Hey Zug; I like your avatar!

Me too!

Didn't Gene Roddenberry originally describe Star Trek as a "Wagon Train to the stars!"?

Wagon Train was a bit before my time, so cam't comment on the similarities. OTOH, Star Trek did come across as Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea set in space, with Kirk being Cpt Crane and Spock being Adm Nelson.

I guess it's probably because I don't watch TV, but what exactly is your avatar?

It's a star trek thing.  I did like the sheep and scotch one... I have that one saved.  But for some reason I hate having the same avatar for more than a few weeks here.   I don't know why.

TNG was good, but nothing compares to the Kirk/Spock/McCoy team leading the Enterprise nthe Original Series.

I got this message from another source.  It's so amateurish that I'm surprised anyone would give it any credence. Heck, the guy can't even speak English properly. But, I suppose there are some who would.

Poor English grammar could be construed as making the e-mail seem genuine.

I've seen some posts on forums that make that look like the queen's English...Angry

But you're right - most such posts are written in stilted English, providing the appearance that English isn't the writer's primary language.  They're always quite "proper," though.

Now, Larry, mind your manners.Smile

This morning, I received one such attempt via regular email from a "Kenneth Danquah," who wrote quite well. It goes into the trash bin. I am sure that we have all noticed a general format which screams "SCAM! SCAM!"

It seems that enough has been said here and there on the web about these attempts to scam that no one would be taken in. However, there are neophytes and others who are gullible and so lose their life savings.

Out here, there are artists who play upon religious affiliation to deceive people into giving them money.
