Good morning everybody. 74 degrees and fog in Carolina this morning. It is supposed to get up to 84 with rain and scattered thunderstorms today and tonight. I think I would pass on that game in Denver with freezing and snow. Unless the stadium is enclosed, it wouldn't be worth it for me. Everyone take care

Joe, thanks for fixing breakfast for the rest of us. I'm hungry this morning.

I woke up within the last hour and we have a trace of snow on the ground here in Sioux Falls, and the temp here is only 24 degrees. Brrrr, it's cold!!

I hope the rest of you are all having a good day, and stay warm!

Good Saturday morning, everyone.  Joe, thank you for getting breakfast ready this morning!  I decided to sleep in a little bit this morning, so that's why you made in before I did.  Sounds like you've got a good day ahead of you.

The rain is also out of our area.  Thank goodness!  Everyone here won't get waterlogged this morning, doing the Susan G. Kohman Race for the Cure, that will be starting about 9 a.m. this morning.  Going to be a very cool day, with a high of about 62, I believe is what I heard this morning.  But we'll have a mix of sun and clouds, so it shouldn't be too gloomy a day.

Everyone have a great day ahead, be safe on your outings, and take care.  See you all later on for our pizza fest tonight.

CW, you sure make it tough on those who are trying to control their weight. I love all of the Fish Fry items, and their accompanying sides, plus desert. Maybe I'll have to go out and work it off. See what you get me into.

Careful, there, Ms Mook.  We wouldn't want you to blow a gasket or anything....

Looking wet here today, but Sunday and Monday will be merely cloudy.  I'm not usually working the "pit" cooking chicken, so Sunday's weather is only a big deal if it keeps the customers away.  But I'm working on the railroad Monday, and I don't relish getting wet....

Back to the grind.

Good morning! CW, thanks much for breakfast this morning!

I reckon fall has arrived here in the Dakotas. I have been up for barely a half an hour and the temp here in Sioux Falls is only 27 degrees. At least we are not seeing any snow in the forcast. Stay warm, folks!

Good Friday morning  everyone.  Man, it's been a wild weather time here in the Metro Louisville, south and east of us since around 3 a.m.  Flash flood watches, t-storm warnings, and a tornado warning in Hodgenville, Larue County, KY, about 60 miles south of Louisville.  Fortunately, haven't heard of any homes damaged, or people injured, etc.

Coffee, juices, hot chocolate, hot cider, and hot water for tea are ready to go.

On the breakfast/warmer bar this morning:  bagels, bear claws, caramel pecan rolls, doughnuts - all kinds, ranging from cake to yeast, to long johns w/your choice of vanilla or cream filling, w/chocolate icing, to doughnut holes and blueberry,  and strawberry and chocolate chip muffins.

Joe, glad you and Stacey had a nice anniversary and got to see some long distance friends.

Everyone have a good morning, stay safe and dry, and take care.

Methinks the news reporter from above needs to find a new job. Wonder if the lab at Weatherliar U needs a crash test dummy?

Quinton, have you herd of anything like that?

Justin....I did see an extended forecast this morning, but it didn't seem to have those kinds of temps listed.

Edit:  Now on a more recent report....Upper 30's for low temps, starting Sunday and on to Wednesday.

Home from school. Pouring rain! Me, and the bills I was carrying, got soaked. Bills are even more fun to pay when they are soaked, and the ink is running off of them.

52* right now, and if I herd the weatherman right, it will be in the 30’s next week. Quinton, have you herd of anything like that?

See you all later!

Snowing in Denver today - Lincoln too? (1-2" by this afternoon....Rox/Phillies this weekend could be unusual to watch)...What flavor do we put in Mookie's slushy?

That covered hopper wasn't enroute to Coor's was it? (you know, for plastic lining for the cans?)Dead

I doubt any of us will watch that game, especially since it's Baseball; now if it were Football, and those city teams were playing; might have a very hard time keeping Sarah away from the TV!

(We'd rather watch Cartoons, or the British Comedies anyway.)

I'm guessing(?) RED for Mookie's "Slushy"; I think Lincoln Folks like Red as their color.

We are, HOPEFULLY(?) minus one squirrel; even after our animals couldn't get, and MC's didn't arrive in time; and after the purchase of a "Humane"(?) "trap", S.O.B.(Q?) went into empty dog food bag and got "escorted" out of house!

Thank G.. we don't have video cameras in the house, it wasn't a very pretty sight!

Yes, I too, want to wish boshen a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAYHappy B-Day!  For some strange reason, it wasn't on my birthday/anniversary calendar. Sad

For lunch/supper menu today:

1.  leftover Chili w/cornbread from yesterday and

2.  Vegetable beef soup, also with cornbread, or crackers and grilled cheese sandwiches

The rain hasn't shown up in our immediate area yet, but is supposedly on its way in.  I hear traffic going by the house, and so far, the street is still dry.  But it does look like it could start anytime.  Once it does, they say we could see two to four inches by the time it leaves the area tomorrow night, Saturday morning. And we may have the possibility of flash flooding, and the warnings for such.

Everyone enjoy your meal, have a good afternoon, stay dry if it is raining in your area, and take care.

Happy Anniversary Joe and Stacey!

Happy Anniversary Cannonball and Shirl!

Cloudy and cold in the "Big O" today, but even colder over the weekend. Looks like highs could be in the mid 30s on Saturday, along with some snow.

Low 30's in at Prescott, AZ  this AM. Those pancakes sound like the insulation my body will need.

I suspect it is in the mid 20's at Flagstaff and Winslow on the BNSF Transcon. So you folks who only think of AZ as a desert with 100 plus temps can adjust your perspective.

I neglected to wish a happy anniversary to Cannonball and Shirl. Many happy returns to both of you. The sun has come out now and it is a lovely day here with 64 degrees. I spent some time last night fighting with Franklin D Roosevelt. I got a few new dimes for my collection, and it almost took a hydraulic press to get them in the album. Apparently, the maker of the album got the holes a tad smaller than the coins. It made for an interesting time, and was one of the reasons I was up most of the night! When not arguing with Franklin D, I checked out the wireless, which was a waste of time. For now, take care, stay safe

I too, would like to wish Joe and Stacey a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! And I hope the two of you will have many more happy years together.

It's barely 40 degrees here in Sioux Falls, South Dakota this morning and we have a cloudy, overcast sky with a 60% chance of rain for today. I've got a couple hours to kill before I must head for work. Gotta go to our local post office and mail a letter to an aunt and uncle of mine who live in Estes Park, Colorado.

I hope the rest of you out there are all having a very good day.
