How the heck did we get from ethanol, oil, and gas to ventilators???

Beats me. I thought they were talking about ventilators on ethanol cars and I just didn't want to appear dumb by asking. Dunce

It does say "Vent tank before unloading." on many tank cars.  I figured they just opened a valve at the top before unloading from the bottom.  Maybe they use 'ventilators' for that. Big Smile

I vaguely remember a brand of window fan named "Ventilator" (or something similar) back in the 1950's.  My visulation when this present usage started in the media was of two 6 inch diameter 4-blade fans side by side in a metal panel that could be put on a double-hung window sill and the lower sash put down on top of it so air could be drawn into or out of a room (a common man's room air conditioner back then).
