[bday][bday] BUCKEYE according to The Gauge [forum], today is Buckeye's birthday. No wonder he is hiding. Does not want us to know he is 90. [;)]

Been the beach and back in one 10 hours. Visited the Youngest's new house [$1.2 million appraised [:0]] Bonas room is 40' X 20'. Told SIL I would move there and build my layout in that room. He laughed. Then took me to a big bath off the side of the room and a big bedroom. Said, "This is In-laws quarters." Garage is so large, can play half court basketball in it with doors closed [ceiling is 16']. Now that he is a contractor, he did not pay the appraised value for the house. [;)] In high restricted neighborhood. He hit it right. Bought lot and the lots doubled in price the next month.

Ate all you could eat fried shrimp and lots of sweet ice tea. [:D] Drove home. Bet the Buckeyes can't drive to the beach in 2 hours. Jon, we were in your Wilmington. Drove to teh eastern end of I-40.

Expecting some Yankee snow this everning or early morning. We will see. I'll help drive the Yankee invasion back Nawth. Later

Got some sad news this afternoon. One of our church members suffered a massive heart attack and died at home. He was only 42, married with two kids. Deaths are never easy, but ones like this just come totally out of the blue. He was at Sunday School and worship service this morning and looked fine. My heart really goes out to his family. Son is a freshman in college, daughter is in the 10th grade. It just goes to show you never know when your time will come. Best to be ready.

Don't mean to be maudlin. It's been a long, tiring week. Good to have some distractions now and then. That's why I encourage people to develop hobbies. Great stress reliever and keeps the mind working into your later years.

Think I'll hit the sack shortly. Good night, all.

Dr. John, that is just horrible. That is exactly what happened to my friend's dad, and I have not seen my friend since I heard the news.

Sorry Dr. John. Family will be in my prayers. Hard to understand God's purpose in that. If you have faith when "bad things" come, it will all work for your good and God's. We can not see over the hill. God has it all planned over the hill. I feel for folks who do not know God and his son Jesus. Who can they go to? Sorry for the sermon but that is how I feel.

Good evening all!

We had a great night tonight when Buckeye came by the house with Mrs B and Baby B. He survived his first day skiing and nothing is broken. We had some cake to celebrate his birthday.[bday]
Here are some pictures from earlier. The first one is L to R....me, my wife, Mrs Buckeye and Buckeye.

This one is Buckeye and his great looking family.

It was great spending a few hours together tonight. Hope we can do it again sometime real soon.

Asleep in the recliner again [was watching late news]. Radar shows snow form mountains to the coast. Getting it in the mountains but not reaching the ground here. Too dry. Dew Point is 11 degrees. Says it will change by morning and we are to get some snow. DOT has sprayed all the major highways. We says I-40 had ben sprayed and then US 401 [main street in Roseyville] had been sprayed. They say salt trucks are ready. Presidents Day so somw of the folks will not be on highway. Pam will stay home if icy. NC State Govt does not recognize Presidents Day. [?][:(!] Most of her co-workers are Feds so they are off anyway. Good night.

Dbaker 48,

That isa nice truck, I have not seen one of those at any of the local shops.

(The paint is in great shape, it does NOT have the pit marks, Have to figure that out.)
I understand what you are saying.

My camera brings out suttle wethering featuers on thing I make that jump out and look like a magor flaw, things that are so suttle the eye doesnt see them unless pointed out.

You truck however is the opisite, it has character in this photo.

Do you run it indoors or out>

Morning folks,
Dr John, how right you are. We may not know when He is coming back, but we also don't know when the trumpet sounds for us. Just be ready, like waiting for the bridegroom.
Collin and other young adults, I read a sign in a dentist's office many years ago
"Attention young adults, move out, get a job, pay your own way, and plan for the future, -while you still have all the answers". This is not a snipe at you, just a reminder to be humble and do as your folks wish. The good book tells us to "Obey your parents". You will find you get much further when you do as they ask and they will be willing to give you more space to do as you ask.
Chief, I hope to make it to Savannah in March. I just aquired several DVDs that I have copies of. I will let you know the titles and if you want them, I will bring them.
Dennis

Good Morning from Gettysburg, PA. The temperature is 26 degrees. Expected to get to the mid 30"s today.

Happy President's Day. Schools are closed for a much needed day off. Kids and teachers are antsy this time of year especially wth no SNOW days.

[bday] Buckeye [bday] Glad to see you survived the ski trip without major injury.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning all,

It is sunny and cold in SE Indiana with the temps reaching the lower 30s today. The wife is doing a little better today, but at least our son has the day off to take care of her. He also has an interview today at the library for a part-time job, which I hope he gets. I did some building with my bricks over the weekend and watched the Daytona race. I wonder how much trouble Tony Stewart will be in for his driving Sunday. We watched "Desparate Housewives" Sunday. It was a hoot! I plan to do some work on the small railroad some time this week by laying some cork roadbed to lessen the noise. I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana
