No, you aren't the only one. The new issue has not yet reached the City of Brotherly Love and Reading Deprivation. We just practice Quaker patience.

By the way, when I first subscribed, back in 1961, there was a monthly house ad urging readers to buy back issues. The slogan was that "every magazine is new until you've read it." Just think of the November issue as sort of eternally new.

I found mine in the catalogue pile where the kids tried to hide it...so I was a member of this thread in spirit until last night.

Still hasn't reached me yet.

By the way, anyone wonder if the majority of Trains readers would pay twice the money for bi-monthly magazines rather than monthly. I certainly would--maybe there just isn't enough information to do that though . . . .

Don't have mine yet. Of course, I haven't been to the hobby shop to pick it up. Maybe tomorrow. Been a busy week.

My guess is the staff is busy enough as it is! I think the (almost) daily news updates on this website help keep things interesting. If once a month is not enough, check out Classic Trains. If that's still not enough...there's the web with an endless amount of stuff to sort through...

Not in Denver on Friday 10/1 (I'd be upset if it was the October issue, but it isn't...)

Does Kalmbach worry about dated info hitting the street sometime.???

Not here in Chicago. Trains has an unfortunate tendency to arrive on Mondays with Model Railroader and Time. :)

When I first subscribed in the mid 1980's, the new issues would come around the 15th of the previous month.

This is really getting serious. After starting this mess by announcing that I got my trains on the 21st, Kathi may go on the subscription master and enter the comment "Mail last".

Theories:

1. Mookie is right. Bergie is personally delivering all the copies, but stopped at Saluda to wait for a train to get some shots for Trackside, Vol.17.

2. The USPS accidently put all but the few that have been delivered into containers Marked "Return to Outer Mongolia", but were diverted in China due to something about a coal shortage. (If that is true, Noah and I will put ours up on Ebay. That should take care of Noah's college education and I will get that little island in the Caribbean that I have had my eye on).

3. (The scariest). Since the feature article is about chemical shipments, Homeland Security got all the mail copies and is vetting each subscriber. (If you are on the bottom of the stack, maybe NEXT November).

P.S. We know for sure the fault does NOT lie with the crew at Trains.

I don't have it yet, I'm up in Canada.

I was looking forward to an early release, but it doesn't look that will happen for me.
