Morning all!
Beautiful day here. Both kids completed school yesterday, but band camp started for my son. Band camp runs through end of next week.
Chief - glad you enjoyed your surprise yesterday.
Buckeye - congrats on the new addition!
Hope everyone has a great day!
Regards, Roy
Good Morning,
Been getting some good amounts of rain like anjdevil, maybe not as much. Temp expected to go to 90 today, and near the 90's for the rest of the summer or hurricane season.
Insurance going up again, the govenor of Florida just signed a bill the other week that lets the stae run insurance company raise rates by 10% every year!
Got most of my Laser Art kit built, what a nightmere for such a small building! I will stick with Plasticville or MTH buildings in plastic, no major work or detailing to do.
Expecting more layoffs at work as summer is here, less people(commutors & teachers) traveling on turnpike.

Good Afternoon from Blueberryhill....
It is a cloudy 66 degrees. No rain in the forecast.Going up to 78 today with a little sunshine.
Today is busy. Just ran a bunch of errands. Now I am taking it easy. I have to plant some flowers in the deck boxes later.

Looking forward to a great weekend! Plan on going to "Big Train Show" in Ontario tomorrow. All gauges, really have interesting stuff. Considering some of that Bullfrog Snot, anyone have any experience?
Still fighting the DSL at home. Called again yesterday and complained it was taking 40 minutes to load MS Hot Mail front page. So they tested the line, and confirmed it was way to slow. Sending a tech out next Monday ! Get home last night, and totally unaccessible! Family not to pleased! Then this morning it was barely on again. So try to get some stuff up today I'm delinquent on.
I think SPMan is going to get rained on today! I can see the black clouds rolling in quickly from the coast, headed right toward the foothills.
Thanks, for the compliments WE ALL did good. Lots and lots of support from everyone. When I receive the hard copy from Wake Weekly I will scan and email copy of the page to everyone so you can see the relative location of the ad. (Unless the Chief can do that, he probably has 600 copies laying around. On second thought he would probably try to remove the Cream of Wheat.)
If you see a update on the last SPF, it is Jim's car, it really needed to be in that edition. Really sorry for the delay. The car left here today for Iowa.
Later

Morning all. Beautiful day here. Redoing a bathroom today - mostly painting - after spending all Thur. taking down wallpaper = ugh. Have lots of projects it seems according to the bride. But a boxcar arrived on the interchange track from Iowa today! So eventually we eat a beef. Never saw one up close. Only wrapped nicely in the supermarket.

Good Afternoon All
As I was going through some boxes underneath the layout last night, opened up a box that contained a bunch of 6464 boxcars. I hadn't seen these guys in a month of blue moons. Fun stuff, to look at trains that you played with 50 years ago. Well anyways, have to take em apart to clean up the shells and to lube the wheels, axels, and truck pins. These are boxcars that were purchased new when I was a kid and they have the scars from crashing through many Lincoln Log forts and into other trains. This weekend they will be on the rails bringing back memories of the fifties and sixties.

