Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a light rain , 50 degrees. Going up to 68 today and cloudy. That's a lot better than cold.....and that "other" word.
Today, I have a few errands to run. And then, I will run trains and work on the layout. I have come to the conclusion that the reason " certain people" have not built benchwork is because they have no room for it.
Jim..( jaabat ).... When you get your Williams GG1, you are going to love it. Great engine.
Well, all aboard for the Dining Car. Gorgeous waitress. Breakfast.
Y'all have a great Tuesday.

Still got my cough and cold -- probably gave it to the Chief. Got a funny notice from UPS about a package shipped to me - maybe it's my Bowser motor.
That is where it came from. Thought it was from that nasty New England Yank. Back to the house as raining and I'm not standing out in the rain with runny nose and ear ache. Big turnout so far. Got to go to the blonde dermatologist this afternoon. The one who likes trains and wants to go fishing and hunting with me. She will make me feel so much better. Rain was not suppose to get here until this afternoon. They missed it again. Ran trains this AM before I went to the polls. May nap sinc eI got about 4 1/2 hours sleep last night. Later

DON, I use this one its easy just hook it up to any engine and pull it behind or push it in front. Works great, but a little costly. Check it out.

Good morning, typical gray winter day here except it isn't very cold.
Laz, You're right about the bears, real chipmonks & to be beaten by a 1-6 team.
Don, For years I used one of these.

Just bought one of these, but haven't used it yet as track has been staying pretty clean. As long as I run trains pretty regular I don't have a lot of problems. DCS is much fussier about dirty track than TMCC I am finding.

Voted about 8:15 this morning, or I should say I went to vote at that time. Of two electronic machines at my polling place only one was working. Most were then voting via paper ballots. Big mess. Took about 20 minutes, but normally no line where I vote at that time of day.
Hope to get some work done on doll house today.
Jim, I'm glad to hear someone else voted today. For all of my Buckeye friends, I am supporting Mr. Lunatic Fringe, Ms. April Shours and my good friend Mr. Bud Wieser in today's elections. Of course in Ohio, Mr. Harry Butts will win by a huge margin over Ms. Patty Cake because she is an idiot.
Sadly all the political ads are ending, and Laura, Archie, Condoleeza, Hilliary and so many more of my new phone friends will probably stop calling me in the middle of supper or CSI. My wife was thrilled to get a call from Pat Boone. (Who is he?)

BUCKEYE don't forget PHIL McCRACKIN he's diffenitly a winner?
Unfortunately my favorite candidate Noneof Theabove wasn't on the ballot when I voted this morning. Had to settle for Lessor Evil.
It's raining, it's Tuesday, MUST be election day.

My exact votes also. Luni Kapow was not on the ballot. Neither was any Hollywood stars. I wonder if Gene Autry is still alive. John Wayne, The Lone Ranger, and Tonto are all gone. I wrote in a vote for Fats Domino.
I got my Williams catalog in the mail today. Nice display of products.
Hi guys,
Chuck, I too received a Williams catalog. That is the first catalog that I have gotten from them. Always get the big flyers that are about a yard square when they are unfolded, but never a catalog before. I wish they would come out with a line of passenger cars with interiors instead of the silhouettes in the windows. I know they would be more costly, but would be worth more. Wounder if they are selling any of the "Girls Trains". Also got the TCA Headquarters News & a BIG catalog from Mouser Electronics. Don't see how they can afford to send out these catalogs four times a year to someone like me that spends less than $100 a year. It is the size of the old Sears catalogs.
A lot of voting machine problems in this area. Never had many problems until the Feds decreed that we had to have new machines. When I voted one of the two machines was working, my son told me after lunch that booth had quite when he voted and everybody was using paper. In some of the polling places the paper ballot scaners weren't working either. Glad I'm no longer a Judge of Elections, what a pain.
Mitch,
You won't regret dealing with Jeff. Extremly nice person to deal with, and the parts he sells are high quality. When you order from Jeff, you send the payment when you receive your order. That speeds up the mail order process considerably. I ordered a repro top for a 494 beacon from Jeff, and it is hard to tell the repro top from an original. I also recommend Jeff highly.
Howdy Y'all,
Nice to see the track cleaning devices. I have been thinking of building my own......we will see what I come up with. I like the idea of having the magnets to pick up any metal filings. Could pay for itself by the damage it prevents.
Great to see that election day is here and once the day is done and the cheers and tears are over, we can get phone calls from people we actually want to talk with. I voted this morning, we have the electronic voting machines. They worked real well and with the exception of Denise Majette, the former congress woman from GA who hit the capital cop, no one seems to have any problems. I was looking for the question about declaring a National Model Train Day, but did not see it.....Perhaps next year.
Got some wood work done on the 3rd level of the layout. Tonight I will be finishing the track and then it is time to add the 3/4 foam insulation on the wood. I am going with the 3/4 as it seems that most of the accessories from Lionel lately have 3/4" bases (ie: Hobo campfire, etc). Then it will be time for wire and lastly scenery.

