Good evening all,
Does anybody in this world ever do ANYTHING right? Financial institutions can take the simplest task and totally SNAFU it beyond belief. I have been asking somebody who is supposed to walk with me in the Mini to get some info to me so I can pick up their bibs and other stuff on Thursday for the past TWO weeks to get the data to me, and they still have NOT done it. Wife wonders why I am a little irritated??????? I wonder why I get up in the morning any more...... I hope everyone has a good day. Maybe one day I will have one as well, but I do not look for one soon......
Keep on training,
Mike C. from Indiana
Afternoon all!Very cloudy and some drizzle/rain showers on and off all day. 74 at the moment. Storms coming from the west/Ft Worth. Thunder in the distance.Been working on cleaning out/off my desk most of the day. I looked through and tossed a couple thousand old business cards from hundreds of companies I used to work/interface with - and most if not all of them are long gone. Interesting to see all the cards from folks/businesses in UK, Spain, Germany, France, Columbia, Argentina, Venezuela, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, etc., and all over the US. Closed a couple of projects like creating a spread sheet for my house electrical panel, which was a bunch of scribbled notes on a piece of paper. All the panel shows (1977) is AC comp, Oven, Stove, Dryer, Lights (20 circuits that handle lights, outlets, a/c air handlers, pool controller, etc., for the entire house/rooms - & no other label other than "Lights"), & Pool pump. Stapled it by the breaker panel.
Recall my comment yesterday - stopped at City Hall secretary's off and noted to them the council members do not answer their email. Of course I got a call from my councilman today - big cock and bull story about why he did not respond to my mail of last week - wife and I voted to oust him. Throw the bums out!
Regards, Roy

Mornin' boys. Chance of in the Potomac Highlands. Spent yesterday at work, mainly cleaning up at the railyard. Looking to transition from my desk to an I-12 caboose. We'll see. Youngest princess' boyfriend started mudding the drywall, as daughter "helped". When they came upstairs, the question arose if they actually got any compound on the wall...
Banks - Look forward to the shake.
80 and sunny. Things growing and growing. Lots of little tomatoes.
MRI yesterday. Back and leg better. Will see what Dr. says about calcium buildup between the lower two vertebra that is pinching nerves. Makes hip hurt and toes numb. Good thing. Hips in excellent shape for my age.
Charles Ro, would not give them air in a jug [my Dad's old saying]. Shysters. Hateful attidude.
Have a good one. [new Pot tonight].
Busy day at work. I mowed, edged, trimmed and used the leaf blower on the yard tonight. May be only dry night this week. Good news. Telephone company replaced the pole that was leaning over in the alley. I hope everyone has a good day.
Rob, Just for you, stranger,,,. Charles Ro now shows that Tier 4 set for delevery in June!!! Ha ha ha. Hope I live long enough to see it! WOW!
Afternoon all!
Sunny, humid, 82. Rain predicted for the rest of the week. We got over 4" last week.
Busy day today. Voted in city council election (vote out the incumbents!), visited city council offices to complain our elected officials do not respond to their emails (lotsa complaints about this on the NEXTDOOR App) and they do not provide phone #s, and then to streets department (different building) to show them photos I took of the vegetation view obstructed exit from our neighborhood onto a street where idiots drive 50-60 mph in a 35 (3 lanes each way) - deadly. Filed electronic tax assessment formal protest online. Multiple calls to the county tax office as their web site was acting up During the process.
Hope Ray is OK?
Morning. Chilly and cloudy. 60 degrees. Warmer tomorrow and rest of the week.
Have a good one.
Aloha. Dark and rainy this morning - hard enough for me to get on the L at Merchandise Mart stop for the mile run up near campus. Like Sir James said, we missed the big snow - only 3 inches or so and none of it stuck on the roads. I was glad as I had to given an invocation at a big fundraiser on Sat. night and was not enthused by having to slog through snow - though it was sure pretty to see it snowing hard against all the greenery of the golf course through the large windows at this country club. I thought that game was well played, Mike C. I watched it also. Nothing too exciting planned for the day besides work!