Don,
I was wondering if the Bullfrog Snot could be used as a replacement for traction tires when they wear out.
If you get some it would be good to have a report.
Buckeye Riveter tgif............now off to Atlanta, Georgia for a conference. ... I'm tired.
Get some well deserved rest buddy ... you need and deserve it ....
Don .... what alot of problems with speed are internet service providers are selling bucu subscriptions / adding folks and not upgradeing or expanding their equipt. .... thus we suffer ... I think they call that greed on their part .... and if most could check .... at peak hours it slows down to a walk or crawl . My wonderful cable company here likes to break down about every friday night ... .... or saturday morning and take their phones off the hook ! ....
LAZ ..... man have'nt seen you here for a bit ... good to seeya !
Did fifedog say he was going to fasten one of those pink flamingos to the bow for an ornament like the old time sailing ships have ? I may have been mistaken ... .
Not posted for a while, but some stirring on another forum has awakened me.
Sorry chaps. I nearly blew it yesterday when I phoned the Chief and wished him happy b'day.
Don, I spoke to a nice lady at 'The Wake Weekly News' and she is sending me a copy of the complete newspaper. Which I shall treasure.
The other forum that is spitting a lot of vitriol into the ether should grow up, they would not have brought me into the Lionel fold, with their atitude I would have likely taken up with knitted dolls.
LONG LIVE THE CHIEF!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUDE.
John Baker
Morning all,
Don, you were right! We had some pretty heavy rain last night or actually early this morning around 5:00AM for about 30 minutes. It was good for the lawn and we can use it.
Don't plan on going to the show in Ontario tomorrow but may go to the TTOS Southwestern meet in Arcadia on Sunday.
Great job on the greeting for the Chief and thanks also to Buckeye.
Only exercised my trains once or twice this week. Need to run more often. I need to build a freight storage yard bad. I've run out of room for stuff on the layout and I hate to start packing stuff away. If you can't see it, what's the use of having it. I used to sell stuff off when it got too crowded but now you have to give stuff away to sell it so I'm hanging on to it until the market improves a little.
Beacon on for Tardis pick up tonight. Need to go see what the Chief is up to at the lake.
Tried out the new KFC grilled chicken last night. It was very good and healthier than the original receipe stuff. They had a chicken *** and wing, cole slaw, mashed potatoes and a buttermilk bisquit all for $3.99. Could have eaten two orders but glad I did'nt. Have to watch my triglycerides.
Have a good day y'all

Tom, my friend of 24 years, a veteran, a husband and father has passed away. Again thank you for your prayers and kind words these last few days.
Buckeye.....My condolances to the family and yourself. Tom is in a better place where he is no longer suffering. There is a new country song out that has the following words in it..."God calls us all home ....." Be there to support Tom's family and remember he is no longer in any pain!
Prayers to the family and you to help guide you through the next few days.
Ken
Buckeye.....My condolances to you and also to Tom's Family. It is really sad to loose a Great Friend.
Prayers will be said for you and for Tom. Have a safe trip down South and watch out for the Grits.
Best of Luck always.
Lew.
OLE TIMER,
End of school year for me. had to get the kidos done with their wood projects. When you have 60 kids time flies. And thats just the 8th graders, then another 60 for 7th and then another 30 in HS. Don't have much time. But its over for another year! 3 more years then I'm going to retire.

We did it. We made a devious and cunning plot around the Chief's Birthday to move Buckeye south to Atlanta , GA. He has just landed at Atlanta airport and plans to infiltrate to the Carolinas. He will be hard to detect as he has rented a candy apple red Hummer and is driving at a high rate of speed. He plans on " toilet-papering " Chief's house in Roseyville, as Chief is at his Lake house. Buckeye has a huge sign reading "CSX Headquarters" which he will install in Chief's front yard.
More information to come................
Buckeye - sorry about your good friend passing. Hopefully he went peacefully.
Chief - there are strange things afoot in your area of the country - particularly if they are driving around in candy apple red Hummers. If there is a plot devious enough to get Chuck stirred up it must be a doozy. The good news is in that rig he'll never make it out of Atlanta. He'll run out of gas! Meanwhile back at the ranch....
Good one Al!
Welcome Bob!

Let me be the first second to say
I see you have met the Chief. You will enjoy the "Coffee Pot". We are a little crazy, even a little childish, But hay we have a great time. Feel free to join in, ask questions (even about trains). We are all friends on this thread.
Buckeye, condolences on the loss of your friend. R.I.P.
AGHR Bob, welcome to the coffee pot. I know a few of the guys at AGHR like Matt, John P.and have met some of the others. Don't think you and I have met though. Nice big layout down there but it is a little distance from me (Glendora). I know some of your members drive a long way to get there but I',m too old for that drive now. I hate freeway driving anymore.
