I turned off  "Email me replies to this post" in the two posts I made to the "pot of coffee."

They kept coming.

I went to "Update Profile" and turned off "Enable Email Notifications of replies to your posts."

They kept coming.

I deleted the posts.

They keep cominig.

Now I am going to report this abuse using the report abuse link in the bottom right corner of this post.

Email Bob Keller.  It took them about a month to stop my getting replies.  Bob got someone in IM to stop it.  I have never asked for a "reply email" since.   A problem with this software.

Chief,

I must have more clout than you. Bergie took care of my problem the next day.

 Thank you Bergie.

Kevin - LOL!

I have been in Dallas for the years of the big chill(s) - the News Year Eve ice storm that layered the city with 1 - 3 inches of ice and the big snowstorms (a handfull). All those happened over 25 years ago and we are due for a similar winter someday soon. We had one winter (82 or 83) where temps stayed below freezing for about a month (but my memory is pretty rusty).

Hope you guys had some fun with my Chief story today.

Have a great evening. Trying to stay warm here....brrrrrrrrrrrr!

Regards, Roy

Good morning everyone,

I enjoyed a nice, long uninterrupted sleep last night. I haven't had one of those in a while. I just finished breakfast, and will probably be heading out in a few.

Talk to you all later.

Good morning everyone.

TGIF I guess. I ran my new post war 2018 last night. Good little puller and a great smoker. The 6026W tender has a very strong whistle.  I think I'll keep it.

Still haven't opened up the K-Line Pacific. Maybe tonight.

I hope my friends in the nation's midsection are doing ok this morning with all that snow. Looks like Doug should have taken yesterday off. All this because of some benchwork being built in Rosyville.

My daughter Julia has contracted pneumonia. The poor kid is miserable and I'm beside myself. She's my whole world.

Busy day here today. Best get crackin. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Good morning all,

It is very strange weather in SE Indiana this morning as the temps are in the 50s?!?!  I am not sure what will happen the rest of the day.  Evidently we have a small warm front that is holding up the cold air temporarily.  Maybe this is due to the Chief halting work on the railroad???  It sure is windy though.  Took it easy last night as there was not much to do.  Watched "My Name is Earl" for the first time in quite a while.  I hope all who are affected by the weather get to work and back home safely.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Good morning from a frozen and snowy northeastern Illinois where I unexpectedly have a house full of kids this morning without school. Drat. No hobby store for me today. Actually I don't want to go outside - the house is shaking from the wind. The dog wasn't happy going outside either at 0darkthirty this morning when I was stumbling around seeing if school was closed.

Jim, pneumonia is no joke - my wife had it a few years ago and took a while recovering - well, she had a hard time resting with v. young kids and a Thanksgiving to put on... I was little help.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a mild 65 degrees, but lightly raining. Going to drop to 63 with high winds and rain. Doesn't sound too good. Better than TX snow.

Glad to see that Chief actually built some benchwork yesterday. Long way to go.

Today. I have some errands to run. Dec. 1st already. This year is going fast. I may run trains later. Need to relax and enjoy.

Jim ( jaabat )....Watch that pneumonia. I speak from experience. You may even want to get her a chest xray. Good luck to the little gal.

"All Aboard " call from the Dining Car for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Friday.

Morning all.  70 degress and going up for a few.  Might have severe storms.  I'm still going to saw and build.  I want Ohizo to be waist deep in snohioEvil [}:)] Then temps dropping fast here.  Only in mid 40's by first of the week.  Good benchwork building weather.  Mentioned to Pam about taking big sections of board upstairs.  She laughed [no help from her]. Sigh [sigh] Wish it would not rain for a while.  Could cut up the big sheets.  I have to do that out in front of the boat/tractor shelter.

Jimbo, get her to take the pneumonia shot after she gets well.  I have had the shot and now my ins. co. is telling to have the Dr. give me another one as it has been well past 5 years.  I must love pneumonia as I have had it 5 times [back to back].  This 96 is the first time I've escaped it.  Glad she has a nurse for a Mom.  She'll be fine.  Promise.

Let me get ready to start building.  Got to carry another load of old clothes to Goodwill first [found them in the walkthru in boxes].  Forgot to do that yesterday.  In the way of building.

Have a good one.  OH Jerry, Tussinux is perscription as it is super strength Codeine with a "drying out" med combined.

Greetings from NE Iowa where the sun has finally made an appearance, first time in a long time and the wind has finally settled down. Very cold. We have the wonderful job of taking care of our 7 month old grandaughter this weekend and we are having a great time. We are at her house which is perfect. I'm heading out tomorrow to judge a state jazz competition which is just a little over an hour from here so I will avoid motels, (have I ever told you how much I dislike motels?) I'll leave early and be back here about 8:00 p.m. tomorrow. Another benefit is that Cedar Falls is also home of Caboose Hobbies, a wonderful old "school train" store. I'm thinking that this afternoon that we will need to introduce Kristen to the train store and then maybe stop for coffee. Her Dad (our son) left the tubs of trains near the Christmas Tree---I think that might be a subtle hint. Have a great day, we will! Jon

I guess Chief is really working on his benchwork.  Temp is supposed to drop like a stone tonight.  Rained all last night and into this morning.  I have lots of "Honey Do" items on the plate for the next two weeks, so I am not sure how much I will get done with regard to the train table.

Dr. John, got your note, you are welcome.

THe skies have cleared and the sun is out. I took all morning to clear the driveway - interrupted by my bride managing to get the minivan stuck in the street- and having to dig it out - she didn't believe me when I said it was bad.

Some nice huge color photos of the 'national train show' in Philadelphia in this week's issue of Life - which is now a mini-insert in our Friday newspaper. No O scale.

The Chief's rain has arrived in MA. I don't have any windows in my office, but I can here the rain water gushing down a drain pile inside the wall.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.
