So, briefly, exactly what is the disputed policy?

Points for brevity...

BNSF is going to a point based attendance policy a la UP.

A current BNSF employee posted an update on a facebook group that BNSF has sued the unions trying to strike over this. According to the attorneys on the case the attendance policy does not violate anything in the current labor contract, and that any work stoppage would violate the railway labor act. Get your popcorn ready..

The "jungle telegraph" is pretty strong, especially in this Internet day and age.  If you're a lousy place to work the word gets around pretty quickly, even more so in certain businesses.

It's been fun.  But it isn't much fun anymore.   Signing off for now.

Well this isn't going to help the ports of the LA that much if the strike happens.    Over an attendence policy that BNSF implemented recently.   Obviously the White House will insist on the cooling off period but will the Unions abide by that?    Interesting developments and time will tell I guess.
