Rich - Sounds like a tough day - you are really doing God's work helping out.
Doug Good to talk anyway, lol! Thanks for the advice on the mud, I walked away! I can sand it some more tomorrow night, lol! Unless it's another kid night with school or girlscouts or something.
Kurt - Kein Problem, but you have to drive, RT isn't legal to drive on those pain pills!
Okay, SJ said that supplies were running, low, so we better get moving - be by to get ya soon!
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
Kurt, notice I did not say all Yankees. Just two states of them. The guy in CA called Shake and Bake, he has always been a "goner". Ran a deep virus/trojan scan a few minutes ago [takes over an hour]. Something "poped" up and it was not popcorn. I had just been on YouTube. Makes me wonder. What really gets me is CA [Time Warners great virus and spyware] did not catch it. Off to bed.

Evening all!
Back from all my travels. No bones broken skiing and Las Vegas lost out on me again. Not a single cent of ol' WR's money was wagered. You guys should have seen the lines for the NCAA tournament wagering windows. LV is a real pain to travel to anymore. The hotels are so large it is near impossible to walk anywhere and they have prevented street level pedestian access in a couple of areas on Paradise street - so you have to meander through these stupid elevated walkways and tunnels through buildings (and not well marked either). A real pain. To take a taxi anywhere is usually $10 min. Traffic is horrid. What used to be a 15 min trip from the airport in a taxi for $15 is now a 20-30 min wait in a taxi line followed by a 20-30 min cab ride for $40.
Hope all are well.
Regards, Roy
Headin to bed.Rich - do you have a list of the inventory? If so, could you email it to me?Rough weekend here. Spent yesterday and today doing some minor home repairs and I think I messed up some ligaments in my right hand/thumb... really hurting now. You guys will be impressed... I'm just about done with the Master Bathroom! Still haven't been in the trainroom... definitely getting down there at least twice this week! Gotta get this bridge done so I can get onto bigger and more complex scenery... LOL!
Chief, I applogize ! I didn't mean to creat so much concern with you about the credit and debit cards. When you mentioned on the phone you were going to send them all to me for safe keeping, I thought you were just kidding. I know they are good for buying trains and such. But I think you better hold on to them.
Thanks anyway ! Just keep'm in your pants and you should be OK.

HI GYZ,
24 and cold here, to get to 44? Ran trains last nite for 2 hrs NO PILE UPs! Also won a book on NYC Steam Power by ALVIN STAUFER. Looks like a great book. ALVIN is the guy I bought the Steam engine prints from. This is an autographed book of 223 pages. CHIEF, it even has pictures in it.

Cloudy and RAIN/drizzle today about 70. OK, I'll take it. just dropped off the princess to school, she's off on Friday and then all next week. I guess I'll be able to sleep until 7 or so........
Brent - I'm working on the sheet with prices and such. The LGB stuff is a killer, need to get the going prices and I have a couple of "rare" items I need to redo. The MTH/Lionel stuff is priced, so I should be able to e-mail it to you today sometime. I think I'm going to part out the Western Maryland Fireball set only because I can't sell it as a set. But it does make shipping easier....!
My Devils lost the Bruins yesterday and it was a very poor showing....I wasn't pleased with the effort and with 10 games in the season.....
Made roast beef with mashed potatoes & corn with cresent rolls for dinner and everyone loved it. I think I got the roast beef times down now!!
Gotta run to pick up a car, so I'll catch up later!!

Rich,Sounds good. I mentioned this to the LTS guy and he said if you have a list to bring it in. There are some guys looking for stuff that is getting harder and harder to track down. Could maybe help you out, and who knows I may find a thing or a 100! ---Mornin' Fellas.Hand is feeling much better today, so more than likely no ligament damage. Must have been the hand slamming on the prybar to get the old base from the old mailbox off the post. At least I can type without pain today. Really need to go back and read all the posts from the last 5 days... just don't have the time. So hopefully everyone is in good health and still alive. I see The Don and The Chief are trying to launder CC and DC?
Good morning all,
It is partly cloudy and mild in SE Indiana with temps in the 60s. Welcome, 8ntruck, to the forum and the pot! You will find a great (if mildly eccentric) bunch of people here. Buckeye, the answer to your question is yes. Next weekend, not only is Indy having the Sweet 16 round of the NCAAs, but also the state finals. Guess which stories will dominate the headlines? (One hint: not the high school kids). Miss a day, miss a lot on the pot. Four pages since my last posting. Sunday took Lucas back to school. His girlfriend came with us. While I let them have some smooch time, I visited one of my daughters and the grandson. Got back in time to go to the YMCA, where I overdid with my toe. It hurts like thunder again :-( Did watch "Housewives". I had a little extra on the dining car this morning before sending to "Points West". Beacon is lit, but some one else will have to drive. IHEHAGD.
Keep on training,

Mornin' boys. Sunny & 32 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Still on night work, so I can keep workin' on the railroad during the day.
Ole Timer - If you tried to PM me it just didn't take. Go ahead here.
Lawson Farms - Congrats on the victory.
Roy - Did you spot ELVIS...? "Vivaaaaa Las Vegas..."
Mike C....Like I said the Indiana High School Basketball people are idiots. They had the best high school tourney in the country and blew it. The gyms used to be full to the rafters.
I see the Chief has a virus, so I ran my Northen Tools Virus Scanner and of course I'm clean, but with the Roseyville Ruenation Virus on the loose you can't be too careful.
Busy week with morning meetings and night meetings.

