Modelcar

Overcast and windy.....but warm....69 degrees now at 10:30.

Wow, I don't think it'll be 69 degrees at 10:30 AM here in Omaha again until sometime in March or April. You're lucky! In Omaha it's 43 degrees with mist right now.

Just a friendly (and early) reminder that daylight savings time ends this weekend. Remember to "fall back" tomorrow evening. Check the batteries in your smoke detectors too!

I'm going to try to relax this weekend because I have a busy week next week. There's a paper due for rhetoric and composition on Monday, an atmospheric sciences exam on Tuesday, and a calculus exam on Wednesday. Oh what fun it will be.

WINDY, is the Key Word right now! The rain is still about 1/12-2 hrs away. (according to Weather Guessers.) Just got back from riding my bike to the Library; very glad I wasn't driving a "High Profile Vehicle", Crosswinds were bad enough on the bike!

CW & Sarah are out for awhile, guess I get to replinish the Fri. Fish Fry stuff on the "Warmer Bar".....well, everything is now fresh!

Larry, really liked that one about the telemarketer and the Police Detective, saw that one before, but have never had a chance to use that one. Political Stuff; how do they rate not being blocked?!

I get rather ******* at not being able to yell at a person calling me....since it's all computerized.

Randy, hope you did either request, or get those pictures of the "Smart Car Sandwich"......hope person(s) in Smart Car survived. (guess when the F.D. rolled up on the scene, they were asked for a #2 scoop shovel)(and "kitty litter" for mitigation)

Yes, how anybody in the car survived would be beyond me. It looks as though all of the material of the car itself takes every bit of the space between the two trucks. Neither one is an eighteen-wheeler, but they succeeded in completely crushing the car. They appear to be dump trucks that carry heavy loads (three axles under the load), and they both seem to be loaded.

My offer holds--send me your email, and I will forward the pictures (one is of a totally unsuspecting Smart Car).

Walt, thanks for fixing the fish fry.  Looks like you did a good job!  Sarah and I have been home for a little bit, and the rain started here about 10,15 minutes ago.  So far, just coming down lightly.  Nothing heavy so far, and the winds are beginning to pick up.  Everyone have a good evening, and see you all later.

Evening all......

Johnny, look in your private messages, sent you my e-mail addy, Walt and Paula have it as well if you can't find it there.  Have to be patient when asking for a reply, as sometimes I can't find internet service, or am too tired to check for a few days, such is the life of a truck driver.....

Sleep cycle is all messed up right now, due to a 5am EDT appointment yesterday in Warsaw, IN, and then a 3am CDT appointment in Chicago this morning, slept half the morning next to the city of Chicago cop shop (and nothing got stolen, either. (insert rimshot here)).  Now have Bud Light cardboard for (you guessed it) Budweiser in Cartersville, GA, it's a 'take my time' load, but should be there Sunday morning.  For some reason, beer is flying off the shelves, don't know why......

Mudchicken, a stun gun works nicely as an attitude adjuster, just have to catch the little bugger at Weatherguesser U first......

Speaking of wrecks, saw the aftermath of one Wednesday morning near Erie, PA on I-90, don't know what the semi hit, but he hit it hard enough to spin the trailer 180 degrees, and messed up the tractor pretty good.

In other news, our company is so fed up with the performance (or lack thereof) of Caterpillar's C13, that we are trading in all 70 of them for new trucks with Cummins engines.  Still have not heard on when I may get my 2006 model traded in, guessing sometime this winter.

Good Saturday morning, everyone.  Well, the rain is out of Louisville, heading eastward.  Tom, guess you'd better be getting ready to see it come your way.  We are starting the morning out with a temp range of 49 to 51, and the high today is to be only 54 degrees around mid afternoon.  "Will be dry for the trick or treaters and adults going to parties" is what the "weather guessers" are saying.

Coffee, juices, hot chocolate, milk (plain, chocolate, strawberry), hot cider, and hot water for hot tea are all ready to go.  On the warmer bar this morning:

1.  Pancakes w/your choice of bacon or sausage and scrambled eggs

2.  Bagels, bear claws or blueberry muffins

3.  Country fried ham w/red eye gravy, grits, homemade buttermilk biscuits, eggs (scrambled, fried), fried taters

Everyone enjoy your breakfast, have a good morning, and you all keep warm, stay dry, and take care.

......Our rain has moved on....to the east in a long N  S string.  Sunshine now blazing in my east window here as I type.  Looks like we'll be having quite a bit of it for next 4 or 5 days too.  Temps early this morning were in mid 40's.   Perhaps just getting to 50's today.

Leaves {the one's that come down now}, are mostly down.  So as soon as it dries...I'll be working on the lawn to get it cleared and looking nice.

Still  a bit of wind blowing and some clouds blowing in several directions.  The sunshine really seems bright....Atmosphere must really be "cleaned out".

Peace be with you. 75 degrees and sunny in Carolina, with rain coming in later today. Today has been hectic but is beginning to sort itself out. Tonight is BBQ ribs and seafood which I greatly look forward to. Not much to report so will go splitsville. Everyone take care

Back later to sort thru mah goodies.....Mischief

Mookie, just for you, I have set your very own large bowl of trick or treat goodies, with lots of goooooood chocolate!!

And for everyone else, there are two Tupperware Fix & Mix bowls heaping full of all kinds of Halloween candy.  There is also some caramel apples and candied apples.

But, no one can touch the Halloween goodies until after you eat your supper!!  We do have our regular Saturday Night Pizza Fest on the warmer.  There are to large of each of the following pizzas:  1. Canadian bacon; 2.  Goetta; 3.  Hawaiian; 4.  Pepperoni/mushroom; 5.  Supreme; 6.  Italian sausage w/cheese stuffed in the crust.

Everyone have a good evening, have fun with your trick or treaters; and, if you're going to an Adult Halloween party, enjoy and have fun, but be careful and keep safe!  See  you all tomorrow.

And remember to set your clocks back one hour, check & replace your smoke alarm batteries, and check your carbon monoxide detectors also.

I did the trick or treat door thing; I set my clocks; I did my laundry; I had my supper; I changed all my batteries, including the clocks; and I even did a little train watching.

Now I am too pooped to do much more than sit and hold my bowl of good chocolate.  Thank you CW.  I will have to have some with breakfast.  But I can sit and smell it without any effort....  Thumbs Up

Tired Mookie

PS - do we have to still move tonite?  Blah....
