Morning.  Raining and cold.  Yankees love this weather.  Getting ready to go to Miss Edna's and then to a Town Hall ribbon cutting in near by town.  Well, stored wife's Christmas tubs under layout.  Had them in one of the guest bedrooms.  Should stay there as no one ever visits.

OT, good find on Ebay.  Patrick, keep trying.  Hey, send me an email and I will give you some hints.   B&O box car is only good enough to be a Cab1 holder.  Not to be run around the layout.

Hope all have a great day.

Lets see if this picture posts for me? If it does, a big THANKS to Greg!

And no thanks to Bob Keller's "How to Post Pictures" thread. His instructions are way off.

If he or anyone wants to know how far off he is please contact me.

Morning!

Thank you again for the great time running trains last night Sir James!

Charlie:  Great Photos!  Great Videos!

Here's a bit of the festivities from the cab of an Atlas GP-15.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35IFp61d6fA

The dispacher at the kpolak branchline was sacked after another dispatching error.  The 9678 was discovered east at the SJ yards, instead of following the origional route south to Ohio.  Photos Sunday.

A look at SJ's train room.

Look real closely and you will see good taste.Bow  Notice the Cab 1 riding on top of the B&O Box car.  (SJ...I assume you have been looking for the CAB1.)  Then there is a Timken Ohio Box car with an Ohio Central Boxcar and an Ohio Central Steel Coil Car.    Notice the C&O Hudson with the C&O passenger cars.  My only criticism is there are not enough Ohio themed cars on the layout.  Laugh  Nice layout SJ.

A look at SJ's train room.

Normal looking Yankees from MI.  Real pale from not seeing the sun for days on end.  Tired looking from walking in waist deep snows.  Good night all.

WOW !!!  Now that's what I would call a nice basement!  Looks like there is a LOT going on there!  I saw at least two levels, certainly wouldn't call that a "naked layout".  The pictures are good as well!  I guess the good news for me is, that it is probably a good thing I don't have a basement, couldn't afford to fill it.

 Nice job guys!!!

 Nice pics of SJ place.

I confess, I didn't read everything since my last post, way to much.

Hope everybody has a nice weekend.

AH, the Roseyville Sonic.  Don't like Sonic so hardly ever go there.  Well, long day with lots of meetings.  Town Manager has saved his job as far as the Mayor is concerned.  He denies what was said and I believe him.  Makes the Chamber member a trouble maker.   Manager did appoligize for any remarks he made that shed a bad light on me [he made a few but not as strong as Chamber member says].  Appoligy accepted and all forgiven.  Good Lord says if you can't forgive, you can't be forgiven.  We will go forward as nothing ever happened.  His job is saved which is the better of the options.  Now to handle the Chamber member. ????

Now I am glad Patrick came to my defence.  Just wait until York.  Grits will be all over the place.

Cold and raining.  Sometimes pours.  Same for tomorrow and Sunday.  May not clear until Tuesday.

Time for some popcorn.

Well, just when I was about to leave the hospital today....in comes an emergency.  Was kind of a strange case.  Nurse walks down the hallway and says " you have an emergency ASD to do"  to which I say "an ASD? that isn't an emergency!".  Long story short, a patient had a clot go to her heart from a broken ankle.  She had the ASD (Atrial Septal Defect) which in her case, was just something we all have, but hers didn't close after childbirth.  Anyway, the clot had gotten lodged in her heart between the two upper chambers and was causing her valves to not work properly and she had some clot go to her lungs which caused her to have problems breathing.  In most cases, these type of cases would be fatal, but by her having that defect in her heart, it stopped the bigger clot from going to her lungs and killing her.  This was the type of situation we did on the fly as it is very rare and we may publish it in the journals.  Patient doing well.  I'll spare you the photos.

Not much to report on the train front.  Hope to do some work on the layout this weekend if the honey do list gets done.  Hope everyone has a blessed weekend.

Dennis

Test to confirm Patrick's picture will display.

Patrick,

I added http:// in front of the farm4.static.flickr.com/3561/3351131159_7044044ae3_o.jpg

and enclosed all of it with image control codes which results in the photo being displayed.

Have to space the following out so it displays.

[ i m g ]  http...........jpg [ / i m g ]

When you type the above, there must not be any spaces between the first [  and the second ] characters.

Hope this helps.

 Patrick,

Your not having a Sr Moment, I couldn't get the info to post correctly, and I had to run.  So I deleted it.  Let's see if this works,

If it posted put " " at the end, no spaces, and no quotes.

Don, I will be out until late tonight. A preplanned night out with the better half. I will experiment with posting pictures tomorrow. If I don't figure it out I will call. Thanks for offering.

Our master plan is working perfect in Roseyville.  Chuck and I should own the place in ten years

Buckeye & Chuck----are you sure this is something you really want in 10 years?  The boss & I are trying hard to simplify our lives and it seems to be working, I'm thinking if you and Chuck own Roseyville your lives would be adversely affected.  Not the Golden years you want .....  perhaps "tarnished years".

Just trying to help my friends in Ohio.

Jon.....Thank you for your sound and wise advice.   If Chuck and I owned Roseyville our lives would be one big headache all the time listening to the locals whine and complain about:

the weather,

the Roseyville Mayor,

the dirt roads,

the howling dogs,

the broken Roseyville sidewalks,

the bad smelling Roseyville water,

the outhouses,

the cattle roaming free in Roseyville,

the broken traffic signals,

the burnt out street lights,

the indecencies at the Roseyville fire station,

the card games at the Roseyville police station,

the local inept Roseyville basketball coach,

the perverts in the Roseyville Eagles park,

the crumbling Roseyville clock tower,

the missing stop signs,

the NS train wrecks in Roseyville,

the gun shots in the night down at the pond,

the wild packs of dogs,

the constant bickering at the Roseyville council,

the lies told in the local newspapers,

the Roseyville rendering plant expansion,

the chlorine gas leaks at the Roseyville sewage plant,

the decrepid and burnt out buildings

and of course the dozen or so houses of ill repute.

Yes, thank you again for your advice and counsel.

And with that I say,

Laz.......TGIF

Earlier, got done trying to catch up on posts.  When I reached the grits post, I started to feel nauseous and light headed.  Thought I had better lie down and take a rest.  Nightmares ensued, with Dennis and Rich dressed in tights and pirouetting through a swamp of grits.

Only a ride on the Tardis with a bunch of Laz' Ole Mils and Kurt's wine stock will settle this boy down.

I lost your helpful post. First you were there and then you weren't. Did you delete it, or am I having a senior moment? The problem is I can't get the picture to appear on this screen.

Chief, I was with you all the way on the grits but you lost me when you put coffee in the red eye gravy.  I thought coffee was for drinking and grits were for eating.  I will reserve judgement until I try it but that won't be anytime soon.

This is an experiment.

I am learning to post pictures, so please be kind. If a picture or two appear in this post I succeeded. If not, back to the drawing board.

Here we go.

Patrick

Well that didn't work. I need help.

I followed Bob Keller's post on How To Post Photos (1st post on the forum), including opening an account with flicr.com, uploading photos to them, copying their URL of the photos and pasting them under the green tree shown above. I tried both of there URL's, one at a time, and that didn't work.

Any ideas where I went wrong?

thanks,

Patrick

EDIT NOTE - Just received the email notice. It shows two red X boxes indicating pictures. Confused

Jon.....disregard what Buckeye said. He must have been drunk again. Why would I want to own a swamp? Maybe we could sell it to somebody in CA. They will buy anything. Or we could cement it over. Anyway, I have enough grass to cut now.
