Tom,

Maybe that cold front will shift to the east a little. This is one Buckeye that really doesn't like winter weather anymore.

AH, the smell of electric train smoke as the old Lionel Hudson and Lionel Pennsy turbine click around the track. Guess what I have been doing? [:D] The sound of the old box whisles in the tenders. Think I am a six year old and it is Christmas again. [;)]

I'm inspired to go down in the basement - need the smell of ozone. We got a new dog - unexpectedly - tonight. I'm not unhappy - I like dogs - he joins our other dog, 3 cats and 2 *** pigs. sigh. My oldest daughter has been lonely for a while - so it is a new friend and responsibility for her and a way to help out her friend who had to give him up - and covertly share some resources with their family by overpaying for him- the dad's been out of work for a while. He's a cockapoo - is that the right term? name of Frodo - looks like a miniature cocker spaniel with wiry hair.

Well I have laid about 65 ft of gargraves track the last couple nights. Am doing double relays to run trains in opposite directions, you know one pulls into station..other one leaves. God what a mess of wires. Wiring everything up top first to make sure it works, then disconnect it ald conceal it. Bought some rock molds this weekend , havent had a chance to play with them yet. 2more days work then off for a couple weeks. Hey Spanky send us some snow, everyone at the local ski resorts are crying for it. Schweitzer doesnt have enough to open yet.........losing money every day.....send us about 36 " and all will be well.............Tim

Hi everyone, doug, we have exactly the same family in animals.. 2daggies, 3 cats and 2 guinea pigs... (and 3 horsies somewhere else)..
@1688 torpedo, I can emagine having no driving students when snowing with a name like that (torpedo[:D])
Here it is not cold, about 5 degrees above 0.. I don't like our winters, we barely have snow, and if we have, it's only for a few days.. We mostly have rain, wind and rain again..
I love the snow, the doggies love the snow and we all don't like rain.
Could you bring us some of the cold air you're complaining about?? Please?
Anyway, all have a nice day and keep warm!

Morning Guys,
Good and cold here in Millersburg, Pa. about 25 miles north of Harrisburg. Took the dog for her morning walk at 5:15 it was 12 out. Hey Chief went to BPS last night was impressed at the store, got my wife some fu fer ah I think she will be happy with the stuff I got her. I think Cabelas has a bigger variety of stuff but it is always fun to go and check out a new store that has hunting and fishin stuff the only thing that is missing is a good train section then it would be real cool. Have a great day!

Hey Daan - I finished the restoration - took me 3 months, so now I can ride it when I deliver the Holiday presents to all the GOOD boyz and girlz. Of course, you and some others you know won't be getting any because you have been very, very NAUGHTY!!! I sent some snow to OHIO and some cold air to Rolesville, just to remind them they had better be nice or I'll really send 'em some bad weather!!!

I was going to send some really sexxy lookin' Elf Hotties up to the Twin Cities to help the Professor FINALLY finish his layout, but he's been up to some naughty stuff too, these last few days...so I'm afraid we won't be able to watch him (or his computer) control his trains for a long, LOOOOOONG time.

I will tie some Jingle Bells to the wheels and put on my red suit in a few days when I come riding through the sky to all your houses.

Morning gang. The old man in the pictures will not be in shorts this morning. [:D] Cold here but suppose to warm. Then turn colder for a few next week. There is even a mention of a possible flake or two. Bet it doesn't get here. Making it stay in in Buckeyeland. Slept late. Now need to get some breakfast. God bless all.

Warmer today. Frodo barks hello to all. Didn't print off the Thor buildings - think I'll try to color them myselves. with crayons. Took home a bunch of scrap cardboard to work with. Got an appropriate fit of conscience when I realized I was planning to use work printers and ink to do so. Woke up wit' a cold too - probably from the baby. Wow, Jim, that bike looks wonderful.

Good Morning All,

Vacation is great, no need to get going early. NE Ohio has Blue Clear Skys this morning with temp at 29 and going into the 40’s.

Jimbo – we will be sending the snow down south on Sunday – be ready for it Chief.

Laz 57 – 12 F is cold, got to remember that Daan is in ‘C’, so –5C is about 29F.

Jimbo – the bike looks good, and I am very happy to see that you have on more than just a hat and boots. BTW – I like your elf ears.

Big_Boy – we miss you, stop by and say HI

Pick of the Day

all be safe

Hello Everyone! Jim that is one neat Motorcycle. At this time of year no one is able to ride one of those in Ohio due to the weather and the wind chill. You'll have to put together a model of your motorbike for Spanky's layout complete with sounds. Now that would be neat ! Are you sure you're Santa's favorite Elf .? With a Red Suit and Hat you could be his twin brother![(-D] Be careful not to use a Corvair as a sleigh or Ralph Nader and his Gang will be after you.[;)] Everybody have a nice day...........Keith.

Mornin' All,
Like my T-Shirt reads "One Day Of Coal For 364 Days Of Fun, I Like The Odds".
Supposed to be 80*+ today but we have wind warnings as well. Should be a good day to head for the beach and watch the surf, big waves coming but not as big as the ones at Maui, thank goodness. [:-^]

Hey, guys how do we censor this? My feeling are hurt and my fingers and feet are frozen and we learn that it is supposed to be 80 plus and the beach is open. GAG ME!!!

Doug, do you even own a ice scraper for your car windows? I bet Spanky and I have at least a dozen between us. Spanky is to get more snow.

I don't have an ice scraper. Car and truck in garage at night and Pam parks in an underground deck. At my work [now retired and my ***'t who replaced me parks there], I was one of the few that parked inside. [8D]

Don't go in the ice and snow. In fact, since I retired [and the year before], I don't go anywhere in the ice and snow [use to have to go in and give DOT and SHP 4X4's]. [8D] See we don't keep that junk too long if we get it. [:p]

Well Jim, congrats on finishing your bike. It would be nice on a layout, but I doubt if it needs scaling down..
Looks awesome; better then a new one. Did you rebuild the technics as well, or just cosmetics? I once rebuild a sparta moped, 50cc 2stroke and I rebuild the engine as well. The lady wasn't that enthousiastic since I put the motorparts in the dishwasher to clean them up.. and yes, that was together with the dishes..[B)][:D]

I had a heck of a clean engine after putting it together though!!
I have been very naughty, so blow some cold air this way ok?

Daan - you're my kind of guy - dishwashers were made to clean engine parts and an occasional dish or champagne glass. Didn't have to rebuild the engine, so it was a cosmetic restoration. Rebuilt the carb and put new points in it - that's all.

If you've been that naughty, then you'll fit right in with the Ohio boyz...the only presents they're getting from Santa Claus is SNOW, WIND, and FREEZING temperatures! Grumpy has been good this year so he'll get warm weather, light surf, and plenty of bikini beach babes.

Just watched "Charlie Brown Christmas" [10 millionth time]. I suddenly realized what is wrong with Charlie Brown. He is from OHIO. All that snow and frozen ponds. It has to be OHIO.
