Was 75 here in Urbana.  The thunderstorms formed just north across the interstate and headed north.  And I was hoping for some good lightning.

Is the coffee still hot?  I'm starting to drag down.  Zzz [zzz]

We were overcast with sprinkles today.  I'd say temps in the upper 40's or lower 50's at best.  Chace checked out ok, no problems.  Anyone check on that tuna noodle dish for dinner yet?  It's starting to smell delicious in here.

I made that for lunch, but I can use the leftovers for dinner if you like. I also brought in a basket of buscuits.

That set of photos is amazing, Mudchicken! It honestly looks like it could have been created with Photoshop, but then again I almost have to think it is real. Just incredible!

I'll provide  pasta with garlic or tomato sauce for dinner and some nice homemade biscuts.  For sides we will have green beans, mash potatoes, and carrote.  Also some turkey soup.  Ice cream for the dessert department unless anyone wants something else. I can always run to the store or whip something up before dinner.Chef [C=:-)]

Good Thursday morning, everyone!!  I'm baaaaack!!!!  And it sure is good to be back!  Finally got everything going again right around midnight!!  Our DSL modem decided to "kick the bucket" Sunday afternoon, and that's why Mutt and I haven't been around.

On the warmer bar, you will find:  turkey bacon, sausage, grits, homemade buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, tater tots, oatmeal, toast, bagels (or beagels for Mookie), pancakes and maple syrup.

I want to thank each and everyone of you for stepping up to the plate, and keeping everything running smoothly here in the DD/CS this week.  You all did a great job.  Everything looks clean and everything is in it's place.

Do I have any requests for lunch today?

^ - a new voice in the diner!  OK!  I am so glad you are all back.  I had to hunt around for the thread each morning, since it would get buried overnite when you weren't here to bring it back up.

Lunch - I think we should have something very light - like......CHOCOLATE CAKE....

Maybe chef salads, fruit salads, and spinach salads; grilled cheese with bacon inside (yum), BLT's, clubs, hot beef/turkey, and tuna salad!

Then a nap....(might start with a nap, too!)

Delighted Mookie!

It's actually great, but would be a lot better if when they send a replacement modem,

that it was exactly like the one that was there, not a different make/model,etc.

to where you have to reconfigure everything else.

I could go for a reuben...and coffee, of course.  I get a little break right now, because our 'technology' has failed.  Always fun when you can't get to any of your computer files on the company server.  Who's up for a game of cards...go fish?

Mookie, everything you requested for lunch, is on the warmer bar.  Sorry about being so late getting back in here:  sat down in my chair, and promptly fell fast alseepBlush [:I]  Guess that's what happens when you stay up till around two or a a little later, and wake up at 8:20, right?!?!

Since it's on the cool side today, temperature wise, outside, how about some nice, hot beef stew w/cornbread, for supper tonight?  Heck, I might even make that for our supper tonight, here at home, instead of what I'd intended to fix:  Betty Crocker Hamburger Helper Lasagna.

Everyone have a great afternoon, and stay warm and take care.

Welcome back CW, we missed you! tried to take care of things, at least nothing went out of hand while you were away

Today I think I will eat some of those fries that I made yesterday...well, bot really. Those are probably soggy by now. So I will have a fresh plate of them...with a large Pepsi

Went to the doc's office Monday and they said that Sadie had a huge growth spurt. I gained ten pounds since the last time I went in. She obviously got bigger as well...soi they want to do a follow up on me next week. The GD test turned up negative which I am so thankful for. My mom had GD with bith me and my sister, it was amazing that I didn't get it. YAY!!!. Other than that, basically they are saying that I am "Iron Woman" in the office, they have never seen someone so healthy in that office in a while before me. That I guess says something.

Duff, glad to hear the dr. report was very good!!  And thank you for the welcome back.  It's good to be able to be back.

As to the modem problem, we had it fixed yesterday afternoon, then we had thunder and lightning, and it messed everything up!  I was actually on line, and I got knocked off the computer, when lights flicked off, probably between 10 and 20 seconds:  long enough to screw everything up!!  Then, we couldn't get back on.  Finally found out that there was something wrong with the wireless connection also.  But, when Sarah got home from work, she and a very, very good tech support person, got everything figured out, and working properly again.

Joe, thanks.  It's good to be back online with all our family/friends (cause that's what you all are to us:  family as well as friends)!

Got a container of beef stew and a small plate of cornbread on the side, all ready for you and waiting in the fridge.

And for everyone else, the stew and cornbread are on the warmer bar, all ready for you to dig in.

Desserts tonight:  mixed fruit Jell-O w/peaches mixed in it, chocolate cake, pecan pie, chocolate pie, apple pie and peach pie.  And there's plenty of ice cream in the fridge.  Several varieties, so help yourself to the flavor of your choice.
