Let me know if they indicate they will take a check. I'll buy them all and then deed them all over to futuremodal with the provision that they go open access and he covers all losses.

Actually the PC&N has been sold. All of Alcoa's shortlines were sold to a shortline operator.

Knock it off wiseguys. Everyone knows im buying BNSF,UP,NS,CSX, and CN, (you can have KCS and CP) and turnign them into a railroad where the locomotives being clean is always first priority and they must do everything to suit a railfans needs like blowing a - - 0 - to every railfan near the tracks.
What a bunch of jokers.......

Actually, I am in conference with my credit union at British Petroleum, we will have a check in the morning!
Imagine, a world wide mega evil oil company owing a monopolistic closed access railway!
If we want you to take the train, we will jack oil prices so high...
And if we want you off the train, and driving again, we can charge twice what it cost to fly...(we plan on buying Delta and Northwest on Monday)...

What a country!

This has been a good week. Hurricanes are gone, cool front came through (for those of you who don't know, we've had 110 heat index days in Texas recently), and the forum got REAL FUN again!

I just got an update! PC&N wants to start a massive steam program. They want to round up all the T&NO Mikados that they can and restore them. Sounds like a great steam program. From what I have heard, they also want to bring in NS management as consultants.

As I stated previously, the big roads don't have much of a choice. The STB has created a special program that would essentially require the surrrender of controlling shares to the prospective shortline (or regional) as long as the meet certain criteria. This is a huge move on the part of the PC&N.

Show me this special program! Is the government forcing all the major railroads to sell, won't this create a rail monopoly out west? The government is not likely to allow any mergers much less UP to BNSF!

That is what they want you to believe. The HB&T has entered into a massive conspiracy with some undisclosed Texas politicians to take over the world. This scheme required it to fake its death. They are hiding their locomotives in a secret, undisclosed location (they did not go to the "parent" railroads).[;)]

I heard PC&N was planning on "buying" all railroads.

Texas was the only state that was it's own country before it joined the United States. Because of that, Texas was granted special privisions in cases, like this particular merger, where a Texas law that was on the books before they joined the union supercedes any subsequent federal law that might disagree with that law. That's why we all carry sidearms. We could do it before, so why not now?

Sorry to burst the bubble of all Texans, my nephew included, but California was briefly an independent country (about six months or so) during the beginning of the Mexican War and that fact is still advertised on their state flag.

This post is comical... The UP, BNSF & whoever being taken over by who? The PC&Nothing (I already forgot their name). Electric blue steam engines... I can't wait to see that retro UP special paint job on engine 2005 (to protect the licensing issues).

You know what they say about Texas... everything is bigger - including the rumors

Somebodies HO railroad has gotten way out of control,
