Good Morning
Daylite started at 29 degrees. Brite sun now going into the 50s.
Long chat with Brutus last nite but no world problems solved. I have no idea what today will bring so we will wait and see.....S.J.

An excellent point, John. In fact, maybe in future years, we need a banner sign for the photo that says:

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a beautiful, clear, sunny day. 34 degrees. Frost last night. Ground was covered. Going up to a hot 50 degrees today.
Today is an easy day. I am taking it easy. Probably run trains this afternoon.
Buckeye is home. Finally unloaded all his York goodies. Melted my Gold Card.
Dining car was here and the usual Cheerios was for breakfast.
Y'all have a great Sunday.
Chuck

Chuck.....On my last purchase with your GOLD CARD for the $3,000 brass cab forward locomotive, your card was rejected. Please put some more money into your bank account ASAP, so that the transaction can be completed and the new brass SP cab forward can run on my new layout designed by several professionals that I hired using the card.
HI GYZ,
Cold and gloomy start here but the sun just came out and just got done taking dog out for walk. Tree fell down and we didn't have lectric for a few hours. They got it fized though so good to play trains this afternoon for a while. Ran trains last nite for 4 hrs. NO PILEUPs!!! Did have a problem with new MTH SD70. Seems when I start to go at slow speeds it will lurch, then about 5 minutes later will slow down when it is running at about 50 MPH. Gave it the feel check above motors and they are very hot. Anyone know anything bout this? Do I have to contact MTH or is there and easy fix? I did pre lube all points. Thanks for your info.

Buckeye.....I made a special deposit at the bank today. Feel free to buy anything you want. If you get a chance, buy me a cab-forward too. I guess I better tell them that the card wasn't stolen.

Laz, the only thing that comes to mind is the mounting of the speed sensor in relation to the flywheel with the stripes. If it is loose or to far away you can get this kind of response. Might want to ask on that other forum with the DCS thread.
Afternoon all. Got back from Sunday School [cold and spitting rain] and went right straight to Lowe's, Tractor Supply, Walmart and then to Wifey's stores in Raleigh. Got back a big limb had fallen from big oak tree in the front yard. Out with chainsaw and sawed away. Off to the pond woods. Now to go run trains and photo the traveling box car I have. Think I will go to Tractor Supply and get a gun safe they have on sale. Then also get more insulation for attic at lake house as Lowe's has it on sale. Will have to wait until a dry day though. Glad all the Yorkie folks are home safe. Chat later.

submmbobDennis - I think things may actually be a bit worse on the Ca Channel Blocker. I've noticed my BP and heart rate are somewhat higher as well now that I'm off the Atenolol. Will discuss this w/ my doc on Monday of course. Maybe we'll go back to the way it was.
Bob, Sometimes I think the drug pushers, , otherwise known as representatives have way to much influence on what is prescribed. My cardiologist seems to change my cholesterol medications every time one becomes a generic. Right now I have been on Atenolol for over 5 years and I keep thinking, this stuff is to cheap, they have to change it soon. My feeling is if it is working why keep changing, just because something new is out.
Evenin' boys. Clearing (FINALLY!) and 54 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Had to get up at 0-dark-30 today to go work at the Susan G Komen race. Had a chance to stop by the dock and syphon out 2 gallons of rain water from the bilge. Watched a good football game between two gunslingers...the old guy won. Steaks on the grill.
Not to bad a day at least the rain stopped and we got to 57. Ran an easy 2 miler and walked dog another 2 miles so feel good. Laundry and food shopping done. Now to run trains.
JON, I posted the sensor question, tanks.
Good evening all,
IIABSDISEI with temps in the 50s. Interesting day. Edged the sidewalks, no problem. Tried to fire up gas trimmer for 15-20 minutes, no success. Tried both of the old electrics that I thought were broke. One worked and got the yard trimmed. Washed the mini-van for the "saucy wench". Tired. I had the regular fare on the dining car this morning for breakfast. TBIL after "Desperate Housewives". I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Good afternoon all, got an E mail from my brother yesterday about an old school friend and fellow railfan. He has his own radio show now in Tidewater, Virginia. It's called "The Bluegrass Show With Rambling Ralph". I can get it on the internet now. He is on Saturday morning from 11:00AM to 12:00Noon on WPMH 670. He and I grew up together and chased trains as kids. I will try to catch his show next week. Looks like tomorrow will be the day that MTH puts the new catalog on the internet. They sure did a good job of keeping the whole thing secret this year or else nobody gives a rip. Usually there is a leak somewhere but not this time. Good night to all,
Ray

