It seems you're in good hands Chief..
@Tom, nice sunrise, was a cold day to follow? Is probably a good resource for backdrop painting..

HI Daan,

It turned out to be a very nice fall day, temp into middle 60's and Blue Clear Skys. Too bad I worked all day.

Everyone who keeps coming into the building comments on how nice it is outside [:(] Oh well, I got here in the dark and will leave in the dark again. It's that time of year. Glad to hear your positive prognosis, Chief. Going to pick up the new Riddle wiring book at the library tomorrow. [:)] Has anyone seen the new 'Electric Trains' special magazine out yet?

Hey Chief, you have a funny posting-amount number; 1111. Is there a special star to it? Good luck next thursday, I hope you may leave the medicines a bit after that..
Whish MIL the best..
@ spanky; we workers have to suffer, don't we? If I've had my nightshifts I got to sleep and our outside world is also nice and shiny.. Better wait 'till winter, when it rains for day's in a row.. I can sleep day's and play trains without the bad feeling.
Yesterday was also blue skies and 16 deg, CELCIUS (just to make sure you don't think it's fahrenheit, otherwise it's pretty cold)

Stay safe all.

Good Morning All,

It’s a cool morning (guess it’s normal for this time of the year) 48 deg with high going into the high 60’s and no rain. Not bad for fall. We had some lake effect clouds come in last night and block most of the eclipse last night.

Chief – you may have to cut back on some BBQ. Are they going to do the micro surgery [?]

Guess what????? Cloudy [as always]. Clouds will not leave. They keep pushing the sunny days away each forecast. I just realized why I hurt. I'm mildewing. [;)] No rain, just clouds and high humidity. To be in the 80's this weekend so they say [they said that for this week but did not happen]. Well, get to rest today as no Dr apts. Got two early ones tomorrow so will not chat with you all until afterwards. Have a good one and God bless.

Talk about a string of lousy weather days in the heartland, it's literally snowing leaves as I look outside. We love living in the country with hundreds of old oaks on our property but next week it will take the two of us 2-3 full days to wind row the leaves and burn them, ugh. On a brighter note I just added several photos to our album and will continue to update it as we aim for that December open house. You might want to start on pg. 8.

Enjoy--Jon[:)]

A nice day today - and I'm working at home - double-bonus. The library didn't have the Riddle book nor my 'reservation' for it - but I dug around in the stacks and found some basic 'Your first layout' books that had some writing diagrams I will try to follow. My wife is going away for a women's ministry retreat at church Friday and Saturday - so I'll get to stay up late tomorrow and 'play' with the trains.

Looks like the whole gang is working on trains but me. Buckeye, the shift rod is out of adjustment and not letting the gears mesh right. Done by the folks that replaced my last waterpump I'm sure [I usually do it myself]. Now the pinon dear has some groves in it. May replace it while they have it down. Will go by [at heart Dr. apt] and look at it [at their request] and go one way or the other. Nice they call and want me to look see before they do anything. That will cost a couple of trains. Pro Mariner says I will be traveling a lot for them next year. I may be flying to the away places and not the close ones. The guy that did those is out with bad knees. May get to visit some of you all while buzzing around the country. Later

Doug, if the Chief comes for a visit forget about the fishing. He doesn't travel well with sharp objects, i.e. hooks.

Good Morning all,

NE Ohio has a warm raining morning with temps in the low 60’s and will have a high of mid 70’s. Not bad for end of October.

Hey Chief, let us know if it’s a boy or girl, ha ha ha.[:D][(-D][(-D][(-D]
I think Chief is afraid to come this far north. We may have a surprise for him.

See you all later

Ultra Sound did not show anything wrong with gall bladder. Former CT indicated "sludge" in gall bladder. Was not hurting this AM [for a change] when they did test. Bet the would find sludge NOW!!!![#oops] [xx(] now scheduled for nuclear stress test Monday for 4 to 6 hours. [:(] I guess that is where you go and go until you cause a nuclear explosion. [;)] How many more test can they dream up???? [?]

It sure is weird outside - really warm all of a sudden and muggy - I can see a huge storm on the horizon - lots of lightning. The kids are nervous - so I'll hang around and read train books instead of going into the basement. I always learn something new from them. I can hear the wind picking up. Have a good night all.

High wind warning today for Buckeye Land. Maybe it will blow all the leaves in my yard to the neighbors. Worked on the layout last night and Chief you will enjoy this, I lowered the track so as to get the taller cars through the tunnel just like we do on the real railroads. Had to order some more ballast from Scenic Express. I use the rubber stuff and it looks good.

Lionel has greatly expanded their on-line store. You can see it at:
http://www.lionelstore.com/site/department.cfm?id=8C89D5D0-9467-42E1-878270A861A44996&killnav=1 Of course, their prices are too high when compared to the retailers that have been on line for years. I would have thought that their order form would have had a line just below the sales tax labeled, LAWSUIT DONATION, but I didn't see it. Maybe they will read this and take me up on the suggestion. [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)] Better yet send me a new command controled engine as a way of thanking me for the suggestion. [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

Well I better go batten down the hatches. (Does anyone know what that means?)

Good Morning all,

NE Ohio has a very warm and windy morning, temp in the 70’s with rain and a cool front coming at us. And so goes Fall.

Just think as we get an hour more of sleep (set your clock back) you will also get one hour more of political TV adds. What were we really thinking [?]

Make sure that when you buy Halloween candy, that it’s the kind you like, that way if any is left over, your happy.

Suppose to be sunny and 80's but cloudy and foggy [when will this Yankee weather go away?]. Planning on getting up leaves and mowing grass [all at the same time, no rake fits this hand [;)]] Only free day left until surgery. Have a good one and God bless all. OH, Buckeye send them about $1,000 and they will send you a new engine free. [;)]

Thanks for reminding me about the time change. No whirlys last night but a lot of lightning. After a beautiful morning, it's clouded over and gotten much colder. Very windy too. Took the kids window -shopping and to Wendys - now hope to work on the layout for a bit. Chief, we'll be praying that your surgery goes swiftly and smoothly!

So you also have the one hour back-in-time thing going on? I thought this was only something for the weird europeans.. Anyway, we had a lot of fog today, and a nice sunny afternoon. Have been building on the layout, making a layer of carpet-underlayment for isolating the rumble of the F3's. Have been trying with 3 trains at once, but I think that I need to get a bit more juice.. The F3 blows the security switch in a few rounds full speed of my maerklin powerpack. (I use the 2 amp version, which is slightly underpowered) The other two trains run on 1 amp temsi powerpack, which name is not suted for the power is brings out. My illenois GP9 managed to blow the safety switch within one round..
The next thing to buy will be more juice!
Have a nice day all, and Chief, take care; hope everything goes well.

We are having a Blue Clear Sky afternoon in NE Ohio with temp at 83 . Very strange this late in the year to be so warm. And very windy, 25 to 40 mph winds.
