mr washed-up or washed-out, or whatever you call yourself today,

who they call is whomever they need to call!! DUH!!

grade crossing accidents- local police, or whomever investigated the accident, got it?

assuming you're quite as uninformed as you sound, pay attention, maybe you'll learn something..

pilferage from a freight car -- the fbi; vandalism to switches or signals, the ntsb;

drugs, why? you planning on a party? the r.rs. do drug tests, o.k.? positive results on an applicant reject the applicant.. positive results on a crewman, probably firing, and being reported to the dea and local police..

background checks? the r.rs. probably have terminals to check criminal histories; if they don't, they probably forward requests to the fbi..

why do i say probably? because i don't know for sure.. but i can certainly voice my opinion, and if anyone has better information, they can certainly speak up..

after all, if YOU can find your way to the top of a soapbox, i know i have a shot at saying what i believe..

i notice your communique bears no helpful information, just a lotta nuts-o whining.. if you have nothing to add to the discussion, SIT DOWN and be quiet until the bell rings!!

as do so many impatient souls, you're jumping to the conclusions you prefer.. i never said r.r. police arrest anyone off r.r. property, did i? i never said r.r. police give tickets, did i? jump, jump, jump.. you should try for the olympics, you'd hafta break some records for the biggest leap into confused thinking..

r.r. police and any security official for any type of employer have the right to detain anyone for offenses committed on the property they are hired to protect.. local customs dictate the local procedure.. r.r. police technically have the right to investigate an accident on the r.r. right-of-way.. they might not, because local police have more experience and the ntsb better resources..

r.r. police act as investiators: they carry a badge, id, and gun.. they can use deadly force to protect themselves or others on r.r. property..

r.r. police have close connections with local police where the r-o-w crosses into a city or county..

r.r. police gather evidence and investigate the same as police detectives.. if a case is minor, the local police might find it easier to prosecute and allow the r.r. police to follow cases elsewhere..

r.r. police can apply for warrants and be present when local police make an arrest.. r.r. police attend court and testify as witnesses and authenticate evidence they gathered and handed over to local police or the dist. atty..

all class 1 r.rs. have r.r. police, probably many regional or short lines share security firms where a small r.r. can't afford a special force for police work.. how am i doing so far?

with your attitude, i wouldn't want to be nearby when you get the feeling to whip something out.. if you think a r.r. i.d. will mean something to a cop, go ahead, make his day.. tell me how it turned it out after you put up bail..

some clueless type sees a message in his post about the administrator messing with his post, and what does he do? he screams bloody murder at everybody else!!

it ever occurred to this (?) that if you get a message about someone altering your post, then by golly, go scream at the person who put their name on the message!!
what are you screaming at everyone else for??

oh, mr cry-baby!! we didn't mess-up your #^&**& message!! we couldn't care less!! go cry on someone's shoulder who gives a %^*(*..

terry,

i'm sorry for the behavior on this forum.. it seems that, well, it's hard to describe, but the angry types that prowl this alley have a learning disability that's quite unique..

at some time in their foolish youth, they put an ear to the rail to feel the vibes from the coming train..

unfortunately, their head was turned away from the train, and they never knew what hit them.. now, we all pay the price.. they're o.k while on their meds, which is often mixed in their food.. that way, they're actually good guys but they don't know why!!

Great.
Now, go tell mike and missouri that. In fact, tell them to take their garbage and go talk to and pester the people who can change things. Tell them to push for underpases and overpasses, but no more at grade crossings. But please inform them that we, railroaders, engineers and conductors, and the fans on this forum, have zero control as to where, and what type of crossing is built.
We are tired of their garbage, their anger, their nonsense, but mostly, we are tired of them.
We know, from first hand experience, what causes most grade crossing accidents, and so do you.
If there is a unsignaled crossing, go to the people who designed and built it, not us.
Bluntly, is has come down to the fact that we no longed care to here their junk, we already know what will happen when someone drives around a gate, or fails to look, listen and live.
They, on the other hand, pretend to be on some mission to educate us poor "murdering thieves",
when in fact all they are really interested in is picking a fight, and causing as much uproad and unpleasent and hostile feelings as they can. To that end, they have succeded.
So we are left with one simple answer to the crap they continue to post, in their effort to provoke us.
WE DONT CARE WHAT YOU POST.

Now for the correct info being i ask you to be more pacific but you cant do that right either so i will correct you.

1) back ground checks are given to the local police department to do it for them as they have no access to fbi files or crimainal records maintained by the justice system.

2)and pilferage is done as a report and what little ivestigation they do is done in house as far as watching the public in the area for who might have been in the area. same with switches and soforth the only time the nstb is put into action is if someone dies or the cost of the accident exceeds a cetain amount. the fbi is nnot involved unless it is sabotage

3) drug test is done in house by the railroad trainmaster who when you go for your phisical you are tested then. the lab will send result back to the trainmaster if after post accident or random test you are positive you dont get fired you go into drug rehab. then after that you turn positive again then you are fired no police involved.
in railcrossing accidents are railroad police will do there own investigation if they are around other wise it is a trainmaster or roadforman. its pretty simple the railroad police cant even arrest a man he is like a security gaurd who has to call the regular police to come and get him. they can cuff him but that is it. the railroad police are not what they use to be.

now cabbackwards since you couldnt tell anyone what was asked i had to do it for you. trust me i have had several people arrested when i was a conductor for tresspassing and are cops couldnt chase them when they run. so now you know the rest of the story.

Kev

I am sorry to say with a attitude like that you will never get to be a unihead. and i was just about to give my approval. i know its much later than i said but i had to wait and see if you could handle the pressure. you are slipping. see i have this title given me that says i am vice unihead from prez ed. all you need to do is not atke it personal and make a point and stick with it. then they get this idea you are a mean and terrible person and wont bother you. Ed know i go for the contradiction why it makes a simple statement go farther and more of a correct learning procedure. Ed does such a fine job i cant pin him down to make him give more detailed staments he does that the first time i on the other hand leave things open on perpose. anyways just calm dowm and have fun railroading on the net we know you are a railroader just be proud you are doing something other wi***hey could do.

Well there instuctor is using missouri and now recently cabforward as study matter. I cannot say what they came up with for privatcy reasons, but he did say they are good example's.

Hi Tim,
Yeah, my friend did his profile up good, it about seven pages long, with a lot of notes and references, and some suggestions about motives, which I wont post here, because he asked me not to. But missouri is, well, the best way to describe it would be lonely? Really lonely?

man,

you are one de-railed wreck and don't know it.. first thing, there is no PRIVACY in a forum.. what makes you think you can post to one person only, and have noone else read it, or reply to it?

second thing is, and everybody's gonna love this:

I AM THE FORUM POLICE!!!

i reported you and others to the forum editor, youbetcha!!

i did, i am, and i will send information about ANYONE who uses language which is in violation of this forum's policy against bad language.. got it?

and if you want to report me
(for what i cannot imagine, i leave that to your ilk), here is the address, in case you don't understand what 'contact us' means:

remember,that's

one more time, all together now:

want to cuss me out? do it!

question my heritage? do it!

take a dump on me? do it!

'cause it's all going right to the above address, bingo!

so, if you feel no need to restrain either end of your pathetic torso, go ahead, relieve yourself.. i will read it, i will report it and the admin. will alter it!!

on the other hand, nobody's put a gun to your head, have they? nobody's starving you if you don't post here, are they?

if freedom of speech to you means embarrassing others who find your smell offensive, start your own forum.. call it the 'filthy, smutty, revolting, foul railroaders forum'.. you can accept complaints from those who are upset when a post does NOT contain offensive language!!

don't forget, the address is:

operators are standing by, send in your complaint now!!

Hi Ed,

Apparently, I didn't see the posts from these mike or missouri guys, or others, where they called us murdering dens of thieves, or what ever.

If they did say that, I can see why all the fuss. Didn't see it myself, though. Or maybe I thought they were refering to those who were actually making the decisions - the politicans, and certain hihmuckymuck business types.

Granted, any complaining here probably won't be heard by these guys who are responsible. Also granted, that grade crossings are a painful thing to most railroaders, so why shouldn't we be able to comiserate with each other over this forum, and spout our ideas to each other.

One would have thought that sharing such common concerns and ideas with each other would constitute "preaching to the choir", But it seems, almost every time I get involved with some issue here, its personal attact I get back from some, instead of reasonable discussion. I see that happening to others as well.

Without pointing any personal fingers at anyone, I simply wish we could "...all just get along"!

Being Frosty, respectfully,
Ol'PoleBurner

OK forum Rat, what do you consider a cuss word. What standard are you going to use to deem appropriate language? What is your background that gives you the knowledge to judge people? If you are going to rat people out because they say something you do not agree with, then you sir are truely the bad person here.

You know, it would be different if they had offered a solution, any solution, but in every posting they just insulted us, the railroaders who post here, and the fans, often with language best found out at a railroad yard, not here.
Somewhere around the 15th or 20th time I was called a killer and a ***kerhead, I got a little PO'ed, and along with others who were fed up with them, and bit back. If you have about a day of spare time, read through their postings, there is even one where missouri thinks we should ride on top of railcars, to better give hand signals to the engineer.
Neither one has offered any solution to the grade crossing problem, other than the railroads should give a lot of money to anyone injured, even if it is the drivers fault. If you want to deal with them, fine by me. But I wont waste any more time "talking" to them, from now on, I plan to just laugh at them, or make their idiotic postings into jokes. Its safer that way, and less wear and tear on the keyboard.
By the way, I plan on remaining spell checkless, it makes me think about what I am writting, instead of relying on the program to do so for me.
Stay Frosty,
Ed

Have yet to get a grasp on what his gripe really is, unless he sued a railroad and lost. Other than that, I think (know) he is a manic depressive, with no life to speak of outside of this forum, and this is the only way he can get anyone to pay any attention to him.
Sent you a e-mail, dont know if it worked.

I am glad that you raised this point. Last year 42,000 people died in automobile accidents. Where is the outrage?

By the way, I am a transit planner and spend a lot of time on transportation and land use issues.
