Good evening again guys, yup we still are beating the tired horse here, I refuse to belive that ti's dead yet Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg] I see that bewteen the bookends and the good captain that the NYC free for all has spilled over to here as well,no problem with that. Who knows perhaps we can hook the odd new member still with this thread it still gets quite a few looks. I haven't got any NYC pictures I do however have some TH&B ones. Since the TH&B was jointly owned by both the CPR and the NYC and it's affilites the MCRR and the CASO i figure that these pics would be appropriate.

Two shots opf TH&B consol, restored and stuffed and mounted ant Westfield Pioneer villiage in Ontario.

enjoy  Rob.

Good evening guys, I figured that I would give this thread another kick. Lars I'm glad you liked those old TH&B consols, to bad she dosen't run any more but at least they have given her a good cosmetic restoration Thumbs Up [tup]

here's a couple shots that might hit your nostalgia bone. A couple, of shots of the former NYC facilities in St Thomas Ontario.

The old Michigan Central Depot, now a historic land mark being converted ( internally to condos and boutiques )

The Michigan Central shop building ( now home to the Elgin County RR Musuem ) with preserved TH&B NW2 51 in front.

Another view of the shops with ex CP RS23's parked in front.

Ahoy everyone!

It's been awhile but I'm back for a few pictures to show.

bo1838a

Starting off with this SD9.

B&O 1838 SD9, Cumberland, Maryland Feb 21, 1987, Photo by Doug Boyd, Kodachrome. I am impressed with the amount of rust on this locomotive. I think they quit taking care of the body. But a nice little start to tomorrows theme at the bar.

ble843

Now some of you may not be familiar with this railroad. The B&LE or Bessemier and Lake Erie. The Duluth Missabe and Iron Range bought this railroad and took over it's operation in the late 80's. BLE SD9 #843, Toronto, Ontario, SD9, Kodachrome by D. Whitnall Feb 1988

ble886

Another B&LE locomotive, but this time something rare. These locomotives are Alco RSD-15s. The B&LE had quite a few of these in there loco roster. They were some of the coolest locomotives this railroad had. BLE 886, Albion, PA, RSD15, April 7, 1968, Kodachrome by R. W. Richards

Good evening again gents.Indeed nice to see this thread still creeping along to page 100 Thumbs Up [tup] I see that the B&O has gradually faded out here just as at the bar,no problem ncie to see some cintinuity Thumbs Up [tup]Great to see a visit by BK from the rockies as well. Here's  few more passenger shots from an October 2002 trip on the  Agawa canyon train of te Algoma Central / CN

The "power" at Sault Ste Marie station

Shot of the canyon from the train

Crossing the Montreal river Bridge

Shot of the river and the Agawa canyon's scenery from the train.

Sorry for the fuzziness of the pictures the weather was sleety and shot from inside the moving train.

I see that Lars has been in with a couple good pictures for the C&O story currently running over at the bar. Thumbs Up [tup] I have no C&O pictures so the closest that I can contribute visually will be the following.

A CSX intermodal heading towards Buffalo on their former Conrail lines.

Holla Tom and crew.

I see some nice pictures that have been dropped off. Now it's my turn.

milw0001

milw0001

Thought I would start it off with a Milwaukee road FP45. But as you may notice, the one is in the freight paint scheme. (orange and black) There are about 4 or 5 different schemes this was in. The UP 1955 scheme. The Hiawatha scheme, the freight scheme, the commuter rail scheme and so on. A very nice looking locomotive.

Bensenville, IL, April 1969

bo1830

And one to go along with the theme of the day over at the bar.

F45's and F units and E units from James and some equally appealing drunheads and passenger pics from her captain Thumbs Up [tup] In keeping with the passenger motif , here's a cross example of trains through CN's Bayview junction in Burlington Ontario.
