Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It's a cloudy 37 degrees, going up to only 42 today and possible showers. They said snow first and changed it to rain. YUK.

I see Chief is home. Woke me up with all the racket. I'm not a Brown's fan either. Used to be. But that's another story. The Bucks played a great game yesterday. Glad they won. Buckeye is up early today. Or he is still up from the big party last night. Hmmmmm.

Today, I will do a few chores around the house and spend some time running trains. I have to get a few pieces of wood to work on the new benchwork. ( note that word, Chief ). I plan to run trains as I am working on the new section.

Here comes the Dining Car. Just rolled in from points west of us. I am off to breakfast. All Aboard!!!!

Y'all have a great Sunday.

Chuck

Morning all!  Congrat to the Buckeyes, GOOD GAME !!!!

Survived the Cal Stewart meet, picked up some pretty good deals, I think.  Got a UP 70' scale set of pass cars (7 cars) without the engine for a good price.  The seller was trying to sell it as a 14 car train, and let me have just the extra cars.  They are MTH and should look good with the Lionel 4012, that is on order.

Speakin of which, talked to Lionel reps about Dec delivery date.  And it doesn't look good.  The engines are ready however Legacy is not.  So he was saying that lot of concern about shipping them and not being able to support Legacy, and most likely the "forums and boards" would probably give it a lot of bad PR, and it would be better if it was released with the Legacy to protect the engines reputation.  Their projection was mid/late Feburary.

Family going to work at the local play house today, so I will have to occupy my self watching the Nascar race, and moving stuff into the train room.  Big Smile [:D]

Nice picture of John and David

Have a great day!!

Afternoon all!

Back from NYC and the Grand Central Terminal museum installation. The layout looks really good and we have asome upgrades this year from last in terms of trains and operating accessories. Hit NY in another heat wave. It was 60's, very humid, with us working in t-shirst.

Congrats to the OSU Buckeyes on the big win yesterday!

My daughters HS team advanced in the playoffs yesterday, so we have another game to go to next Sat.

Spent yesterday with the mulching mower grinding leaves into the lawn. Tired of bagging them. Now I spread them out to where thay are about 10" deep and run the mower over them. Whatever remains I run over again and then I bag anything left. This way I had only 1 bag to set out. Last year I bagged over 100 39 Gal bags of mulched leaves.

Chief - I know you are on the road - but hopefully you caught Spanky's SNOW comment before you left.

Have a great day all. Lot's of football and NASCAR!

BTW - Buckeye - I sent a reply to your e-mail on Friday but have not heard back from you.

Regards, Roy

Is the game over? Can I come out of my hole now?
Good afternoon from the home of da Bears in northeastern Illinois where it is sunny and warmish, and I am finally home from working the church services and ready to go over a new friend's home to watch NASCAR. I'm leaving the rest of the leaves... Have a great day...

Good afternoon,

Have the house to myself, Jean is off shopping again.  I begged off this time, not really found of the Holiday crowds.

Don, I hope you saved a little cash for York in April.  I guess so since your post on SPF sounded like you were a little disapointed in the Cal Stewart Show.

Roy, I guess we are both pretty well done with leaves for the year.  I know I am ready to spend more time indoors.  I can't wait for spring each year and I am always ready to slow down a little when winter hits.

Chief, Enjoy your break from travel for a while.  Sounds like your Mom is getting like my step Mom as she got older, didn't want to leave her home at Masonic Village & when we did convince her to come for a meal, she was ready to go home as soon as we were done eating.

I guess I will not have to post anything on SPF as David did it for me.

Penn State managed to win but it wasn't pretty.  That Ohio State / Michigan game was a good one.  Too bad they can't have a rematch in one of the bowls.

Laz, When you open the photo and right click on it don't open "Properties" instead just click on "Copy" and try pasting that way.

Good afternoon all,

It is a cool and cloudy day in SE Indiana with temps only in the 40s.  We had a nice time at a party that a co-worker had last night.  Today was a relaxing day.  We went to the local historical society for a viewing of a traveling art display.  It was not crowded and it was nice to see the rest of the museum without a lot of people.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Well, the railroad president (your's truly) and the chairperson of the board (my lovely wife) came to an amicable agreement on the right of way for the Christmas layout. Said layout will occupy a significant portion of our foyer, in front of the doors to the office (aka, our son's bedroom). Since there is another door to this room, the location is suitable for all parties concerned (and, yes, I was concerned!).

Construction of the latest version of "Christmas in Dixie" should commence this coming Friday. Although it will be somewhat smaller than last year's version, I am pleased that the project will go forward and that soon, a combination of Prewar and Postwar Lionel, Marx, and even some modern Williams and MTH trains will ply the rails of the Oneonta & Opelika RR, commonly known as the "Round and round route." Details and pics to follow.

I thought I would drop in and say hello, (or Hey now, to the Chief).

Nasty weather this week end. Monday will be no better.

Heres a project from earlier this week when it was to nasty for me to get out and make the rounds.

I never know on here if a pic will show, what is the trick to posting them.
