Good evening,

It's late here and I am about to go to bed.  We had a busy day as today was our youngest child's birthday; he turned five.  All three of our kids were born in July so it is a busy month for us.  I only worked half of the day so I could get home and the family and I could go bowling for his party.  Afterwards, we went out for pizza and came home for cake.  We then watched the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie and half of the second one.  Our youngest is enthralled with pirates.

Mike C and SJ - We have been getting plenty of rain too.  This is my first time living in Ohio and it seems as if June was similar to Japan's rainy season which occurred in June every year.

Good night,

Joe

Heh-hem, sounds like NOVEMBER was the busy monthDots - Sign  Demay, send that youngest to me for the summer.  I can Pirate them up propper, and teach the fine art of raiding dockside pubs all over the upper Chesapeake.  May even send them back to you with a hook or peg.

The rainy season here has not ended. 2.3" in the gauge yesterday. That makes 17+"  in three weeks. Would be nice to send some of it to CA. They can have the skeeters too. Surprise

Fighting off a summer cold I picked up fishing in the cold and rain last week up north. Ick!

Not much else.

Good evening all,

Mentally, a very exhausting day at work.  Bad news, my game was postponed due to field being too soggy.   Good news, the high school team had practice indoors tonight so I still got my soccer in.   Still lots of rain in Indiana.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Good Evening Dudes & Duettes,

Family has headed back home to Ky. My sister comes out fairly often but especially when I have some hospital time. Between my BetterHalf and my sister I am constantly getiing the skunk eye and catching heck when I deviate from any of my Dr's orders. I just can't imagine how a polygamist could handle multiple wives.  Bang Head

Debating on whether or not to go to the museum for awhile come friday. I am still forbidden from doing any lifting plus I haven't been cleared to drive yet. The BetterHalf said she would take me down and pick me up later in the day. Did discover something that nobody had mentioned, while visiting with family and friends on the 4th everyone was commenting on how well I was doing when a friend commented about ICD interference warnings. Seems his sister who required a pacemaker discovered that her Infinity with remote start required some sort of modification to prevent possible interferrence with her pacemaker. Since my wifes Nissan was due for service we checked with the service manager and he had to check with Nissan, her particular model is no problem. Better safe than sorry.

Not much happening, just a little stir-crazy.

Later all.

Hello all

Been a little while since I posted last.

Doug in SD - glad you are doing better

Lion88 - have to find something in International Red to start Matthew off right:)

Don - have been messing around w/ the fuel senders on both the Corvairs. We are 0 and 1 so far. Have fun w/ the El Camino. Does it have the feedback carb on it still? Those can be very entertaining.

We managed to sort out the low voltage wiring on the Brill car last weekend. Once the kids finish the painting they are doing maybe we can think about trying to move it under power (once the air tanks are back in that is:)

And I drove the Corvan for the first time in almost 7 years on Sunday night. A short trip, but it did fairly well. Bill said the smile on my face was something to see:)

Good evening all,

Today seemed to fly by; however, work had its slow moments.  It rained most of the afternoon and I believe rain is in the forecast for the rest of the week.  The wife made fritata for dinner and a strawberry tart for dessert.  Afterwards, we watched the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie; it was entertaining.

Fife - Close; our anniversary is in October. Wink  We truly believe our youngest will join the Navy one day.  He must have over 20 boats/pirate ships in this house.  Fortunately, he enjoys trains as well, but boats are his first choice.  And he does look pretty gnarly when he wears an eye patch.

Good night,

Joe

Mornin' boys.  Cloudy and 76 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Hope to get Fifepup out on the bay today.  He has been working some mad hours lately, and making good money to boot.  Got Ranger back from shop.  Turned out to be a fried fuel cutoff switch.  No indications that middle princess is habitually backing into objects, so definitly a weird mechanical failure.  Made good progress on the storage room yesterday, even locating an old dvd player, to replace the one that grandson and nephew wore out.

Been reading, haven't posted recently.

New granddaughter (preemie) just past the five pound mark.

Convinced myself that my back and shoulder, injured about a month ago, were fine so went to the golf course. Thank goodness it rained and we had to leave after only five holes. (Back and shoulder really not that great. Guess I'll never learn!)

Decided to consentrate more on the O27 Lionel stock instead of "spreading-the-wealth" over different brands. Exchanged out a few less used RMT and Williams items.

Thanks to all who replied to my "What, another survey!" post. Appreciate it.