Watched Man U and Chelsea play to a 1-1 tie on Telemundo. Did very little else. Weather was cool today. I hope everyone has a good day.
Hello there, Warm and windy yesterday, cool and rainy today, frost predicted tonight. Mass this morning followed by breakfast, a nap and lunch. A baby shower/family reunion this PM followed by a visit with Mom. Now working on homemade pitza then bed.
Yesterday was the postponed Test & Tune at the drags. Grandson's got a huge learning curve. Last year all he had to do was punch the throttle. Now he's got to learn to use the clutch to keep from bogging the engine or wheelieing. It's amazing to me how many just dump the clutch. To much time wasted spinning or having to back of to keep control.
Also learned we need to get at least a half second off our time to be competitive. Gotta check the rules. Changes were made. Last year the only mod's allowed were pipe. This year more aftermarket parts allowed. More $$$$$ . Still no porting.
Test & tune at the hill yesterday too. Son went and made a few passes to get the rust out. We need to go up this week and make a couple of repairs. 1st Hillclinb and Drag are both next weekend.
Fife......shootn t shake your hand next Sat AM
Prayers for those in need

Afternoon gang!
81, sunny right now - sorry DougM - but started out cool and cloudy, breezy.
Spent part of the afternoon at a neighbors house for a bday gathering. BBQ wings, tenders, sausages, and beers. Back home to tidy up for kids coming over for Sun night dinner. Watching Talledega right now.
94 and sunny. Had Rec Day parade and etc. yesterday.
Sunday School this AM. Resting now.
Full sun this morning at 40 degrees.
We got rain overnight but none of the snow that the dooms day forecaster's talked about all last week. A birthday party for youngest grandson (14) yesterday had to be indoors as it was cool and windy.

Morning, Not much action here these days.
We got missed by the big snow. Just went to the north a bit. Sure DougM got hit.
Sunday is sunny heading to 56 today, then rain the rest of the week.
Got to go to a cheer leading thing for grand-daughter this morning at Plainfield south high school that her mom got her in. Just another way to drain the parents and grand-parents of cash if you ask me. But it is what it is. So as long as we are in Plainfield maybe I will drive into town and visit with my sister? Or swing by Jeff's to say hi.
Installed a new shower-head yesterday in the tub and cleaned the whirlpool jets and stuff then wifey did the rest of the room. Looks good. Got $61.00 worth of stuff from Menards and still have $10.00 of Menards money left over from the deck supplies I got on the 11% rebate.
Best get to it.
Mornin' boys. Rain and 48 along the Patterson Creek cut-off. Glad I mowed the lawn yesterday. Spent last night piecing back together an old Con-Cor N 6-stall roundhouse. I built it some 25 years ago, at the height of my "scale" modelling. Then I fixed a Life-Like station, a tower, and 2 water tanks. Again, couldn't work in N-gauge any more with vision getting older. However, I am holding onto some nice pieces to create a distant town on the new layout. Most of them are Bachmann houses, with lighting. Even have a couple Spectrum houses, still sealed, that I'm going to have the grandson paint and build.
Saw grandson play a good game in another loss. Got a sport jacket for daughter's wedding. Wife gave me a needed haircut to reduce wind drag in the mini. Went to Mass and watched 4 episodes of Hill Street Blues. I hope everyone has a good day.
Morning folks!
A sunny crisp cool start, 50's! nice! Same yesterday and it made it to 80.
Worked outside all day repairing the a/c evaporator condensate overflow drain. This is the one I mentioned last fall where I had water dripping out my soffit and realized the contractor 10 yrs ago during an a/c system replacement forgot to extend the overflow drain down through the soffit. Soffits are hardieboard so not easy to deal with. Lucked out and was able to cut just a 4" sq hole and stab a piece of 3/4" PVC into the existing drain and then ran/clamped it down the outside wall. Took all afternoon but it looks nice.
Today have to get a replacement motor for one of the attic power vents. Then get son to get up on roof and change it out. If we can beat the predicted rain this afternoon. Otherwise tomorrow.
Got a good news call from the city yesterday- the chief inspector reviewed the plans and our complaints and he has made the ATT contractor move the fiber boxes to between the curb and sidewalk - and located at the property lines. Better solution, so happy with that.
Kev - we had a 100' asphalt drive replaced - so that meant digging out the old, 'cultivating' the subsurface gravel & rolling, and repaving - $7500....and you are right, if a large truck goes on it (rare as we prevent it), and nothing as large as a garbage truck and certainly not a loaded concrete truck, you can see the pavement move under the weight. However, the ground is a bit 'spongy'.
DJ - great pics!!!!
Banks - place is looking good!
Fife - good luck with the N scale!
Hope Ray is better
65 and sunny. Beautiful day. Getting ready to ride in a parade.
Kev, I hear you on the lane business. We do a grading and gravel load about once every 5 years. Beats going to the gravel yard every year with pickup truck to get patching material. Long day at work, longer evening at home trying to get new phone. Spent an hour with phone firm and credit card company because everything was so messed up. Still do not have phone ordered yet. Does anybody do anything right anymore???? Work was a zoo in terms of the commute. Anytime the POTUS or VPOTUS visits, downtown traffic is a )*)&()&(*&^(^! Ugh Ugh Ugh. Watched Blue Bloods tonight. Much better than Jane the Virgin. I hope everyone has a good day.
Buckeye Riveter Kevin...The gradation of aggragates is normally a function based upon sample analysis based upon state highway specs. Each state does it a little different. When I moved to Ohio, I was confused because it was so different than Indiana.

