MORNING GIZ,
TOO nice all weekend to be inside so spent it outside working around the house. Got up to 74 but today only mid sixties. Keep it this way for awhile so we don't have to cut grass. Speaking of which my wife made me get a new graden tractor Cub Cadet. I wanted only a 1050 but she insisted I gat the shaft drive 2544. I need to take her with me to the train shop to buy stuff? Go figure.
Have a good one got to go edge the flower gardens.
Nice PICS ROY> sure does look pretty.

I hear the Chief was concerned about how Buckeye goes fishing. I seems the Chief heard that Buckeye was suspected of the heavy duty & time efficient way of fishing with dynamite.

It took some time, but the Chief finally got himself invited on one of Buckeye's excursions.

Sure enough - once they got to Buckeye's secret fishing spot, Buckeye pulled out a stick of dynamite, lit it and tossed it into the lake. Ka-boom! Fish galore!

As Buckeye manuvered to pick up his catch, the Chief starts yelling and really letting Buckeye have it about illegal use of dynamite, game rules, blah, blah, blah.

Buckeye turns to the Chief, hands him a lit stick of dynamite and says:

"You gonna talk or are you gonna fish?"

Regards, Roy

Steve,
For the past five years we have been fishing at Totomenai Lodge, Hawk Junction, Ontario. Hawk Jct. is a station on the Algoma Central just east of Wawa, On. Totomenai is on Whitefish Lake. We have caught Walleye, Pike, Smallmouth and Trout from the lake.

We leave Ohio and head to the Soo, visit the duty free store, cross the border and follow the shoreline of Lake Superior north. The scenery along the lake is outstanding, but I have yet to see a big wind make the waves that I have seen in photos.

Roy, the Chief still didn't catch anything.

Now back to WV for some more learning.

It was a beautiful day here today, so much so I decided to give the pick up it's spring washing. The pollen is so heavy today that by the time I finished the tires and put the hose away the body already had a yellow-green haze. When I did move it into the garage the drive was steaked in yellow. Even without allergies my eyes feel gritty and I have the occasional sneeze to clear the pollen out.

I was hoping the be able to open the windows in the train room this evening to let the smoke out when I ran but thought better, I just finished doing some dusting this past weekend.

For those that have the Lionel 0-8-0 I found a feature that I didn't see mentioned anywhere, the smoke box door opens. One problem, your not looking at a tube sheet ,all you see is the front of the smoke unit and some wires. I guess if you're a real rivit counter you could dummy up something to slide in there.

Tom,

Last year was the first time Karen came to the annual NHRA day at work. We were walking around so Karen could get a hat autographed by the drivers. We went up to Tony's hauler and I handed Tony the hat and sharpie. Karen asked "Who's that?" I told Tony Schumacher. Her response was "No its not." I guess she didn't recognize him. lol

Greg - I was at a trade show a few years back and Larry Dixon was there with his rail. I first saw the car and his poster. So I pick it up and then Larry came over behind be and ask if I wanted it signed. You could have knot me over. I didn't expect to see Larry there. I must have talk to him for 20 minutes. What a great guy.

Mowed yard, weedeated, trimmed trees and planted garden. Finally at 3:30 I got to go to the pond. Got a new pond fishing partner. His name is Skeet. He lives with his Grandmother and Grandfather in a double wide just above the pond. I caught two small bass and missed 4. He missed three and caught this:
. HUMMM About 7 lbs [the fish not Skeet].

Good Morning all,

NE Ohio has another Blue Clear Sky Morning with temp at 42 and goning into the high 50 near the lake and 60’s inland. They say we will be this way all week. It must be Spring.

Our E-mail post office is having problems. Sometimes we receive e-mails but as soon as I send one or respond to one, it has an error. My sister lives about 1 ½ miles from me and also has SBC DSL and has the same problem.

Chief – nice fish

History Channel International will have the ‘History of Toy Trains’ – Trains Unlimited
this Wed 4-13-05 at 5:00am and again at 11:00pm EST. This includes Lionel up to the time that Gary was CEO.

Back up and ready to go. Probably to "Miss Edna's" at 1 PM [when she opens on week days, Tues. thru Fri.]. Went Saturday and saw all of the gang at one time. Jimbo, I will check on your item. Tom has some of the best scenes from the 50's/60's. Tom, email is working great now. Doug, if you ever get to Roanoke VA, be sure to see the O. Winston Link Museum. Outstanding. Later

Sunny and 70's here today. It is the perfect time of year in N. Texas. It also does not last long, so we have to enjoy it real fast.

Have a great day all!

Busy morning so far, out early visiting folks in the hospitals. Trying to catch up on work in the office. Bad storm last night - a lot of those lately! At least no flooding or roads washed out this time. Good day to all!

Just came home from work, should've been raining by now, if you can believe a weather report, but it was a sunny morning and just starting to cloud up. I'm hesitant to start any outdoor work knowing that'll bring on the rain.

Hmmm, [:-,] might be a good afternoon to run trains.

Well I just might have to break down and get a BEEP. TAS is supposed to demo a BEEP, at York, equipped with TMCC, sounds and electrocouplers. Now if K-Line could do the same with their Plymouth switcher, especially the Miller Beer set. [(-D] [*^_^*] [;)]

Hello All: Hope every one is healthy, happy, & wealthy. Roy: the floral pics are gorgeous, Laz: They ran that singing bird on a local station this morning( I think he needs more bull pen work). Chief: Nice fish, how come you didn't post what you caught?(run out of film?). Buckeye: where you are going in Northern Ontario is absolutley outstanding. Talk about getting back to nature, between th wildlife, the fish almost jump into the boat, I hope the night sky is clear the northern lights will be spectacular up there. That is about 16 hours driving from my place(I am 30 minutes from Niagara Falls) . You spend a week in that neck of the country and you will see how great our Creator is. Kind Regards to All Steve

I'm back from my self improvement classes in WV. Huntington, WV is home to a big CSX shop. All sorts of engines are sitting about waiting for repairs. The coal trains from the mountains pass through the center of the city on their trip north to Detroit, Cleveland and Chicago.

Planning Comm. tonight....long days.

Doug, will want to know all about the BEEPS and TMCC.

Laz,
I am a member of our City Planning Commission and every Wednesday we have our meetings. Sometimes there are small and big projects. Sometimes interesting and sometimes boring. Applications from resturants that feature grits are automatically denied because we don't want the rif raf from NC in town. [:D][:D]

Chief, that is a great fish. Is it real or is it the rubber fi***hat is passed around down south for photo opportunities to make everyone think the fishing is supurb in the Suth. (We think they do the same thing in Canada.)
