Walbash If I remeber correctly all Williams will run on O-31 or larger now to me if you can do larger they look more realistic going around the curves don't have so much overhang but they will run on O-31 Lionel & MTH and some of the others you may have to check radius on

Welcome to the coffee pot we talk about anything in here.

Thanks! I ordered a basic oval of fastrack, so I can run on the carpet, the radius is O36, so I guess I'm OK, and thought I was.

Good evening all,

Quiet day.  Rested a lot.  Picked up limbs in yard.   Listened to Indy car race.  Foyt team salvaged a 14th and 17th for what could have been a really bad day.  Newgarden and Ed were 5th and 10th.  Pippa had a horrible day.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mornin' boys.  Overcast and 63 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Wifey and I slipped away to WV this weekend to work on next Fifedom (or more appropriate, wifedom).  Things really stirring now.  Gotta get more ambitious with the pitchin' and throwin', scrapin' and paintin'.

Nice to see a new poster, Welcome Wabash.

Hello all, this is no doubt the wrong place to post this, but can't see how to start a new thread. What is the minimum radius for Williams 60' Madison passenger cars? Thanks guys.

You can ask anything you want here.  Someone will be glad to help.  A little slow during the summer.

Morning all.  Shower came through.  Showers has now delayed the famed bypass opening one day.  Now Tues. night/Wed. morning.

Fifey, retired means sleep late.  That is rule number 1.  Rule number 2 is to not break rule number 1.

New kitchen appliances arrive this afternoon.  Wifey stayed home from work.  Good.  Usually me stuck home to put up with delivery and install.  More showers in the forecast for this evening late.

Hope all have a great week ahead.

Chief - 30 years of gettin' up before the roosters is gonna take some time to adjust.  Besides, I like the quiet time.

Good morning all,

Went to TTOS meet yesterday in Arcadia.  Lots of things for sale.  Took a friend with me who is not really a collector but runs some trains at Christmas.  He is too thrifty, er, cheap to buy anything good.  He saw a nice  Marx lithographed tunnel with asking price of $10 but tried to beat the seller down to $5.  I think the next guy that saw it bought it so he got skunked when he came back  later.  I think he settled for some lights that Don was selling for two for a dollar.  Big spender!

Don, nice to see you and Bob at the meet.  Sorry I didn't spend more time with you but did not want to get in your way while you were selling.

On a sad note, learned yesterday that an old time train club member passed away recently from a massive heart attack.  He was a retired Delta airlines pilot.  I will miss him.  He was a good guy.

We are baby sitting my son's pet cockateal bird this week while they are on a trip to Washington. The bird is spoiled because they leave him out of his cage a lot so he drives me nuts unless I let him out once in a while.

#2 son is spending time with his  girl friend after work this week and coming home late.  We won't see much of him for a while.

later,

Ray

Aloha. Back from taking time off to visit the ocean. Waved to RT on the way. Did not get eaten by sharks. Was welcomed back by a ferocious storm Kev mentioned that delayed my morning train for 90 minutes. Catching up at work today and lots to do at home too.

Howdeeeee !

Cowboy I am cleared to drive !!!!!!! First trip behind the wheel was to the gas station. How in the #### does gas go up $1 a gal in less than a week. No

Actually went down to the museum last friday, the BetterHalf was my chauffeur. Was getting #### from everybody when I did something that I wasn't supposed to do. Ran out of gas about 2:30 so the BetterHalf took me home, after the other runners packed up my stuff and loaded it into the car. Great support group there. I slept great that nite.

Now to put up with the lght duty restriction til the end of this month. Sigh

Later all.

Good morning,

Well it is sunny and warm. Marseilles hail yesterday made the nine and ten o'clock news last night. Some was a lot bigger than what Sandra and I got. Freaked out the cat for sure! Cars were in the garages so we were good.

No plans.

