HI GIZ,
Well got to 23 today, Cold though. Tomorrow evening to get snow flurries? We'll see.
Put most of my engines on Legacy. Lots o time switching them over to new numbers and giving em names, oh well there in now. I recorded them on paper to so not to loose all the numbers in case anything happens to handheld. Ran a lashup with two SD90s, NS and CSX. Boy did they fight going down the tracks. Really pushing and pulling, don't know what I did wrong but they didn't get along, NO JOKE. Wonder if it was something in the Legacy?
BRUTUS, hope that stone isn't to big. Hope all goes wellwith you.

Simple to fix that problem seperate the CSX and The NS they never get along ,southern always thinks he boss even thou he isn't. Paint that NS shell to a good name like NYC or PRR and the 2 will run like there matched for each other.

Laz,
Was wondering if once engines are entered into Legacy they're settings return to default. If so I'm assuming Stall would be reset to default. This might make lashups fight one another if Stall speed hasn't been readjusted. Just guessing here.

Bet my CN SD40 and your NS SD90 get along just fine

Jason-You do shift work also? There are a few of us here that work shift. You can tell by some of the late night / early morning posts.
Fife- Our dog did the same, looked at me like at you kidding?
Jim-Hope everything comes out OK with a minimum of pain.
JohnW- This could be the beginning of some special times together
Buckeye- Don's picture looks like the view from Kentucky to Southern Ohio!
I worked on the garage roof a little today. It was 8F when I got up so I really didn't get started till about 11:30. Got a couple panels on. Moving OK but not too fast.
I started night shift so won't be doing much for a couple of days, the weather is not going to be too good for the work anyway. My neighbors think I'm crazy working in this weather.
All take care and may God bless
Jim

ZW still sitting on desk hasn't been sent yet lol
Morning to All,
A fresh pot was on when I got here thanks RT. Not quite so cold this AM. It is 18 as compared to 11 yesterday AM.
Car is still no back from the mechanic... Head gasket has been replaced, heads redone, also replaced radiator, which they could not get to pressurize after other repairs. Now it is still overheating, they are checking relays and circuits for a short in the cooling system that is not kicking in the fan. I am getting a big headache just thinking about the bill. Yesterday we went and drove some Toyotas, the Prius and the Camry Hybrid. Two very different but nice vehicles with not much difference in price, Camry lists at only $2k more. Like the idea of 40 mpg or better with gas prices predicted to be $4 per gallon. Salesman hinted that there was more wiggle room in the Camry price and might be able to get it down to close the same price as Prius. Really hate to dive into a new car payment but hate throwing good money down a sink hole, which is the feeling I am getting with the Subaru.
Will check in later.

BRUCE, Tried that didn't work maybe try again tonite?
All B good.

So many roads, so little time.
Morning all. Home from work roads got nasty quick on the way home.. Only going to get 1"-3"of the white stuff at least that is what they say.Busy night at work had 2 frozen fire lines. Had to help the pipefitters lift new sections of pipe in place. But that is what they(company) get for trying to save money turning off the heat on long weekends. Well the kids will be up any minuit now so I better get breakfast started. Have a great day everyone.
Jim - I work 3rd shift 10:30pm-6:30am, although I could get bumped any time. I only have 2 people under me in the Millwright gang. When I first got hired I was getting bumped from shift to shift weekly. At least now I dont seem to be changing shifts that much all the older guys that took the buy out have left and all that are left are pretty much set in there ways.
Chief -Hope you feel better soon. Time for some YANKEE chicken soup.
Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is 32 degrees. Cloudy, with snow showers on the way today. Going up to 36.
Today, I have a couple of errands to run and then, I will relax in the train room. I got my project done yesterday. Came out good. Looks like gas came down in this area. $2.87 a gallon at the local pump. I don't think it will stay there.
Dining car is here and ready for breakfast. All aboard.
Y'all have a great Tuesday.
Chuck
Mornin' boys. Presently 30 & clear in the Mid-Atlantic region;BUT awaiting some type of "wintery mix" this afternoon...just in time for me to go to work in
88 - What about the Suesquehanna River? ...or maybe Sue Falls? ...WAIT-WAIT, howzabout the Sue-ez Canal? (and all that on one cup of coffee....)
Good morning all,
It is snowy in SE Indiana with temps in the high 20s / low 30s. Roads were clear on the way in, but still drove without the cruise control. Had my two friends, Bob and Tom, to keep me company. Lucas was able to schedule his work so he could make all the show practices. Work will be busy today. It was just the usual fare on the dining car this morning. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Brent - Just pick a name that makes the wife happy...it will pay off in the end.
My town is Jacksonville, after my son Jackson (Jack). That seems pretty safe.
On a different note, I pick up the DCS today!
Later,Wes
fifedog wrote:Wes ...but the Remodeleveryroomindahouse River just doesn't sing...
That is true, but the wife probably would after the work was done...unfortunately, that river might get smaller due to lack of funds.
Morning All, good coffee today.
-2 here, going up to 27.
Mitch we bought a Prius for the wife 2 months ago. She love's it. It does really well in the snow, I was surprised. It's a little tight for me, but once I'm in it, it is OK, but I kept the Explorer for me. We didn't buy it for being "green', but for the mileage.