Morning all. Grey, spitting rain, dark, typical Chicago Monday. Glad your hand is feeling better, Brent! Buckeye, I so agree about the Indiana high school basketball tourney - back in my South Bend days, it was great 'theatre' at a time of year when nothing else was happening - the ACC (gym) was packed for games (8,000+) - seems the same folk ruined the Illinois tourney too - 'classes' proliferate - our local high school has switched three times.Roy, I echo your Vegas experience - it's impossible to get to the airport. But I still enjoy strolling around seeing the weird hotel / casinos / people and you can't beat the weather (compared to Chicago) most of the year.Ran trains briefly last eve. The LNE car is getting a work-out.

Good morning all:
Well, the plumber is on his way back out today. Last week he replaced the storage tank. Today he will pull the pump. Have low water pressure. Probably the pump, or hopefully only the sediment screen. Should have had him do it last week.
Ray - It is unfortunate that those anti-grit scrapple lovers don't know what parts of the hog go into scrapple. Grits are made from corn, period.
RT - I didn't realize what a sheltered life you have had. The next time you stop by we will fix you a special dish of grits. However, I will call it something else, like South Carolina Stew. You will be impressed.
RT - Thank you for the confidence in letting me drive the Tardis. I won't fly upside down, only do roll overs, but fast enough that no beer gets spilled.
The plumber is at the door. Talk to all later.

Good Morning,
Sunny but cold,30. We are all waiting for more hot air to blow this way from the S.E.
Love Vegas, use to go up to three times a year but the airport hassle and the fact they started wanting families to go there took most of the fun away. It was the one place you could go and not be bothered by kids. An adult place. Just turned down an invite to go. I like kids but that was not the place for them.
Not much going on today for me anyway, my wife has a date with the dentist to replace an old filling but tomorrow and thursday is my turn to see doctors. Enjoy your Monday where ever you are...S.J.

RT- don't worry, there is no way they can hide grits in anything thats edible..
Morning. Nope virus. The tool took it out. Disked the garden and neighbors too. Wet but with this soil, you can disk it and dry it out. Nice breeze blowing but it is warm. Got to hit the road to County Commissioners as the biggest item is one of our ETJ request. County Planning does not recommend approval but County Atty ruled in my favor. Will be fun. Don't worry about grits. They are getting around. Have a good one.
Sir J, I understand from our event people that Vegas has officially rescinded its family-friendly atmosphere - didn't make enough money compared to from the adults - though in the past few quarters, they're suffering big-time from a lack of big-spenders. They'll welcome you back.
Doug is right about Vegas, it didn't take them long to figure out that Vegas is not a family orientated destination, they dropped that mind set several years ago. There are certainly times to avoid Vegas if possible: Super Bowl week, Adult Film star awards week and Spring break. We were there for a long weekend in December and had a great time even though it was the National Championship Rodeo Finals, YEE HAW, got real tired of country music blaring through the casino speakers.
Jon
So many roads, so little time.
Tell me more about these salt water sinus washes. I feel like someone is dribbling a basketball in my head. On fourth cup of hot tea. Opens sinuses for a few minutes.
This Ohioan does not eat scrapple either.
Does anyone else get annoyed with DW? In the pre-race show he was going on about "racing" for positions and then during the race it was "that's it, let them go by, not the time for 'racing.'" Geez, give me a break.
USA did better this time in the WBC than in 2006. I would have pulled Oswalt a heck of a lot sooner. Japan rocked his world the second time through the lineup.
Really sunny here today, but still quite cold.

Chief - "...on parole for assault with a deadly weapon." Need we say more? Those CHiPs were all my age. (Which is pretty old these days...)
at least the perp is dead, save the taxpayers the trouble and the families addition pain through the trial.
- for the families -
Morning all, Sun is back in Southern California after a few showers yesterday. We need the rain.
Roy, Las Vegas is not my cup of tea anymore. I would not recognized the place today. Changed planes there a couple of years ago at night so could'nt see much. Last time I stayed there was in 1959. All they had was downtown and a few places on the strip then. Louis Prima and Keely Smith were working in the Sahara Lounge. Harry James was in another lounge. Saw people like Billy Daniels and the Dukes of Dixieland. Another jazz band fronted by a one armed trumpet player called Wingy Manone. Only big show we saw was Lido de Paris at the Stardust which was fairly new at the time. Friend of mine was a dealer there then and got us good tickets for the show. That's my history lesson for the day.
Have a good one,
Ray
SPMan
Wow, that's really cool, Ray. You actually saw some of these great bands / singers - listening to Harry James right now.GregM, sent you an email. Fife and Chief, lots in Sunday's papers about the Oakland shootings - tactical speculation about what went wrong in the later SWAT assault.
Good afternoon all:
Plumber finished. Installed a new pump. Lowered it an additional 15' and still is off the bottom. It took two service calls but we now have a totally new system. RT you are right (I hate saying that), everything should be fixed at once. Now if I can just remember that.
Does CA have the death penalty? If they do they don't use it enough for it to be a deterrent.
fife - Kyle Bush wining is getting a little old - I am loving it!
Jon - Never get tired of country music. Never known it to blare. Just my opinion.
Greg - DW did reverse himself. I picked up on that as well. In my opinion he was right the first time. All out racing all the time. That would avoid the yawns and naps during the first 3/4 of the race.
RT - I am the only one on the Tardis tonight? Maybe I will park it here on the farm and tomorrow use it to shuttle the cows to their first pasture of the season.
Memo to myself. "RT doesn't eat grits......RT doesn't eat grits......RT doesn't..........
Doug,
E-mail received. Thanks for the information.
Afternoon all!
Brent: Glad your hand is doing better.
Chief: Glad your computer is fixed!
Chores day. Did find time to get to the hobby shop to order some 14v lights.
Vegas. Never been, not even on my list.
Brutus: Beacon is on!
