Ahoy Cap'n Tom!
Love those photos from Expo Rail - keep 'em comin'!
I see there's a new face 'round here - - DD1 - to our humble 'n largely quiet thread on the Classic Trains (General Discussion) forum. Wouldn't happen to be a Navy man, wudja?? <grin>
Enjoyed your input and as Tom has mentioned, I think you may find a more receptive bunch over at the Tavern by the Tracks called "Our" Place. In fact I KNOW you will.
Anyway, I'm a huge New York Central fan and can recall all kinds of trips "up river" aboard those fine, fine passenger trains of yesteryear. Lots of info "floating" around at Tom's bar along with some vivid recollections from many of the guys. Hope to see ya there!
Until the next time!
Lars
G'day!

Now that this lonely outpost has turned into a photo posting site - here's one from today's festivities over at the bar - the 27th month anniversary of the best cyber bar in the ether!
A fine day over at the bar for our 27th Month Anniversary! Thanx Lars for the support at both places.

The "John Molson" is an operating-replica of a late 1840's locomotive. The original was built in 1849 by Kinmonds, Hutton, and Steel of Dundee, Scotland, and ran on the Champlain and St Lawrence Railroad.

Good afternoon Tom and all present. Drinks are on me. I'll have the usual. I just received some links from Chile. It is quiet long, but I know you will enjoy it. Chileans seem to be as passionate about trains as we are. The link is of the Pablo Neuruda railroad museum in Temuco, Chile. Most of it is in Spanish, but the pictures are well worth it. Crank up the sound. P.S. How do I post pictures in these messages?