Morning all!
30's headed to low 40's today. Cloudy and might drizzle some of that "wintery mix" stuff?
Busy day today.
Have a great day all!
Regards, Roy
Morning all. Sufix on my name gives US Airways a fit. Had to get on the phone this AM. No BIG seats to Phoenix but got it to Spokane. Nice supervisor re-routed my return ticket for free. Now going from Phoenix to Charlotte and then RDU. Cut over an hour of flying time out. Now I do NOT have to fly into Yankeeland Reagan. Do not like that airport. Old and not designed to handle all the traffic and 9-11 security.
Mitch, we are converting over from Nissan and Chevy to Toyato. Wife just got 08 4Runner. She is getting Camary or Prius this spring and I am taking 4Runner. We love Toyato. Still keeping my old Silverado.
Jason, Yankee Chicken Soup!!!!!! How about Southern GRITS?,
Was sunny a few minutes ago. Now clouding up. Weather Alert went off and said might get some mix and bridges freezing over. I'll fly to ID and find the weather better there than here.
Later.
OH forgot, BRENT, Legacy Legacy Legacy, dare you.
Good Morning,
30ish/lite snow about two inches. nothing CLOSED around here, business as usual. No plans yet just wanted to say good morning.......Sir James
cnw1995 - Mornin' Dougaroo.
88 - Howzabout Swollen Ankle Creek?
John, Regarding our club and the future of the building. It is looking REAL good. As part of the museum that is on site, our building has been declared a historical landmark. So we are pretty safe. As a matter of fact the County has paid for a new roof that has already been put on. As part of the significance of the site, public benefit is one of the factors considered. Hence, the Kids Club.
I made mention of such a thing last fall as a result of visiting Doug (dagrumps) club in San Diego. And I ended up with the responsibility to get it going. So I will be going to down there this Saturday, to see how much of there activity we can clone. We already have a "club house" reserved to do some craft type stuff, and running layouts on the floor with the kids. Then we will take them inside to use the "big" layout. Should be fun.
As far as my layout goes, needed to make space underneath to continue with wiring. So rather than keep moving stuff around, did get some shelves put up. Worked half day yesterday, and then nephew came over with his family. (Had a real nice visit.) Control Panel (work in process) It is actually a printer stand, and the drawers slide out. It is on casters and rolls under that layout. Next to the bar. The bottom shelf has the 2 ZW's, one new and one PW. Notice the ckt bkr box Chief? Your design. Chris made one and I made one. The middle drawer has the transformers for the G Scale trains located the elevated tracks. And finally, the top shelf is the control panel. Lots 'n lots of work goin on here. All the wires come up through the paper feed hole in the shelf, (remember printer stand), then distributed in side the bottomless box. The box is hinged for accessability.
So that's all I have, hope everyone has a great day!!
Don
