I do have a walking stick, that I use whenever I'm outside, and when we go anywhere. The walking stick is hand carved, by a friend of ours, and I haveused it for several years. I also have my paternal great aunt's cane, that I quit using afterI got the walking stick. That cane must be well over a hundred years old, now. I'm glad I had already made lunch today, and had it in the fridge. Lunch today:meat loaf, Mookie's "smashed taters" w/gravy, shelly beans, and corn on thecob.Looks like we've got enough chocolate cake for today, and probably tomorrow, too.Nightrain, thank you for bringing in some. That is very much appreciated!! This cookwill take all the help she can get: especially today!! Nightrain, how close are you toTarpon Springs? Mutt has family there.Message From:The Cook

Don't have a whole lot to report otherwise. Denver has been slowing starting to warm up again, but we have a cold front coming through for the weekend that should drop us back into the low 80's, with a better threat for afternoon storms. Hopefully they stay afternoon storms as I think I'm headed up another 14er over the weekend. I think I'm going to try Quandary Peak up towards Breckenridge. It'll be a new one if I make it, and I can lower my count of remaining 14ers.
Well, I suppose I should head to the salt mines. Hope you all have a great day!

Mookie, did you bring the bagels in, or did we havea visitor bearing gifts last night?Everyone have a great day, take care of yourselves.
Oh well - it didn't taste too bad....
^^
Stocking up on full body armor now, Brian?
Looks like this weekend is going to line up just like last weekend - Sunny and warm up to Friday, then showers and thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday... Can't complain from the business standpoint of the RR, though - if they can't play outside, they'll come ride the train. Makes it hard on the people who have to work on the ground, though...
well better get some more coffee and juice around for today the kitty left the coffee pot empty.might get some rain tonight or tommorow.will be nice for our yard to be green instead of brown.
stay safe

It's the middle of the week for some of us!
It is warm - to be hot. No water spots on the pavement.
Landlord cut down a lot of the underbrush and trees along our east lot line. It is fun to watch the squirrels peer down from about 15 feet in the air and the birds looking for their branches to land on that are now missing.
The rabbits now have to stand on their hind legs to hide behind the tree trunks that are left.
I am here first, so pushed the coffepot around, spilled coffee on counter, sprinkled oj all over (well! Got paw wet from trying to stir it and shook it off!) ate a bagel and licked the top of the butter!
I am pleased!

Aw, come on, Joe--we're (mostly) all adults here!

Without dragging anything out of the closet, I'll just say that I had some 'splaining to do. Once I 'splained, Sis-cat became less miffed.

Willy, don't worry about the kitty--she's just fine (we won't tell anyone about how she was purring when I smoothed her fur).
And, to everyone else--what happened in the closet will stay in the closet.

Of course! I just say that to be funny. I actually got it from my mom, but she better not laugh, because some day soon she may be a red hat lady!
I hope the kitty has calmed down! I was a little nervous to come in here today!
