Yes.....It is the primary ingredient in " Yankee Manure".
The Yankee Manure Company sells tons of it to the folks down South, to use in their greenhouses. They like the " down home " aroma best.

As more and more Buckeyes move to Roseyville and build huge homes on land once owned by somebody's grandpa who fought in the war with Bobby Lee, I believe Southern Hospitality will become a thing of the past. The downside of this situation is that North Carolina will start playing better football. Look what happened in Texas, when a bunch of us from Ohio moved down there to help them build stuff and pump the oil.

Okay, I give up. How do you guys get a Williams catalog? I get nothing from Williams.

Yes, the Marriot gave me a platinum card. Is everyone, who is getting a catalog, a member?

What I meant was....Are you a member of the Williams Platinum Club ? I am not sure that is a requirement. But, it may be.
I think it hit 70 in St. Louis today! Hated to waste it at work, that's for sure! Can't wait for this 3 day weekend, either. Maybe I'll finally get my gondola finished - the vats keep coming loose. I guess I'll need to use some double stick tape or something inside there. Once I get tired of playing with the Halloween layout, I'm going to get out my Hobo accessories and start a small logging concern - shhhh, swmbo doesn't know about it yet.
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Corn cobs must be rough as this means you don't have any Yankee toilet paper. Maybe your's will come soon and correct this situation.

I've never bought directly from Williams and I'm not a member of the platinum club. I buy all my Williams trains from Marty, at Ma & Pa Junction.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a damp, foggy 42 degrees this morning. Going up to 70 and sunshine. That is a good note. It's gonna be a nice day.
I am up early this morning, by retired standards. Have somewhere to go and things to do.
Later, I will run trains, for a few hours. Need to keep working on my latest train project. It should look good when done.
Well, Dining Car is open. Time for breakfast.
Y'all have great Thursday.
Chuck
Good morning all,
It is sunny and mild in SE Indiana with temps heading to the 70s today. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice and so I will spend it getting leaves out of the yard. Last night I toted Lucas to and from work, went to the Y, and watched "Lost". It was a pretty worthless episode. If the next few shows in February do not get any better, I may drop it from my schedule of things to do. I have enjoyed the exchange of words over "words" the last few postings. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana

Good morning,
I only bought one thing directly from Williams & that was about 5 years ago. I usually send in the card that comes in the box to keep my name on the mailing list & I get regular flyers. This was my first catalog.
Good News, MTH & UP settled. The statement is worded with great politcal correctness indicating a win - win situation. But clearly MTH prevailed in this as there will be no roalty fee.
Has any one seen or bought the Lionel 2006 Christmas box car. I checked it out last evening while helping to construct the display layout at a LHS. Being politicly correct I have to say it is not very attractive. I settled for a Rudolph car from MTH.
Chief, Gald to hear that you are feeling better. Is Jim picking on you again?
Dr. John, I think that decision is one of those that we all would like to have to make. Can't make a wrong choice.
Well it's time to leave for the fitness center.
HI GIZ,
I have AM Bus Duty, to monitor our angel students, so I will be posting later then normal.
Double nickels here today, to get up to 68.
JABBAT, I still can't get on the computer to post pics at home. We are to get our cable hook up from Comcast any day know then I'll show YUZ GIZ my progress on the layout.
BUCKEYE we can only use our CNC router for lettering right know. We are waiting for the manufacturer to send us the 3 D update, then we'll have some fun.
Oh yea HAPPY FRIDAY EVE.

Good Afternoon......
The Central & Southeastern Division of OTTS, had it's security meeting this morning at a fine restaurant and after a huge meal of Northern specialties, it has been decided to install new electronic barriers, on our southern borders. The cost will be covered by a Grant , we received from the Federal Government, for Rebel immigrant protection. Ohio airspace is the next item to address.
Buckeye and I had a marvelous time talking about how nice it was, not to see GRITS in a nice dining place. Ohio has voted for a ban against GRITS.
It is a beautiful Ohio day, ( actually, they all are ). 70 degrees and sunny skies.
Chief....Sure am glad to hear you are feeling better. Your name was brought up at our meeting today, very respectfully, of course.
Well, I am off to run trains. On real benchwork.
John - glad you are on the mend! Maybe you should just get a small O27 layout with a Hudson or something, it would fit in the same space as HO or N. With a Bigboy you would need (I think) O72! I avoid controversial political discussions, so I'll let the rest go. Opinions are like , everybody has got one.
It's going to be up to 77 degrees Fahrenheit in St. Louis today, but then cooling back down for the next week, so it's an Indian Summer I guess!
Chief, I was reading back over your posts earlier and noticed your remark about having a hole in your finger -- it's better than a finger in your hole!
Roger Bielen wrote:I recall a couple of forumites discussing projects that required stripping the paint from Lionel cars, well, I've been asked to repaint a car and need to strip the original color. I was hoping that the color it is was the plastic, no such luck. I'd appreciate those of you undertaking these projects letting me know what you found best (economical) for stripping the paint from a cheap car. Thanks ya'll.
Roger, Mitch recomended full strength Simple Green, it work great for me. This was post war Lionel in both cases. Not sure if new stuff would strip that easy or not. I have also heard claims for brake fluid and there is a paint remover available from some of the paint manufacturers. I would try the simple green first. You can keep it and reuse it per Mitch. I strained and kept mine since I only used it on two items. Use a loaf pan the fits the item and it doesn't take a whole lot. A gallon jug is plenty.
Afternoon all, Chief, glad you are feeling better. If I am not on call when I start to get something, I usually make a Hot Toddy and wake the next morning a new man. If I am on call, I just have to tough it out.
Got my Williams Catalog today I am a platinum member, but it took a bit longer than most of y'all. I left a little hint with my bride that I would really like a new Hudson. We shall see.
Got my MIL coming this weekend, so I guess train layout work is out of the question. Perhaps I can sneek a little in so I can finally run some trains.
Chief and those about to build a layout, I just read my OGR that came in the mail this week and they have some great tips on command control, both types and suggestions with regard to wiring the layout. It is certainly a timely topic for me.
Have a great day,
dennis

Keep dozing off. Wonder why? L
Back from beautiful San Antonio and the state marching contest. Daughters band made finals (top 10 of 31, and the top 31 from over 350 bands statewide), but only placed ninth out of the 10. They looked great - the other bands were just better. Al in all, a ninth place is something they were very happy with. The last time they went they were something like 24th. Had some nice meals on the Riverwalk and we stayed in a neat 100+ year old hotel about 2 blocks from the river. We were able to walk everywhere, including the AlamoDome where the competition was held.
Buckeye - if SnoHIo votes out GRITS they will have to close the Waffle House at the end of Tom's street and he will suffer when he cannot secretly sneak down there and load up on GRITS.
Sunny and near 80 today. Leaves are plummeting from the big oak in the back yard and they are all being neatly collected in the swimming pool . There were a few leaves on the ground this morning and like a cartoon, they have all let loose since about noon.
Regards, Roy