Congrats to Traindaddy on the new granddaughter. Prayers for Mom and Daughter to do well. Angel

Comic-Con has opened in downtown San Diego, best reason around to stay home and avoid the craziness. Bad part is that the insanity continues thru Sunday evening. Ick!

Good evening all,

Had a rough night last night after stomach upset.  Went to pick up son returning from trip back East at the local commuter train station and got pretty sick while waiting.  He had to drive us home.  I still feel rough today and am eating very carefully.  Took my Honda in this morning to fix air conditioner and had to leave it because they had to order the part.  They gave me a rental free because I needed a car in the morning for a funeral.  Had to cancell a visit to wife with some of her friends because of me.  I thought I might have to go to the ER last night but I felt a little better this morning.  Don't know what to do about dinner tonight.  It's up for grabs.

later,

Ray

Evening all!

Nice warm day today.

Lots of chores this weekend.

Hope all are doing well.

Have a great day tomorrow all!

Dennis. You will be able to play your VCR on a new flat screen, most if not all of them have analog inputs (i.e. RCA jacks for video/yellow, red/right audio, white/left audio), but once you get used to the HD on the flat screen, the VCR tapes that looked OK on the old TV will look pretty bad.

I hooked our new HD TVs to the old TV antenna in my attic (yes old TV antennas are fine as long as they originally received the old analog NTSC VHF and UHF channels) work just fine for new HD broadcast TV channels. TV antennas are tuned for frequency of operation and it does not matter how that signal is modulated (analog NTSC vs HD).

Regards, Roy

Good evening all,

An evening spent finishing watching the last of the regular Sherlock Holmes (jeremy Brett) shows.   Still have to watch the "Hounds of Baskerville", but that is a long one.   Very quiet day at work and made progress on some issues.   I hope everyone has a good day.

Good evening,

Another busy day today as I had quite a bit of work to take care since I'll be on leave next week.  Tomorrow, at 0500, the family and I will leave for Oklahoma and spend a week with the wife's family.  It's about a 12-hour drive for us.  I'm glad I was able to get a 4-mile run in this morning as I'll probably have little time for exercise while we're out of town.  This afternoon, my older son, who has never played organized soccer, tried out and made a select soccer team (Mike C should be happy).  He has played with his friends and is quite athletic so I'm not too surprised.  I am not a soccer fan so this is new territory for me.  However, he is happy and that is all that matters.

Good night,

Joe

RT, thank you.  I am feeling better today and yesterday but my bod is sore from all that heaving. Still eating lightly though.

V8 and Roy, When I got a flat screen High Definition TV I could no longer record off of it on to my old VCR.  However, I can still play back old recordings.

After a lot of appointment juggling, I was able to attend the funeral for the wife of one of church social group members yesterday.  However, was unable to attend the reception after because I had to get the rental car turned in and pick up my Honda at the dealer.  They fixed the air conditioner but had to order the part.

Our new light rail line is making great progress and they are testing trains near us.  They are only a little over two months away from getting the line done.  Then we can ride an electric car all the way to downtown L.A. and transfer to a lot of other places too.Good news. got the missing screws for my MTH engine.  Bad news, they don't fit.

Good evening all,

Joe that is great news about your son.  I hope he enjoys the experience.  If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.   Mowed the yard today.  Took 2 two hours due to all the extra turning I have to do from the construction (in)activity.  It did stay dry today, but more rain moving in this week.  Also edged sidewalks and trimmed the fenced part of the yard.   Watched some of the Indycar practice today online at Milwaukee.  Sato was 3rd quick for AJ, which bodes well for tomorrow.   Also watched Indy 11 win a home game over a team from North Carolina.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Hello all, this is no doubt the wrong place to post this, but can't see how to start a new thread. What is the minimum radius for Williams 60' Madison passenger cars? Thanks guys.

Morning.  Hope all are OK.  Had a busy past week.  DOT had dropped the ball on a signal at the new bypass.  Had a media fight with their spokesperson.  He did not know what he was talking about.  Then he had to back track to cover his comments.  Guess you say I won.  Lots of TV interviews on the subject.  Time to rest.

Walbash If I remeber correctly all Williams will run on O-31 or larger now to me if you can do larger they look more realistic going around the curves don't have so much overhang but they will run on O-31 Lionel & MTH and some of the others you may have to check radius on

Welcome to the coffee pot we talk about anything in here.
