CSXect - I too fight the weight issue, seems like I always have. But your doing something about it!! And the best thing is when people help encourge. It is a tough and lonely battle, and sometimes you get into slumps, that noone is noticing, and does it matter. It DOES, and usually the reason people don't comment is due to their own conscience about themselves. What got me at the computer show, was the age of the people. They were all young! And from their appearance was obvious they had just given up. Didn't care what they looked like. Sad !!!
Keep up the good work! And remember it WILL take time, but you have already lost 1/2 a person!!

I have health issues due to being overweight and that gives me more reason to stick to the the diet plan. I have been on many diets but this optifast is the only one that has worked for me so far the big challenge is when they put me back on food
Odd sign in Columbus Ohio at the North end of Parsons Ave.

Chief, instead of considering Yankees as enemies, just think of them as annoying relatives. Then you don't have to love them so much.

Good idea!!!!!
Good Afternoon everyone. Had a great morning at Church, just about ready to head back for evening services. Also, wanted to share a special moment. Yesterday, my 5 year old woke up before 4am and climbed into bed between my wife and I. Laid on side behind me playing with my hair and snuggled up next to me. Just one of those real special moments that makes it all worth while.
Watched "Transformers" on the screen last night....pretty good movie. Neat effects.
Anyway, hope everyone has a great week ahead.
God Bless,
Dennis

CSXect....Do you like grits? Do you like sweet tea? Is CSX blue your favorite color?
Buckeye Jim....I didn't just fall off the turnip truck. I know better than to say "bomb" on board a airliner going 500 mph at 35,000 feet. No I said, "This one is for Uncle Sherman! This one is for Uncle Grant! This one is for Uncle Sheridan!"
Don... Thanks for keeping things under control.
Kurt...Have you ever been to the Train Barn over by Kalamazoo?
fifedog....Would you like to ride shotgun the next time I go flying over NC?
Sir James...The necessary is no more.
Chief...No perfect attendance pin for you this year!!! I know the truth about you cutting out last week. BTW, I need the address of your pastor. He owes me $50 for writing his "special" sermon this morning.
Chuck...WE just love the Chief!!!
edw...What do you mean annoying? I guess we need to crank it up another notch.
Dennis....Why are you such a Southern Gentleman and behave so properly and the not like the Chief?
Back to work tomorrow. It has been a awful weekend since I had to spend time in that warm Florida sun. How do they handle fishing all year long for huge bass? Golf must be a real pain since you can play all the time. No, I think I will stay in Buckeyeland where we have those beautiful gray skies and bone chilling temperatures.

I had some homemade grits with cheese in them and also had some instant grits they were ok but I would rather have a big stack of pancakes with over ripe bannas in the batter with OHIO made maple syrup Don't like coffe or tea gotta have my cola, rootbeer and flavored water. I like CSX Blue, yellow and gray but not Maize and Blue.
Evening all,
Buckeye-Great of you to remember all our great uncles from the past!
CSXect-Keep up the good work on the weight loss. Lots of folks are ready to encourage and support you here.
Dennis-I think kid's unconditional love is a reminder of how we are to love, wether it is our spouse, co-workers or those on the other side of the Mason Dixon line.
Don-I see so many young kids with weight problems and it is being called an epidemic. Things I've read said it is a combination of, lack of excercise, two parent working and being too busy to prepare meals so it is fast food for supper, and electronic entertainment.
At work and assignments passed out. Got home this morning after early church and got to bed about 10 a.m. Bride asked what I'd like for supper. Offhandedly I said, fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes with cherry pie for dessert. When I woke up at 5 p.m. I smelled supper. The bride delivered!!!! I wonder what she is up to??????
Got lots of reading and assignments for class. Right back into it. I hope to work on the roof Monday after a nap. We'll see.
May God bless
Jim

Must... Erase... Mental... Picture...
Played games with son for a while, but never got to the basement as wife brought daughter home sick. So, we just chilled and watched Mr. Bean videos. Oh well, good family time beats good train time.
Hmmm, where is Sir James? We have Ben and Jerry's PHISH Icecream. Watching New Yankee Workshop from DVR, he's making a router station. Looks like a great project, I think.
RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

My aim was really good.

Evening all! Back from my trip to Mesa. AZ, where I came down ill for the latter part of the week. Made it through my meetings and then somehow made it home. Spent all day Sat and most of today in bed recovering or trying to recover. Watched C'Boys lose due to their affinity to cause a penalty at the most inappropriate moment. Giants landed two TDs based on C'Boys penalties. Way to go. As they say - maybe next year. Congrats to the Giants fans.
Buckeye - you have to work your way into grits. And I do not believe you about bombing Rosyville - the grits would have never made it through the aircraft's plumbing. I assume you do not want to really admit what happened to you when you flushed the airplane's toilet
Hope all are doing well - back to bed...
Regards, Roy

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....
It is a cold 28 degrees. A few snow flurries. Going up to only 32 today, with a little more snow.
Today is a busy day. I have a few errands to run and some phone calling to do. All business. No time for trains today. Glad I got a few hours of train running yesterday. Nothing much new.
Dining car is here and it's time for breakfast. Later.
Y'all have a great Monday.

Grayson: Uh OH! You may have just been targeted...Question is, will the Chief be able to pick YOU out of all those other NUTS on your property?
Sir James: Saw MI thread and posted. Thanks for the heads up. Too bad on the GP. Nice engine! Troy Show??? Planning on the Worlds Greatest Hobby Show; February in Novi.
I am getting used to being around the trains out here in AZ. Will have to run trains alot to keep withdrawl to a minimum. I can understand why Perry modeled what he did. Nice part of the country.

Good morning all,
It is a snowy day in SE Indiana with temps in the 20s. Spent most of Saturday sweeping and dusting the house. It needed a good cleaning. Wife and I saw "The Bucket List" Saturday afternoon. Good acting, but very depressing theme. As one of the characters put it, "Somewhere, some lucky guy is having a heart attack." Spend most of Sunday re-wiring an old lamp which had been at my grandparent's house. It is interesting the craftsmenship that went into some of the older pieces of floor lamps. It uses an a "Mogul" sized light bulb which will use 300 watts of power. It not only lights the room, it heats it as well! The wife was using the computer so I watched the first of the shows that Ken Burns did on "The War" for PBS a few months ago. It is pretty good. I will have to catch up on the posts later. I had some wheat muffins on the dining car this morning. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