Evenin' boys.  Calm before the Lightning.  'Twas Tuesday, so the grandson was here all day.  Poor little guy had a rough 24 hours.  Yesterday left some skin on the sidewalk from a bike accident.  Then fell from the girls' bunk bed ladder this morning, hurting his bum.  Adding insult to injury, his aunties wouldn't kiss his booboo.  Then he wanted to run Pop's trains.  While waiting for my 2026 to come blasting out of the tunnel, he was leaning too close to the layout edge, at which time he got popped in the right cheek by my Bicentennial GG1.  It stunned him, but how many people say they have walked away from such an encounter....  Anyway, had to make interesting conversation when his mommy drove him home.

Happy Wednesday....

Sorry for the extended leave of absence, work has been a real treat.....

House hunting is the pits, just need to find the right place and price.....I NEED a garage.....the idiot tenet from upstairs at the garage I'm renting insists on blocking me in.

Vacation starts in 2 days, I'll be taking the train to Metro Park in Jersey(don't ask, long story) and meeting the GF for a 4 day escape to the Poconos...and this may be a make or break weekend....she's been driving me nuts with off the wall stuff lately and getting worse...

Dark and rainy right now, under flood watch.  Very Humid.

Had to order upper control arms and such for the road runner, found out the steering issues were related to suspension.  Almost all new stuff front and rear now, should handle like a dream after its done.

Prayers for those in need....be back soon as possible

Morning all.  Beautiful day here.  Busy errands day and probably TV interviews.  Bypass should open.

Speaking of bypass.  Weather persons did the biggest screwup in quite a while.  Forecasted severe thunder storms by late evening.  Bypass folks packed up and went home.  Delaying opening scheduled for late last night.  NOT A CLOUD showed in the sky.

Poppa Fifey.  Bet Mom will not let him stay with you again.  Trying to toughen him up, huh.

Hope all are OK.

Aloha. Gorgeous weather here too. Much much cooler. Caught up on more recorded TV last night (Batman, Star Trek, Jonathan Strange) and the All-Star game. Almost caught up at work. I like the Menards's Chicago FD ambulance posted on the CTT Facebook page. I'll be looking for that  one.

My Lionel Airex boat-loader arrived (6-29413).  Much heavier than I imagined.  I think I'll leave the boats in their clear plastic cradles, as they would rattle loosie-goosie up and down my mountain grades.

Cleared some old wood from the cellar, and took the opportunity to show the youngest princess how to use a circular saw, and a jigsaw.  With little practice, she was able to stay on mark, which will make her more of a catch for potential young suitors, I s'pose.

anjdevil - I happen to be selling a garage, that happens to come with a cozy 3 bedroom cape cod, new driveway, pirate ship, and don't forget a complete (and published) 3 rail layout.......  As for the gf, you've already seen the elephant.  3 billion other fish in the sea.

Chief -He'll be back tomorrow.

Fife ----- if that garage was closer.....3 more years until I get my life membership.

Yeah, absolutely correct on the elephant analogy.....

Looked at another house last night......at least the garage was nice....

Tomorrow is vacation....drama free I hope....I need the time off.

Ordered a TON of front end parts for the roadrunner and most of them just showed up....I'm thinkin' my 1 last hold over vacation day may be used to do the front end and the under dash harness.....The more I know about women, the more I LOVE my roadrunner!!! lol!!!

Thanks, Fife, you're just plain awesome!

Afternoon Fellas

Been very busy with life and work. Vacation was less than and I really need to get away were no one from work can contact me... or I need a new job where I am not the only one capable of doing work, fixing issues, or who can answer a simple 'yes or no' question. It is great for job security, but for work/life balance it is far from preferred.

Sounds like FifePop's house isn't FifeGrandPup proof! LOL.

Traindaddy - congrats on the little one! Angel prayers that she continues to gain weight and grow.

Can't remember anything else I was going to mention... Sigh

Hope everyone is well.

Good evening all,

Another lazy summer day here.  I've been reading the new book about the Wright Brothers by David McCullough.  An old familiar story but a good read.  Funny, I grew up within easy driving distance of Kitty Hawk but never went there.  I do remember going fishing at Nags Head though which is in the neighborhood.

Midge at MTH sent me some more screws for my recently repaired engine and they work!  Finally everything seems all there again.

later,

Ray
