1. The CSS&SB routing through Michigan City. 2. The door arrangement on the single-level air-conditioned post-WWII Rock Island commuter cars. 3. That double-stacks pass under the CSSS&SB catenary at Kinsington Junction in Chicago. 4. That the 4-wheel trucks on the GG-1's were never powered, the experiment was only tried on the P-5 4-6-4's. 5. The difference between Walschearts and Baker valve gear.

Help me out guys. I look forward to coming here and reading. Like all of you, I would love nothing better than finding lots of interesting things to read about, and to share in the conversation. Each and every one of you have interesting things to say. The trouble is, most don't. What disapoints me though, is that so many threads die, because they devolve into petty little snips between parties that pick at each other. At some point, nearly everyone of us had done that. I have. I know that, when I've been called on it, I've tried to man up to it and apologize. I know that I've backtracked 3 or 4 times over something I said to Futuremodal alone. I don't want to read about nitpicking. I want to read about railroads-PLEASE. Junctionfan & BNSFrailfan: would you both consider removing or editing your nasty posts? Just put in a [:)] instead, and we'll know that you want to talk railroading too. What do you think?

Thanks[:)]

Murphy Siding: one thing I've learned on this forum is that, in spite of the nitpicking that goes on at times, it's still magnitudes better than the first forum I became of member of (only because my son frequented the site, and it will remain nameless). On that site, there are no forbidden words, and flame wars there make disagreements here look like a minor puff of smoke. I am very happy to have this site as one of my startup tabs on Firefox.

blhanel: I frequent a lot of car racing forums. On a lot of them, saying "your mother wears army boots" would be one of the nicer things said.[:O]