Ever heard of an automatic bilge pump? If you leave on in the water, you had better have one and a good battery [with a Pro Mariner charger hooked to it].
Train time.
Fife - just drill some holes in the bottom so the water can drain out - problem solved! Nyuk-nyuk-nyuk!
Got to Granite City, IL before 8 AM after both cars of us stopped at Jack in the Box for breakfast. It was about 31 degrees, but luckily no real wind. Thomas was a lot of fun, especially with our friends' little girl. My daughter and I had fun too of course! We were there for about 3 hours, then tried to go to Crackerbarrel for lunch, but they were too crowded. Hit Steak n' Shake instead - yum! Love their chili
Back home, I wired a GFCI outlet for the basement bathroom, roughed in plumbing for the sink, and finished up 2 partial rolls of insulation. Finally, I caulked the front gutter, which has been leaking. There is a gap there that the installed filled with caulk. I filled it up again, but next Summer I will get some sheet metal and patch it, then caulk that for a more permanent fix.
I'll warm up the TARDIS now and get an early start, since it is getting dark earlier - lots of beacons on the screen tonight, including one in Spain and one in the Netherlands!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Ran trains for an hour NO PILE UPs. New MTH engine still acting up going to take it down to Harrisburg to MTH dealer to see if he can fix.
BRUTUS, LOL on the boat joke NYUK NYUK KNUNK!!!!!
Talked to Buckeye earlier this afternoon. Ran trains. High speed this time. Don't do that much. Those Legacy diesels smoke more than the MTH ones do. Had to go to low on both trains and had exhaust fan going. No accidents. Ran the traveling box car too. Now for some popcorn and a movie. Busy day tomorrow. Later.
Good Evening
Well the day stayed lazy so I have no news.
Actuall I did not see anything in the new MTH catalog worth leaking out. But others might.
Banilla is ready for Brutus and the thingy....S.J.
Hi Guys. I got to working on the far corner of the layout today. Need to complete that before I can move forward with the rest of the scenery work I have planned. I also spent some time getting some trees ready for planting. Lazy day..but I got a few things done anyway.

Bob, Atenolol is a good BP medication, but it does have its limits. Regarding Calcium Channel Blockers, it is a good idea to share any such issues with your doctor. Most BP medication has a habit of making one tired, and sluggish. It is often a good idea to take your dose at bed time. This also helps as people will have a spike at waking in the morning. Again, discuss with your MD. One thing to always keep in mind, drugs affect people differently. That is one reason the side effects list is long...not everyone will have all or even any of the symptoms, yet some will have more than a few. Need to get the right one for you.
Laz brings up a point that I'd like to expand on. If you ever have an issue where the power is cut to your house for things like a power line knocked down, etc., it is a good idea to unplug your electronics. We had a family from a church I used to belong to when I lived in Columbus, GA. They had a tree take out the power to their house. When the power company came and restored power, there was a huge surge and it took out all their electronics. Everything from the TV to the microwave. I'd say this is especially true when you have a item on when the power is lost. Be a shame to have a several hundred dollar locomotive dead on the rails with the transformer at full power, but the house current lost. Then, when the power returns, at minimum, the locomotive gets launched. Anyway, an ounce of prevention.
Well, had a great service both this morning and again this evening. Had a musical group called The Voices of Mobile. They are very good. Lead by Roger Breland of Truth. I ended up on camera tonight as they were filming the concert for a video release. They also announced that we will be releasing the next movie title and information on November 15th, when Mike Huckabee is here at the church.
Upon coming home today, I did a good bit of work on the building for the layout. I fitted it on its home on the layout....looks good, but more important, it fits its purpose very well. Have a good bit more to do to finish. I want to add lights inside and out, as well as do a couple of cosmetic additions. Coming off call tomorrow, I should be able to get a few things done on the layout this week.
God Bless,Dennis

Evening All,
Another weekend done, now back to work tomorrow. Did get a chance to post some pictures of a little Daylighter, that seems to really like it around here with all the Big Boys!
Seems everyone had a good trip to York, Buckeye I think it would be appropriate for you to enter that brass Cab Forward in the next CTT Car Exchange !!
Sure was good not having any difficulties with vehicles for a weekend! Well do have one minor problem. We have a total of 5 vehicles right now. (Wifes Buick, Chris car, old van, new van, and El Camino), and only 4 parking spaces. 2 in the garage, and 2 in the driveway. Can NOT park on ANY residential street, city ordance. Then Monday is street sweeping day, no parking until 12pm. Therein lies the problem. So after considering various scenerios we ended up with 2 in the garage, 1 outside parallel to the garage door, then 2 in the driveway. I think we will get away with it. If you park a car on YOUR lawn, immediate citation, if the vehicle is past the driveway interfering with the sidewalk, citation. If you park one on the driveway apron, citation. Take it to a shopping mall or parking ot, most probably it won't be there when you return. Think the recycler will have one in a couple of days. Whats frustrating; July-New Battery, August- Rack & Pinion, September 4 tires. UGH !!!!
Take Care ALL !!!!!
Later !!!
Don
Wow Charlie. Good looking trees. Reclinerized right after 11:30 weather. Off to bed. Good night all.
Agree with Chief Charlie, nice trees! Don, around these parts, that van would become a lawn ornament. Well, off to work. Not much on the schedule, but have a good bit to do at home. Hardly anyone on the forum this morning.
Dennis
Hi GYZ,
28 and frosty here this morning but no rain. We had gotten 3 inches since Thursday.
CHARLIE, nice trees did you make them? Great detail.
DENNIS, wife lost her wireless router for the computer. Thanks for the heads up.
