!!
OK, as usual, all the disaster talk from yesterday was false. Go figure. Rained and a little windy, but warm & humid. Just like now: 61% humidity and 66F. Was impossible to sleep comfortably, even with the windows open. Partly sunny now, breezy and supposed to be the last day, until Monday, that we see the sun. High of 58F tomorrow. Maybe I’ll be able to sleep tonight....
Double track main is down under the tree, tested the outer loop, got late and went to bed. Will clean & test the inner loop, then I need 5 more O27 Atlas track to complete the trolley loop and finish the Christmas Villages.
– for all that need ‘em I’ll check back later.

Boy, is this a big country or what, where one corner can be in the 80s and another below freezing and snowing. Yikes. Wish it was 81 here. It's more like 25 with snow showers. On its way east...

Good Afternoon,
Still a bit hot down here in south Florida, about 81 and still no rain. Can we fire our weather man? Need cooler weather down here or snow birds will suffer heat stroke in the afternoons.
Got another nibble on the RV but nothing serious, payments seem too steep. Seems like dealer consignment is the only way to sell it. Can't afford another one or I would trade it in.
Going to see if I can play with my F-7 diesel engines.

Good Morning
41/41, yea thats it. Going down from here. It is all gloom outside, a good setting for a scary movie. Breakfast was eggs, potatoes and bacon. I try to only have that a few days each week but it sure is good. Some new train activity from Lionel and MTH. My local store is receiving shipping notices which means those with big preorders are going to get a big CC hit right at christmas time. Ouch. Have a great day and I will make the best of our few remaining days in the 40s...S.J.
Cold and clear in the Heartlands with a nice northerly breeze, ahhhh nice fresh air that's so refreshing I do need to get the blade on the 4 wheeler, it will snow sometime this winter and I want to be ready.
Here's a link that I know many of you have seen, it's about an amazing layout in Germany ... perhaps we should organize a road trip to Europe so we could all see it and compare it to our own layouts!!!!

Laz--I've been following the HD contract negotiations in York. We toured that factory when we came out for the York meet, two things surprised me----the sheer size of it and what a dump it was. It was a great tour but I couldn't believe how old and outdated it was, I would be very surprised if it remains open in the long run, it would be devastating for York if it were to close.
Time to get busy.
Jon
So many roads, so little time.
Morning. 1.6 inches of rain last night. No time to go check the pond. Got to hit the road to the mountains for a funeral at 1PM. Taking wifey and two of her co-workers [what noise I'll hear as all female]. Sunny now. Calling for a dusting of snohio Sat. evening [well not a dusting as to warm to stick]. Reminds me. TV17 camera man at the famous School Board meeting [really a kid] was from Ohio. I teased him about snohio. He was a good sport about it. Got to go. Have a good one.
Aloha. Cloudy, cold, feels like snow. A quick check-in whilst I get the kids up,ready and off to their various schools. Haven't forgotten something significant yet. Dennis, Roger Grant is an outstanding author on Midwest railroads. Good books on the C&NW and Great Western too. Nice if unfortunately abbreviated chat with Brutus, Sir J and Charlie last eve. The teen came to me at 10 pm saying he needed a haircut for wrestling. He got one all right. Taking advantage of the bride's absence to get a handle on our gazillion video tapes to explore options on converting them to DVDs... Bride returns tonight.
Good morning all,
It is cooler in SE Indiana but we dodged the Snohio bullet so far. Took it easy last night and just got standard gauge trains down from attic before winter set in. Watched "Glee". It was very good with both funny and sad parts in it. I just wonder how long it will last before it burns out. I did do some ebay checking on road map values, and there is not enough value to make it worth my time. May do some attic work tonight. Once you get going on a project like that, you keep finding more things to junk or organize better. I had bacon and biscuits on the dining car before sending it to "Points East". It was an easy drive on the Tardis last night as the new power connections were working smoothly. TBIL any time. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Hi GYZ,
57 and nice here but going down later in day. The big news here is that HARLY DAVIDSON employees ratified a new contract and will probably stay here in YORK, PA. Good news for PA. Harly stated that if contract wasn' t passed they would move to Kentucky.
Stay frosty,
HAPPY FRIDAY EVE!!
Reclinerized too late [or is it early]. Was watching cable news network as had gotten email that one of my new Board buddies had done a spot on the High School site. Woke up as Lucy jumped in my lap. Her and Burg wanted out. Rain gone [had been under flash flood warning due to volume of rain], still windy and skys almost clear. Rich's full moon was right over head. Front gone. Sorry, was free meal but was just not hungry. Sleep tight.
Hey all, I have not had much to talk about so just keeping to myself while lurking in the backround. I noticed that Buckeye has been awfully quiet as of late. Just wondering/hoping that everything is OK. I was hoping to give him some friendly "stuff" about his OS Buckeyes having to play a OREGON team on New Years day! Tomorrow night we will get to find out which of the 2 teams will represent our great state! Check out the game tomorrow night on ESPN...The #7 Ducks take on the #16 Ducks! (ssounds like a bunch from Chiefs lake and pond area!).
Heybuckeye...if you are reading thhis, we will see you on the 1st! (Hope you are doing OK!)
Jim,
It is supposed to be delivered by FedEx on 12-7-09, and I will let you know how it looks. I won't run it until Christmas though.
I bought another Christmas gift tonight. I got a Kodak M341 digital camera tonight at Best Buy. I'll shoot some pics and video on Christmas morning.
Sounds like some good eats, 8nT!
RT - great news!
Chief - once you shoot them, do you eat them?
There was more, but it was so much I can't remember, lol! Prayers for all.
Snow tonight in St. Louis, hope the commute in the morning isn't too bad. Tardis is ready and time to get a move on, I'll let Mike drive tonight as I am tired of sitting all day! TTFN!
Mostly cloudy and maybe mid 40's here today.
Nice chili day at work today. 7 pots of chili and all of the accessories. Interesting selections too - smelly good Chinese chili, white chili, veneson chili, and several more or less standard beef/tomato based chilis of varying degrees of spice. Turns out that the two habinaros I threw into my batch made it the 'hot' one of the day.
The Marx 666 is boxed up to go back to its home tomorrow. I'm going to have to buy one for myself now.
How accurate is MTH's delivery schedule? I pre ordered an Aerotrain and expansion car set earlier this year. Inintial delivery was predicted to be in November. Well, it's December - not that I am terribly surprised.
Chief- I had a beaver problem on the property. I had to involve my .308
