Happy Birthday Chief! It would appear as if you are a very popular person and a great reference source. AND mostly you are very much appreciated and that is what is important. Hope your day was great!  I know by now it has wound down for you folks on the east coast.. Dining car just pulling out here on the westward side of things!

Now some questions/assumptions about some of your "local" terminology! Dining car I finally figured out what you were all referring to. I THINK when you are referring to the Beacons you are talking about your Internet connection signal. Correct? And now the two that have me totally puzzled...Tardous and bannilla!

Well enough for one day. Dogs are barking so better go see whats up.

Good night all!

Welcome Strogey! Pull up a chair.  We pretend to ride together in a Tardis - it is a sort of space ship from a great British Science Fiction TV show called Doctor Who - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TARDIS   - 'beacons' are something we pretend to turn on to get picked up by the Tardis on our evening sojourns. We'll be sure to home in on yours so you can journey along. Off to Roseyville, NC for some celebratin' - come and get us, Brutus!

It was one of 'THOSE' days at the plant today.  Late home, wingbackized, helped my wife with her passport renewal forms.  Was headed for bed, then remembered that I needed to check the forum today.

Congratulations to the new grandparents.

Happy birthday Chief.

Prayers for those in need.

Train stuff - not much.  Going to try negotiating on the MTH GM Aero Train during my weekly visit to the local hobby store in the next day or two.

Noticed one more choice for the weekend - an AMA motorcycle race at the 1/2 mile dirt track in the Fairgrounds.

Later all.

HI GYZ,

WOO HOO!!! DONE WITH DA KIDOS!!!!!!!

Yesterday was my last day with the kids.  I have in-service today, then here we come summer.  The last 2 weeks was up to my eyeballs in work with getting projects done.  Got em all done and all the kids were happy.  Yesterday was our rewards day, and I gave out my GOLDEN HAMMER AWARD.  It is one of the most coveted awards given to middle school kids.  What I do is make up some oak plaques,a claw hammer, spray paint it gold, then on our CNC router etch brass plates with their names, year and Golden Hammer Award on it.  Its really pretty neat and have been giving them out for the last 25 years.

Monday I start my road running at 0530, getting back it putting down 25-30 miles a week.  SO get ready BUCKEYE, FIFE and CHUCK, your legs are gonna be hurting.

BUCKEYE, CONGA on the Grandpaship.

Sign - Welcome to all the newbie puppies.

Angel to all in need especially BUCKEYEs friend TOM.

Stay frosty,

Mitch -- hang in there man!  One of my best friends was the high school principal, after a horrible day he would tell me "I spend 98% of my time with 2% of the kids/parents" --  guess which 2%?  Better days are ahead for you, keep the faith.

Morning.  Rainy here in Roseyville.  That is good as the lawn and garden needed some.  Got several tomatoes almost ripe [those that were started early in the greenhouse and had blooms when I transplanted them].

Fifey, now that is a great compliment.  I will say that ALL of us make the "Pot".  It is the whole gang that has made it so successful.

Trains today as no appointments and raining.  Got to get the traveling box car moving.  Have a good one.

Good morning all,

IIABSDISEI with temps heading to the 70s.  I did weights at the YMCA only last night and rested the toe the rest of the evening.  Could be busy this weekend.  Have two games to ref on Saturday and the IRL race on Saturday night to watch.  Wehldon was fastest in first practice, the Princess was 2nd, IV was 14th, Sarah 17th and Milka Duno (Milka Duno?????) was 9th quick.  To answer the question, the dining car is the kitchen at our houses.  Blueberry Hill has a beautiful waitress and I have the "saucy wench" who are actually our lovely wives.  This place is sort of like the "Bob and Tom Show"  where they say "featuring Bob as Bob and Tom as Tom ----- listen up, you'll catch on" :-)   TMWUMNSFGH.  I had the regular fare on the dining car for breakfast.  Beacon is lit and I can drive.  I hope everyone (especially IV and Sarah) has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

MIKE C.

BOB and TOM, I only get to listen to them for 10 minutes going to school in the morning.  But in that time they make me laugh so hard sometimes.  Great show, warped sense of humor.

Good morning all, Low 50's and raining this morning. Low 60's is the predicted high. Nice for the weekend.

Chief  Belated Happy B-Day

Things went well with the grandkids last night. Ran the trains for a short while. we're taking them to High School Graduation this evening. My niece is doing much better(thanks for your prayers) and graduates tonight. Along with one of my nephews. Saturday we're taking them to the Amusement Park while their parents attend a wedding

CNW, I forgot to answer your question. A feeder is a beef. I usually finish them (Butcher shop)at around 24 months. I usually try to buy mine at 12 months. I can buy them for less than it costs me to feed a cow for a year to get one and then feed the calf for a year. Not to mention all the extra manure to fork. (been there done that)

Prayers for all who need them.

Morning guys,

Sunny with clouds today up to 85.  Lots of rain last night with thunder.  The princess left at 5:50 last night and arrive in New Jersey at 8:15, just as I was bringing home calzones for dinner.  Miss her already, but I know she’ll have a great time there.Sigh

Nice to see the Chief surprised, sorry I couldn’t be on line to see it....work was busy yesterday.

I have a 3PM appointment to go look at a bunch of train stuff.  I’m trying to build a layout for a friend of mine and this may end up being the rolling stock I need to make it happen.  I’ll let youze giz know if there are any leftovers!!

fife – I was in Garden Ridge and they have a sale on pink flamingoes.  I immediately though of you (2 for $13 – such a deal!)

See ya inna bit...
