Good evening again guys, yup we still are beating the tired horse here, I refuse to belive that ti's dead yet I see that bewteen the bookends and the good captain that the NYC free for all has spilled over to here as well,no problem with that. Who knows perhaps we can hook the odd new member still with this thread it still gets quite a few looks. I haven't got any NYC pictures I do however have some TH&B ones. Since the TH&B was jointly owned by both the CPR and the NYC and it's affilites the MCRR and the CASO i figure that these pics would be appropriate.
Two shots opf TH&B consol, restored and stuffed and mounted ant Westfield Pioneer villiage in Ontario.
enjoy Rob.
Ahoy Cap'n Tom!
Beauty way to go, Rob! Great looking pix.

I see the NYC has continued quite well over at the watering hole!
One more from me, then it's R 'n R for the weekend!
A new week and a new "theme" begins tomorrow over at the bar . . .

Good evening guys, I figured that I would give this thread another kick. Lars I'm glad you liked those old TH&B consols, to bad she dosen't run any more but at least they have given her a good cosmetic restoration
here's a couple shots that might hit your nostalgia bone. A couple, of shots of the former NYC facilities in St Thomas Ontario.
The old Michigan Central Depot, now a historic land mark being converted ( internally to condos and boutiques )
The Michigan Central shop building ( now home to the Elgin County RR Musuem ) with preserved TH&B NW2 51 in front.
Another view of the shops with ex CP RS23's parked in front.
Rob
Okay Rob, you're back and not about to let this lonely outpost "die," eh
Nice shots! Just make sure the guys at the bar get to see 'em (again)!

BK in Alberta, Canada's beautiful high mountain country!
Really great to have you aboard once again, BK!
Some DRUMHEADS of the B&O
Ok, time for a switch-er-oooo! Check this out!
Nice change of pace from Lars!
Something from a VIA Rail trip to Montreal from Halifax a few ago . . .
Between Moncton and Sackville, NB
Love those shots taken from the rear of a train!
Book cover for the day!
Ahoy everyone!
It's been awhile but I'm back for a few pictures to show.
Starting off with this SD9.
B&O 1838 SD9, Cumberland, Maryland Feb 21, 1987, Photo by Doug Boyd, Kodachrome. I am impressed with the amount of rust on this locomotive. I think they quit taking care of the body. But a nice little start to tomorrows theme at the bar.
Now some of you may not be familiar with this railroad. The B&LE or Bessemier and Lake Erie. The Duluth Missabe and Iron Range bought this railroad and took over it's operation in the late 80's. BLE SD9 #843, Toronto, Ontario, SD9, Kodachrome by D. Whitnall Feb 1988
Another B&LE locomotive, but this time something rare. These locomotives are Alco RSD-15s. The B&LE had quite a few of these in there loco roster. They were some of the coolest locomotives this railroad had. BLE 886, Albion, PA, RSD15, April 7, 1968, Kodachrome by R. W. Richards
Happy railroading
James
Good evening again gents.Indeed nice to see this thread still creeping along to page 100 I see that the B&O has gradually faded out here just as at the bar,no problem ncie to see some cintinuity Great to see a visit by BK from the rockies as well. Here's few more passenger shots from an October 2002 trip on the Agawa canyon train of te Algoma Central / CN
The "power" at Sault Ste Marie station
Shot of the canyon from the train
Crossing the Montreal river Bridge
Shot of the river and the Agawa canyon's scenery from the train.
Sorry for the fuzziness of the pictures the weather was sleety and shot from inside the moving train.
Let me drop off my last for a few days . . . "theme" at the bar is C&O!
I see that Lars has been in with a couple good pictures for the C&O story currently running over at the bar. I have no C&O pictures so the closest that I can contribute visually will be the following.
A CSX intermodal heading towards Buffalo on their former Conrail lines.
Holla Tom and crew.
I see some nice pictures that have been dropped off. Now it's my turn.
Thought I would start it off with a Milwaukee road FP45. But as you may notice, the one is in the freight paint scheme. (orange and black) There are about 4 or 5 different schemes this was in. The UP 1955 scheme. The Hiawatha scheme, the freight scheme, the commuter rail scheme and so on. A very nice looking locomotive.
Bensenville, IL, April 1969
And one to go along with the theme of the day over at the bar.
B&O 1830 SD9, Cumberland, Maryland, March 1, 1986, Photo by Doug Boyd, Kodachrome
James - Rob 'n Lars: You guys are determined to keep this Thread up 'n running!
Sooooo, let's see - yesterday at the bar we had C&O for the theme. Check this out . . .
Just one for the road . . .
From my 2006 Alaskan trip . . . taken from the northbound ARR Denali Star of the passing southbound same named train . . .
Interesting markings on the lower right, eh
G-day everyone!
Tom, I won't let this thread go without a fight!!
So here we go, another round of pics!!
Now here are some fine looking Santa Fe F-units.
ATSF 210C Somerville, Texas, July 4, 1971, Kodachrome by John Gwinn
How about a nice looking Baltimore & Ohio train. A nice looking EMD E-unit leads this train around a corner. There are many more pictures over at the bar!
B&O 1463, Rodemer, on the "Metropolitan", July 1969
Happy Railroading
Howdy again folks. Yup like James said there still is some life in this old girl yet Nice to see some continuing support from the familiar faces around here. F45's and F units and E units from James and some equally appealing drunheads and passenger pics from her captain In keeping with the passenger motif , here's a cross example of trains through CN's Bayview junction in Burlington Ontario.
VIA's train 94 the rainbow to Niagara westbound towards Hamilton
Go transit's Hamilton -Toronto commuter heading eastbound to Toronto.
VIA train 83 Sarnia bound passing through Bayview lead by the Home Hardware F40
G-day again gents. Well keeping in step with yesterdays pictures, here's a few freight trains through Bayview junction.
Finally just a scenery shot of Bayview jct.
G-day again folks, here's another short phot spread from bayview.
What's this thing
The CPR portion of the Junction. A train on CP's hamilton jct downbound towards bayview
G-day all!
Thought I would drop by with some pictures! Some good looking pictures out there. Keep um coming!
Got to have the Milwaukee road moment in here somewhere! Milwaukee Road Little Joe E79 sits with another Little Joe and a couple of GPs with there train.
Deer Lodge, Montana, August 14, 1967, Kodachrome photo by Karl C. Henkels
The lets get a little bit of Rock Island power in there. A U25B leads a GP40 through Houston, Texas. Rock Island 217, Feb 1975, Houston, TX
And a Southern GP30 high nose. These locomotives had a nice design to them, but must have been a pain for the crew.
SOUTHERN 2582, Apr 29, 1978, Birmingham, ALA, Kodachrome by Michael Reid
The return of the Larsman . . . just dropped off my thoughts over at the bar and took note that James 'n Rob are "at it again" in keeping this thread up 'n runnin' . . .
So, here's one from me . . .
No takers I see . . . so, here's one more!
