Bagel w/kibble ran out.  So opened lots of cans of tuna, sardines, salmon.....

Tipped over a jar of mayo, bit open a loaf of bread (sorry about the bite marks on some of the bread)

Now the hard part - had to stick paw in mayo and mix it with above.  But it is ok - I washed my paws - extra well!  Got all the kitty litter out from between the toes.  Hope I can now get the mayo out of the same place.  But cleaning the extra off - I am now full and don't need more lunch.

Enjoy!

I did.

A guy walks in to the DD&CS...but nobody's home!  Looks like Mutt, Joe, and CopCar have things well in hand.  I'll just snag an OJ and a donut and be on my way for now.  Got a 11 hour shift today.  Be back after dinner!

Morning All,

Mutt, tell CW that she's got some willing souls ready to play cook every now and again if she needs a day off. Joe sounds like he's got lunch, so I'll work on a supper menu, and post it a little later.

Meanwhile, the weekend approaches! I've got a cousin headed in from IL that's meeting me out here. The weekend involves trips to the Loop (assuming they're running), the C&TS, and the San Luis Express over La Veta Pass. Should be a good weekend!

Anyways, I should be headed to work for now (not to the weekend yet). Hope you all have a great day! TTFN!

Okay,coffee,O.J. are out, along with the usual assortments of cold cereal and I believe
there should be some donuts out that somebody brought in late yesterday evening.
Plus there's also an assortment of different flavored bagels for those that want them.

For those that want a "traditional" hot breakfast,I think you're on your own this morning;
not sure when CW's coming in,or if she is at all. (needs some time off!)

Mookie, come back in here;your "oversized" cup is FULl,sitting by the hammock, along
with a kibble flavored bagel!!

Morning everyone.....

I've been in, I just haven't had anything to write up lately.  I've just been in the corner, having a meal and reading the paper.

Not too much new around the Mad City, Looks like the State Street Halloween bash might have some competition on a different street.  I'd just stay clear of the entire city on Halloween weekend, the city just might self-destruct.Whistling [:-^]

We are down to the last 110 FedEx trailers at work, should be done with these in two weeks or so.  After this the entire plant switches to building UPS trailers for a while.

Thanks for the food, CW, I grabbed a little bit of everything, was good, now off to bed.  Going back home to the parents for this weekend, might offend a few people in the process.  Cousin is having a wedding reception in a few weeks, I don't think I will attend, due to fuel costs, and I'm just not in the mood.

I won't make a mess for you then.  Here, let me get the rest of the dishes and get the coffee ready to be turned on in the morning.  I'll even set the box of donuts on the rack.  With that, I'm off to bed!  See you all "auf der morgen!"

I'll have a number 1, too.

Headed for the railroad tomorrow - but will be taking in our "Paddle and Rail" offering - a ride down the river in a kayak, then back up on the train.  Figured that if I'm trying to "sell" it to people riding the train, I should know what I'm talking about.  Looks to be fun, if a tad cool.  It's not a bad ride, though, and I don't figure to get wet unintentionally....

The rest of the weekend will be on the railroad, too.  I figure it's the end of the traditional summer season and it'll probably be busy.

A number 1 will work for me this evening.

CW, for all your hard work you are sure entitled to take some vacation time.  The problem would be that us fairly helpless in the kitchen regulars would probably get very hungry.  It would serve us right.  Wink [;)]

All righty, since I figured NO ONE would give me any lunch and or supper suggestions,
I have the following go on the range/stove for today:

1.  beef vegetable soup w/cornbread
2.  mild and firehouse hot chili
3.  leftover pizza pasta salad &
4.  leftover lasanga & garlic bread

Sure hope this menu meets with everyone's approval.

Morning all!  Joe sounds like things should start to look up a bit for your mom.  I hope that's the case!  CW I'll take some bacon, eggs, and sausage.  Glass of OJ, too.  Please give my fries to Matt!  Brian (IA) I can't wait to see your photos.  They should be great.  Glad Cajon Pass wasn't too spicy for you!  Wink [;)]

Morning All,

Well, did get to meet Tin Shoes yesterday. Oddly enough, he wasn't wearing his protective footwear. I don't think I've ever seen such scarring on an ankle before. I never knew cute little kitties could be so dangerous!

Had a nice lunch with Brian, but Alas! the loop didn't see fit to run any trains while he was here. I wonder if they're still having loco probs. Kind of a bummer.

Joe, I'm sorry to hear about your mom. Hope she has a speedy recovery.

Well, I've got to go take care of my pups, and then head off to work to finish a take-off. Hope you all have a great day, and best wishes for a safe final day of your journey, Brian.

TTFN!

Joe, thanks for making the coffee and juice this morning.  I'm running slightly
behind schedule this morning.  Have contracted a summer cold, and it's really
pulling me down.    Glad to hear that your mom is doing better, and will probably
be starting her rehab tomorrow.

Breakfast this morning is on the warmer bar:  bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage
sausage gravy, homemade biscuits, fried taters, and fries (especially for Matt),
oatmeal & toast.

Anyone have any requests/suggestions for lunch today?

blhanel  ;  You sure did some hard running . To bad you couldn't see the great action at the rail yard  ,just off 5th st . heading east . Our daughter lives  south of the river on Cheyanne st. on top of hill . Great view of the rail yard. Hope you all have a safe run to home. Respectfully , Switch8frg.

Good evening all, from the lovely town of Lexington, Nebraska!  Wow, it took me a good 15 minutes to catch up with this thread since I last viewed it, which was Friday evening.

The trip is going well, and here's a list of events that have transpired since I last posted:

Got a surprise phone call from MC at the Wheat Ridge Comfort Inn, enjoyed a nice chat with him.  Thanks MC, that made my evening!  And your advice was good, there certainly wasn't anything moving on UP through the canyons, but did see and get a couple of flying shots of action out around Rifle and points west.

Made it to California in two days- don't think I'll ever do that again, though.  Felt hung-over on Sunday morning.  Got my son and daughter-in-law's stuff packed, then ran out to Cajon to meet Chad and catch some great hard-working freight action.  Pictures soon to follow when I get home!

We headed back late Monday morning after some last-minute clean-up of the kids' apartment.  As a result, we didn't make it to Grand Junction until 1:30 in the morning this morning.

After a few hours of sleep we hit the road again and made it to Georgetown, where I met up with CopCarSS and enjoyed lunch.

Tomorrow, we should be able to finish the trip in fine fashion- only about eight hours of driving to go!
