HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOOKIE!! Happy B-Day Happy B-Day Happy B-Day Happy B-Day

Hope it's a very good one for one!  Here's your birthday bagel for breakfast, and a cup (mug) of coffee.

Yes, we're celebrating the Mookster's birthday today!  To go along with bagels for Mookie, on the breakfast warmer bar you'll find:  turkey bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, bear claws and biscuits & sausage gravy, oatmeal, toast.

This  coming Saturday, we'll be celebrating Randy Voss' birthday!  So think we'll just keep up the birthday decorations all week long.

When I got up at 6, we had a temp of 33, guess it's probably 32 or 31 by now, with enough snowfall to cause several accidents this morning; really slick on the bridges & overpasses, of course.  I guess some people will never learn to slow down when it starts snowing, raining, etc.

Everyone have a good morning, enjoy your breakfast, stay warm and take care.

Yall old geezers can insult each others all you want. A young feller (22) like me could learn a lot from you. Weather is 37 and dark here at present, No snow, sunlight, mist, fog or rain.

And the Florida Gators were washed out of the Georgia Dome, back to their swamp at Gainesville by the Alabama Crimson Tide. Watch out, Longhorns, you may be swamped, too.Smile

What gives, Ed? About this time last year, you had a good snow to contend with. Is global warming responsible for this snow, too?Smile

Congratualations, Sarah! Thumbs Up

Northern Utah received snow yesterday and last night. Magna, which is west of us, in the Valley, reported 4"--and Snowbird, which is 8000 feet higher, reported 3". The northern mountains may get up to two feet tonight, and the foothills may get up to 8".

Has anybody let on about the big day tomorrow...(besides it being Pearl harbor day)?.[

Ahem young man!  Just remember you follow me at the end of this month.  And I have an honorable holiday to go with my b'd - you just get a baby with a sash and top hat and probably goosebumps!

I see Willy is giving me a foot of snow as a gift.  As soon as we can dig out of it I will have to drive to Omaha and poke him with a snow shovel.  Whatever happened to gifting with hankies?  It's all MC's fault - he started all this snow garbage!

Why do I keep having visions of Ed (Houston Snowman) bundling-up the residents of "the swamp" in scarves, mukluks & mittens? The gators must be stylin' down there in their bearskins.

Snow is falling in Omaha this evening. We're only expecting 2 or 3 inches out of this system. A much more potent storm system is supposed to bring another 10 inches on Tuesday, along with winds of 40 mph.

This week is the last week of classes at Creighton. The following week is finals week and then we have nearly a month off before the beginning of the spring semester. It's kind of amazing how fast this first semester has gone.

At 2:02, our thermometer is showing 38 degrees, and we're seeing a little bit of sunshine.

For our Sunday Dinner today, I've fixed two dishes, giving you a choice:

1.  Meat loaf w/mashed taters, gravy

2.  Roast, taters, carrots

Both have the following side dishes:  green beans, corn, garden salad and homemade buttermilk biscuits

Everyone enjoy your meal, your afternoon, and stay warm and take care.

Good Sunday morning, everyone.  We have a very cold morning, with a temp of 21 degrees at 8:02 a.m. Supposed to make it to 42 today.

Joe, thank you for fixing breakfast this morning.  I think I'll take some bacon and eggs, and a slice of supreme pizza for my breakfast.

We enjoyed the Christmas Dinner/party last night.  I just can't figure out who was playing Santa this year, as it was someone different this year.  Sarah received Firefighter of the Year award.  I believe Walt got a picture of her receiving it. Know he reached for the camera, so guessing that he got a picture.

Mookie, you would have been in 7th heaven last night:  there was yellow cake w/chocolate icing, along with coconut cream pie, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, cherry pie and banana cream pie.  The cake was white, w/white icing, and there was even a snowman decoration made from icing.  Whomever made that cake has to have the patience of Job!

Everyone have a very good day, stay warm and take care.

Justin......I realize snow has been in this general part of the country but so far, we've lucked out and escaped seeing any yet.  Perhaps now the next chance will be about next Wednesday.

Thumbs Up Yes, thumbs up on the Boy Scout activity....keep that up.  Good early life training.  I can still say my "scouts oath" and "scouts law".....after 60 some years of being a scout.

Dry. And no snow, not even any snowflakes here yet.

Quinton,

Snow was here in western Indiana last night. It wasn’t a blizzard or anything, but it was snowing pretty good. No accumulation though. Dogs water took some bribing with a hammer this morning to become drinkable. It was only 20* here, so everything froze.

Anyway, thanks for breakfast. I’m going to be the American Flag carries in our local parade today. I’m doing it with my local Boy Scout troop. Hope that will go well in 20 degree weather.

Have a good day.

Oh, I almost forgot.

Went shopping last night at the mall and got mother a new diamond ring for Christmas!

Have a good day.

Justin

Wow....those seem like surprising figures for where you are Murray.  We had 24 degrees here this morning about 7:30 and I just peeked at the instrument before sitting down here and we now have 27.  Partly sunny.  Seems it will be similar for several days going forward.  Dry. And no snow, not even any snowflakes here yet.

Good Morning all:

We had an overnight low of 24 here in Alamo City.  Currently we are at 27.  Good deal of frost on my cars.

We missed the snow that Houston got...but there is no doubt that winter is now here.

Enjoy your Saturday!

Good Saturday morning folks! Joe, thanks much for fixing breakfast for the rest of us. I'm getting ready to head out the door for work and it is cold here in Sioux Falls, we have a temp of 10 degrees and the wind chill factor puts us at 5 above 0. Fortunately, I only have a few hundred paces to cover between my front door and the offices of my weekend employer.

I hope the rest of you out there are all having a good day. Stay warm!

Good Saturday morning, to one and all.  It's a very cool temp here in Louisville, with 26,27 degrees outside.  Our high today is only to get up to about 37.  This is below normal for us, at this time of year, according to the meterologists.

Joe, thank you very much for fixing such a wonderful breakfast!  With these new meds I'm taking, I have to eat something, and this breakfast will fit the bill nicely.

Everybody have a good day today, dress warmly and take care.  See you all after awhile.

Good mornin right back at ye, Joe, and thanks for breakfast. 48 and cloudy at sunrise in Carolina, with more rain expected later. I finally got my new monitor on line last night, and it is like day and night. I had not realized how bad the old one was. I shall enjoy playing with this one today. Everybody take care and stay warm