Jim, I looked it up and CA6 is about the same size as 57 but with fines mixed in.
13 loads down right now and one more on the way later today. That one will do it. Will put me right at 15 loads. Someplace around 225 Tons. Lane is finished the load today will be a pot-hole fill pile. Bill came out to $3,499.36
Hour meter shows 11 hours on the tractor the last two days. I feel it.
The good news is Jim next door bucked up $700.00 yesterday and said he would bring me more today. I hope. Better than a sharp stick in the eye.
V8, I would not want to even ask how much it would cost to pave 1/2 mile of driveway and have itt strong enough to hold up garbage trucks and LP trucks doing pick ups and deliveries. Whatever it would be I could not afford it. What we did the last few days should be enough to hold up well for many years with just a fluff and buff now and then. The problem was the original owners of this 46 ac. never did anything to make it better. The easment started out as a cow path so the cows could get to the pasture back in the 1890s. That got it on the land deeds. The lesson learned,,,,NEVER buy land with a shared lane!!!
Good Morning from wet rainy 57F Southern Ohio
Way too wet to think of grass cutting. Bride did pick up some flowers so I'll get them planted and do some more wiring on the layout.
May God bless you and your families
Jim
Mornin' boys. Rain and 50's in the Potomac Highlands. Will go to office today. Took Wifey to Cracker Barrel yesterday, and then picked up some garden items at Lowes'.
The reno is coming along, albeit slowly. The odd, overhead surface is throwing the boy a few curves.
I've been amassing my items for sale at the Allegany train show, May 4. Pretty much offering most of my N-scale trains and track. Since most of it has been sitting in boxes for 2 decades, bench tested each engine, and applied grease to the gears. Over 20 engines for sale, over 120 cars, and it was clear to me that my vision wasn't what it once was. I hope I can make some young modellers' day.
The laser-cut wooden boxcar kit arrived at Fifedom. Now all I need is a visit from the grandson.

Hello there,
started this Tuesday evening and crashed, then again last night .
Much going on. Gutter guys replaced the gutter on house and small garage on Tuesday. Exterior done all but paint.
Tuesday Son disked 2 fields before the predicted rains came. They didn't amount to much so it was dry enough yesterday to harrow, fertilize and plant oats. I ran the cultipacker over them to settle the seed after he left for work. Today is house stuff and a dentist visit with Mom.
Phish......Daughters house looks like a Cabela's wanna be with all the mounts. At least one of everything that can be taken in PA. Including a full body mounted black bear, red fox, turkey and a couple of others I can't think of. Grandson's turkey will probably be a fan of the tail along with the beard and feet.
Roy.....bummer on the cable install, the easement and the taxes. I agree with Buckeye, the surveyor and or the title search missed or ignored the easement.
8N congas to the robotic team.
Best get to sleep, barely finished tonight. Prayers for those in need
