Good Morning from Blueberryhill
Well, it really turned colder. 20 degrees and a nasty wind chill.
We got about an inch of snow last night, but the cold air is the bummer.

I have a few things to do today and then I will watch the race from Daytona.

Morning from sunny and warm SW GA. I was hoping to do some train work today, but my better half is out of action and I will be trying to manage the kids. Have a good day, Dennis

Good morning from a gray and cloudy Gettysburg, where the temp is 33 degrees. The Mrs. has lots of little jobs for me today, getting together with friends for dinner and games later tonight. Guess the trains will have to wait.

Hope to catch both NASCAR races. Go #24.... into Victory Lane again.[:D][:D][:D]

Morning everyone,

We had a great night last night with a small surprise birthday party for my better half. Buckeye, Mrs B., and Baby B were in town so they stopped in too. It was good to see them and I am hoping we can get together for a little bit this afternoon. The kids are home for the weekend and they want to go play laser tag so we will have to figure that out.

It is really cold today. About 9 degrees now and that will be the high. How many more weeks did the groundhog say?

Have a good day all.

- Don, sorry to hear about your loss; I've had to do that and it hurts. My kids 'joke' it's the last time I've cried.
- Jim, keeping your daughter and g'daughter in my prayers
- 10 degrees below zero this morning. Just got back from working at church.
- I don't have Monday off, anyone else working on 'Presidents' Day. Here in Illinois, they get Lincoln's Birthday AND President's Day off if you work for the gov't or schools. Nice for them. Hope to work on my track cleaning car later.
- Dave, look elsewhere for that battery powered set - I found them on the websites of Charles Ro and some other CTT advertisers. Had to dig though.

Don, sorry about the loss of your companion. We've had to have a few dogs, i.e. family members, put to sleep over the years and it doesn't get any easier. Each one has their own personality that you'll remember through the years.

Don, my parents had to do that with the other Yorkie we had, and they were really upset when that happened. This was about the time when I was born, but we have another little Yorkie, Jake. Sorry about your loss. The really do become part of the family.

Now greenhouse project for buddy is done, maybe I can get going on the rooms again. Then to Miss Edna's for some train talk.

Don - sorry about your dog.

Cold here and we got snow on the ground, but just barely. Watched Tales from the Crypt Season 2 on dvd and there is an episode called The Secret - the last one of the season, with a model train in it that looked cool, but it looked bigger than O Gauge. The kid was running it and blowing the whistle. There was a lighted station and I think a water tower and maybe some other accessories, but they didn't really linger on it much. Funny episodes - the kid is adopted, turns out the new parents are vampires, but it has a "happy" ending for the boy - don't want to spoil it in case somebody will see it someday.

Also watched The Machinist - which creeped me out, but you could see the ending coming a mile away.

SWMBO is on a scrapbooking weekend, but I'm going to try and get some stuff done in the basement anyway, then maybe play with the lego train set.

The insurance guy is coming Monday morning at 8:30 to look at the siding and I've got a doctor appt Monday evening, so that day is shot already.

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

Jim,
Based on our experiences with all the homeowner's insurance co's out here your doctors appt would be a proctologist. As aresult of all the brush fires two and a half years ago it is extremely tuff getting insurance in some areas. The so-called "Good Hands" folks just flat refused to renew ours, even after making some requested changes to our home at their suggesstion. Good Luck with both appts.
Don,
Sorry about your buddy. Takes some time to adjust to the loss, we had to put our last one down several years ago and there are still times I find myself really missing him when something triggers those memories of some of the goofy things he did.
Wow, I was just clicking thru the channels when the weather channel was talking about a -35 in Ne. Brrrr
If the Chief sends a Grits car out this way maybe we can find a way to make Tortillas out of them. [:o)]

Bonehead,

Sorry for your loss. That may be one of the saddest things I've ever had to do. Take solace in the fact that you took very good care of her and loved her very much. My little Jack Russell is nearly ten years old and still going strong , but I know someday that day will come and it's really, really hard to think about.

A train cloides with woman on a horse. Stop me if you have heard this...

Arkansas surgeons were playing golf together and discussing surgeries
they had performed.

One of them said, "I'm the best surgeon in Arkansas. A concert pianist lost
7 fingers in an accident, I reattached them, and 8 months later he
performed a private concert for the Queen of England."

One of the others said. "That's nothing. A young man lost an arm and both
legs in an accident, I reattached them, and 2 years later he won a gold
medal in field events in the Olympics."

The third surgeon said, "You guys are amateurs. Several years ago a woman
was high on cocaine and she rode a horse head-on into a train
traveling 80 miles an hour. All I had left to work with was the horses
blond mane and a big @$$. Now she's the Senator from New York."

DON Sorry for your loss.
I guess that's one of the reasons they call them Mans best friend?
It stings and it will for a time but you'll always have those great memories of em.
Sorry again for the loss.

HI GIZ,
32 and windy today not a very nice day.
Ran 6 miles this morning on the treadmill, watching Olympics.
Watched the USA Men Curling team.
Now if you have never watched curling, its great.
They take these 36 lb rocks with handles and slide em down a sheet of ice that is 93 feet long and try and position em closest to the center of a 12 foot ring. They use brooms to curl the rocks into position by sweeping only the ice and not touching the rock. Lots of stradegy here trying to block or knock out your opponents rock. Sounds boring but once you watch it, it is more stratigic and it does get addictive.
Watched the women and they are both good and very good looking.
If YUZ GIZ get a chance check it out.
Ran trains last nite all ran great.
Have a good one?

Well, I've had an interesting morning. The youngest got his head caught in the slats of a rocking chair while I was out dropping off the daughter at the mall. Had to cut him out. Then, while he was allegedly taking a nap...well, let's just say he's still got some work to do with his potty-training and I'm giving the carpet cleaning machine a real workout - all this and the bride has invited people over for dinner....

Good afternoon,

Not much happening here. Worked in the greenhouse a little this morning. Now have 72 geraniums potted. Started the shelf layout backdrop last evening. Hate that job. Starting to install some street lights in town since the crime rate looks to be up, noticed several plastic victims laying in the streets.

A good weekend to all.

Good afternoon all,

It is sunny but cold in SE Indiana with a hign near 20. I have been busy taking care of the better half as she has strep throat. A trip to the clinic and two pharmacies took up most of the morning, but she is resting now and I may do some train running. I hope everybody has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana
