This kinda reminds me of a story from Iraq. Story goes, a M1A1 tank crew noticed an insurgent aiming a rifle at them and managed to fire a shot off . Now what happened next is .

A. tank crew poopied in their pants.
B. Insurgent poopied in his pants.
C. insurgent ran like the coward he was.
D. Tank crew returned fire with a SABO round / thus ending the problem.

The answer is D. I saw the video on Military.com to comfirm this story.

I'm not quite sure a costly hit to the pocketbook would educate them as much as a costly hit to the side of their vehicle though...That's the only way I think they'll ever truely learn, as sad as it may be...

The cops were probably just using their "concern" for safety of the drivers as a ruse to pull them over and search their cars for contraband.

a $75 dollar fine isn't gonna do much to deter people from doing that. i refuse to wear my seatbelt and for that i've been issued 5 tickets over the past couple years now that it's a "primary offense" and another bullshiiit reason for a cop to pull you over.

I remember reading a number of years ago about an Operation Lifesaver special that put on its program in Oakland CA, then nailed a moron at the first grade crossing it came to[:o)][:(!].

Clearly these people shouldn't be driving at all. I've often said that the states' driving test is too easy. I passed it with flying colors, it was too easy. What the DMV needs to do is to take drivers out on busy roads, not busy roads, highways, and areas that have grade crossings, they also should have people parallel park on a busy street (were you would most likely attempt to parallel park) Taking a cruse around the parking lot or in a test area, isn't too much of a test compared to what drivers actually have to go through on the road every day.

Becides this I think the Driver's Manual and Driver's Ed courses and schools should teach the students more about grade crossings. In PA's Driver's Manual there is only one paragraph about what a railroad crossing is, that's not good enough, espeacilly since most of the general pulbic dosen't know the first thing about trains or railroading.

I've actually seen people get out of their cars and lift the arm up at the grade crossing if a train is blocking the road for a time and cross a double track main, when they are uncertain if another train is comming on the other track. Um can we say stupid?? I don't care if the street was one way only, you don't cross over the tracks like that you turn the car around with hazords on and go the wrong way down the street until your able to get off.