Is there a market for Wlliams aftermarket products such as interiors for passenger cars, lighting, cab details, and drop in TMCC/Cruise/Smoke/Sounds.
I don't think so, Buckeye. Aren't these specifically designed to be basic, simple, rugged. I use these words with caution in relation to anything having to do with electronics and toy trains. It's all do-able; just not sure it'd be worth it - considering what you are starting with.... You'd need a plastic drop-in for passenger seats and replacements for the windows. A constant lighting bar.... Pretty soon you'd be right where Lionel or MTH charges for such cars.
Have you ever seen their add-on 027 cars that have swappable roofs: vista domes and coach roofs? I like that.
Went on the field trip to the symphony, which was pretty good. Voted. Glad when the ads end. Can't believe I'm still getting electronic phone calls asking for me to vote on this or that. We had the option of totally electronic voting or to complete a paper ballot which is then scanned. I completed a paper ballot. I have to say that I don't trust a voting system that does not include a hardcopy for each and every single vote cast due to possible shenanigans.
Oh yeah - Happy annivesary NSTrackman! Sorry I missed that yesterday.
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.
I have been watching the exit interviews for the election and sad to say that candidates Tad Pohl, Ayma Dommy, Minnie Skurt and Yule B. Sari seem to be winning in Ohio. Ms. Skurt is the best of the bunch.
Rumor has it that the people who sold CTT their forum software also sold Ohio its election software.
Good evening all,
It is cloudy and mild today in SE Indiana with temps in the 50s. I voted this afternoon and I hope everybody that wanted to got the opportunity to do so. I went to the YMCA and we had Lucas' girlfriend over to watch a movie with us. I have to go back to work for two whole days this week :-). The leaves have really been falling, and I will spend Friday getting them out to the garden area. It is suppose to be nice in the next three days. Maybe I will get some train running in the next three days as well. "Veronica Mars" is on tonight.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana

She said it had a black place in it like a stinger or splinter. She sent it off. She kept saying, "Is this for me?" "Is this really for me?" When I handed her the 2007 Lionel catalog. She said her son will sit with her tonight and say, "Mommy, look at this!" Told her when he got older, he would have to have a layout. She said, "Yes." Another one hooked. Raining up a storm. Took for ever to get home as eveyone was driving so slow. Rest and fight this sinus cold. Later
Chief.....Thank goodness, that you didn't have a blister on your head. The last thing you need is.....2 holes in the head.
Good Evening Everyone !! Kind of wet here today ! I voted after work & was in & out in no time ! At 5o'clock, I got a call from The Presidents wife !!
Well, I'm sure glad The Chief didn't have a blister on his head too !! (that was a good one, Chuck !! )
Hope everyone has a nice evening !!
Thanks, John
