Gang, I found out this guy can't type a message.  He lost all his fingers.  Uses a pointer to get pictures like this and then hits the proper keys to get them posted.  Right Al?

Chief !

Hope my pic made you laugh!

Glad you came back! Guess I found how to type!

WELCOME!

SJ, hope all goes OK with you.  I got two excellent reports this AM.  Stress test was great and my labs from yesterday were great.

BTW: RT, no apology needed from you.  Not irritated with you.

Hey Fife--

Doing well in the Heartlands, thanks for asking.  Still busier than a one armed paper hanger, let me tell you............ the next time I retire.............

We have the joy of having the princess here for 5 days, having grandchildren is so much better than being a parent, LOVE IT.  She and I have been running the wheels off of Thomas while the boss is at work plus we've had some great walks.  We will be heading over to Omaha in the next few days to the Henry Doorly Zoo, one of the best PLUS the Union Pacific headquarters Thumbs Up

While she sleeps I have been making the final reservations for youngest son and I for the Yellowstone road trip this summer, I really enjoy doing the leg work on this project.  Need to hit the Power Ball so we could do Alaska some year------guess I need to buy a ticket Smile  Then I could also buy that sail boat for the winter---oh to dream.  A big cruiser for you & family plus an Electra Glide  for  andjedevil!

Seems like a lot of drama on the "pot" lately, kinda silly IMO, but then again-----who asked me Laugh

Jon

So many roads, so little time.

Good evening all,

Not as nice as yesterday, but got to 60, windy though. I ran my GG1 set for a little while today, added three other cars to it so have an eight car train. Had a c-scan today and the IV left me with a strange feeling for several hours, but not the warmth she said I would feel. seem ok now. Banila is ready so bring on the Tardis..S.J.

Dont post for a couple of days (week), and the whole pot falls apart ConfusedConfusedConfused

Some folks MAY forget, (notice the title of this post), That when you reply to a post the system copies the title of THAT post and brings it forward automatically.  (I replied to a post from page 9.)  Now, of course we know that IF you were so inclined, (AS the Chief AND RT did), You can edit the post's title.  Seemed rather innocent to me.

And, someone got their Feathers ruffled ?????  I find it all too hard to believe !!!!!!

The BAD THING is as a RESULT of having the other thread DELETED,  we LOST THE HISTORY !!!  Especially the SPF !!!    Historically, if I would go to an Avatar of someone that had posted in that thread, and look up previous posts from the profile.  I could bring up the thread.  Now we can't even do that.   TOO BAD

I guess we have all been sent to our rooms,  just have to eliminate all the light heartedness, I guess.  DisapproveAshamedAngrySad

EDIT -  There have been 2 other posts while I was compossing the above, and the title had already been changed.  Sorry, didn't mean to make is seem confusing.

Apologies to Bob for any complaints he might have received on my behalf.

Doug Murphy - we have a place around here called Andy On Call, do they have those near you?  I hired them to fix some pieces of siding after a neighbor's rotten kid shot holes in it.  http://www.andyoncall.com/HomeOwners/locations.php?state=IL  Maybe they can fix your shingles?

Had a short talk with Sir James this afternoon, just got home a little while ago - need to grab some supper.  TTFN!

Since you all want to mess with the "sacred cow", The Coffee Pot, I am now posting on another forum.   Was funny at first.  The verbage was almost the same since it started yeers ago.   I changed it back and some wanted to keep on changing it.   Has nothing to do with North/South, Yankee/Rebs.

Chief - I checked the other forum but couldn't find your post. Is it 3-Rail O-gauge Train Form? What is the thread title? Could they have deleted it?

I like to keep up contact with my friends.

I sent the following email to the chief as this is how I take it to be what happened.

"

I was joking and so were you at least I thought you were to me it all started as a joke from you on pot #4 when you changed the name to a Big Bowl of GRITS so I went the next day (took me that long to think it up) and changed the heading to Grits and sweet Ice tea Free zone as a come back to what I took as your joke. I have to admit I was kinda up set today when bob came about the changing of the titled as I saw it as just playing around again going back to your change. If I upset you I'am sorry I'm going to post this in the #5 coffee shop also as I feel if I can cause a problem in front of everyone I can appolagise in front of everyone.

As I see it we all were just having some fun and I guess it got carried away. Sorry

Bill

Well I see the #4 one has been totalally removed from the forum which probally is just as well.

Sorry about the green background everyone.  Didn't know how it would show up, and didn't like the results either.

Fife, when I was at Fort Benning for the shooting competition several years ago, a group of us went to Outback for dinner.  Group included some Brits and Aussie shooters.  The Brits and Aussies both held cigarette lighters under their Foster's to heat them up.  We all had a fun time, regardless of the temps of the beverages.

I hope Chief returns, enjoy his friendship and contributions to the forum.

Have to run, but I hope that everyone has a blessed day.

Dennis

Nothing quite like the Pot. Even though half of everything that goes on is 'over me head.'  I hope you're all enjoying your day. Colder here. Jack is right - it's not easy, even in this economy, to find someone willing to fix a roof instead of replacing it.

Hey Chief, sorry if I said something wrong.  Whatever I said about the pot was done with tongue firmly implanted in cheek.  I don't really know what I'm talking about regarding the history of the Coffee Pot.  I've only been posting on here with any regularity for a relative short time compared to you "regulars".  All the things about the South kidded about on here are really dear to my heart.  After all, I was born and raised there in North Carolina and Virginia.  I live in California now but I"m really a Tar Heel.  I do get a kick out of your posting and would miss it if you choose to go somewhere else.

Good morning all, I have'nt checked in for a while.  Been having a hard time keeping up with the pot what with all this duplication of the coffee pot section etc.  Have had an overload of talk about grits and sweet ice tea.  Now it's Yankees and Rebs.  Sorry for the grumbles but I need to complain about something.  Have'nt been in the train room lately.  Maybe today.  I have been running a piggyback train a lot lately with SD45T-2 SP diesels and a reefer train with with SP black widow F units.

I totally missed St. Patrick's day festivities.  My wife is a real Irish person but she did not want us to fix corn beef and cabbage.  Says there's too much fat in corned beef.  I prefer ham and cabbage myself.  I don't recall the idea of pinching someone if they did'nt wear green.  Must have been absent the day they talked about that. Only thing I did was watch rerun of the Quiet Man.  Good Irish movie.  I hear they dye the river green in Chicago on St Paddy's Day.

Have a good day y'all

Ray
