I'm not sure the tree above the train at right is much safer though. Lion must be getting quite a breeze.
I've long suffered in silence, but no more. When you mention that there is a lion in your photos does that really mean that it's possible for a diligent viewer actually to discern a lion, presumably a doll or figurine, not a live person eating able lion, which you have placed in the camera's view?
All the times I've seen your posts with photos I have yet even to imagine that I there's a lion in them, and so frustrated have I been that I usually don't bother to read your posts, since I feel you intend them only for those few who are in the know about your inside joke.

Yes, there *is* a LION, a stuffed LION to be sure somewhere in the frame. He has been reduced in size to about 8 pixels. Click on the photo to get a larger view. In the latest photo him is in a tree directly above the (Q) on the southbound train (the closest train) Him is about the size of the leafs and is hidding in a little cleft formed by the trees.
Look Closely, you will find the LION, and then know at least, what you are looking for.

Lion is watching from in front of the dormer of the house overlooking the subway.
If I tried really hard I sometimes could just barely discern yellow blobs somewhere in your photos, but never anything that looked like a lion. I guess my problem was I didn't know you were photshopping them, I thought you'd put the doll somewhere in a non-tresspassing place in the real world.
Welcome back Lion. In the past, people much more familiar with NYCT (I lived in the suburbs) would guess at the photo locations, and you would confirm them. Are you going to let us know the locations?
Well, it was on the Brighton Line, It may have been Cortelyou Road (since Newkirk has island platforms, and Avenue H heads south on an embankment), but it is an older picture so I do not really remember. It must have been in the Cortelyou Road folder. Parkside, Prospect, Newkirk and Avenue H are the only Bighton line places where the LION has folders for the photos of him.

I couldn't find LION but I did find it interesting to note how close the track trip is located to the bumping post.
That is the final track trip, and is welded in place. There are at least two ahead of this that went down as the signals cleared.
He's sitting on the left rail in the bumping post, at the lower left corner of the rail.
I believe the first photo is at East NY yard, west of B'way Jc. Eastern Parkway Sta., and the lion is at the window in the left side of the small utility building with the purplish-red roof. Or lieing on the bottom rung of the fence on the near side of the tracks between the second and third posts from the right of the picture.
The seoncd plus third picture is looking westbound, railroad southbound, toward Brighton Beach Station, and the Lion is in the tree, in the photo above the Q sign of the train the B or D (depending when the photo was taken) you are riding would probably be passing, if it were noit being held for the northbound departure of the B or D leaving from the same track in the Brighton Beach station, which will take a crossover to the northbound express track to the left of the train you are riding.
The depressed two tracks are on the Franklin Shuttle on the southern portion ofo the line.
