I'll have a #6.  Got my own can of anchovies to finish it off.  Winds out of the SSW were supposed to bring us above freezing today.  Looks like the Houston contingent is sitting on the warm air.  Still a lot like Christmas here, but temps in the 40 for a week should take care of that.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the current situation is slightly worse that what I encountered when I *accidentally* closed the closet door a couple of months ago.

I'll take the Canadian Bacon to go, please.

Good Sunday morning to all!  Joe, thanks for getting the coffee, juice and cocoa ready this morning.  I always appreciate all the help I get from everyone in here!!Yeah!! [yeah]Thumbs Up [tup]

Sunday breakfast is on the warmer bar:  turkey bacon, sausage, pancakes, sausage gravy, homemade buttermilk biscuits, cinnamon rolls, scrambled eggs, fried taters.

Our day today is to be very beautiful, with plenty of sunshine!  And tomorrow is to be the same, before a chance of showers comes back in Tuesday.

Everyone have a great day, have a safe, uneventful trip to and from church services, and I'll see you back in here around two o'clock for Sunday Dinner.  On the SUNDAY DINNER menu today:  roast beef w/potatoes, onions and carrots, cole slaw, your choice of green beans, peas, broccoli, brussels sprouts, rice w/peas & mushrooms and corn.

Desserts today:  Dutch apple pie, pecan pie, chocolate cake and chocolate pie, and your choice of ice creams or Cool Whip or Readi-Whip as toppings.

Good Sunday morning everyone! Joe, thanks for getting the coffee started. We too, are experiencing some mild weather here in the Dakotas. At last report we had a temp of 35 degrees here in Sioux Falls, and it is supposed to warm up to 46 later this afternoon. We have just a bare trace of snow on the ground here, and I am kind of wondering if we might end up having a "brown" Christmas here with no snow on the ground. I wouldn't mind having a few inches of fresh snow on the ground for the photographic opportunities that it would present, but otherwise it is not something that I particularly care for.

Greetings from sunny Utica, NY.

Things went well on the Polar Express last night - hopefully things will be the same tonight.

Pizza was delicious last night, but had to settle for cheese, and hope I got there before all of the elves.....

Off to visit a fellow railroader's layout.

Okay, I got SUNDAY DINNER ready before I figured.  So, everything is on the warmer bar, and the desserts are in the cooler, and the Cool Whip and Reddi-Whip are also in the cooler.

I've got the next round of roast, potatoes, carrots ready for supper.  And we still have plenty of the desserts I made for today, so grab a plate (or plates) and get yourself to the warmer bar, and fill your plate(s).

Sure hope that Joe found his two plates in the fridge for work tonight!

Has anyone heard from Kozzie lately?  I emailed him about 1 1/2 weeks ago, but haven't heard anything from him.  Hope everything is all right with him and family down under.

Good Evening!

The last full week of school before Christmas begins tomorrow. Then it will only be half days next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for exams and after that Christmas vacation goes through January 4th. Of course the teachers are still piling on the work as if the end of the semester was still a month away. I have tests tomorrow, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. You'd think they would spend that time helping us review for exams, but that would be crazy.

It really doesn't feel/look like Christmas is coming. The ground is brown and today's high was 53 degrees. I give our chance of a white Christmas in Omaha this year only 20%.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a terrific week! Cool [8D] Hopefully Mookie's anger with Brian and Dan has cooled down a bit!!

//Notices rope hanging from ceiling//

Hmm, what's this??

//Gives rope big yank, man in camo falls from ceiling on top of Randy, both fall to floor, Randy untangles and slowly gets up//

Oohh, ow, that's what that was.  I need to learn I'm no cartoon...  Man, them tin boots hurt!!

//Nudges Dan with shoe//  You alright?  //groan//  Yeah, you're alright...

Not much new happening in this neck of the woods, made the mistake of going Christmas shopping Saturday, too much traffic for my tastes!!  Got two more people off my lists, just have one more to take care of, and I'm done for the year.  Think I'll have to head to the Duck Inn for the last present, though, can't think of what else to get them.

Will take a meal, and some Advil for the headache I recieved for pulling the rope.  Think Dan might want some too, luckily I broke his fall........

See everyone later, especially Tuesday, wouldn't want to miss that.....

Well, this should make things interesting, at least it's not real bullets. (I checked, CW, it's water-based paint, will be back in to clean up the mess.)

A good Monday morning to everyone out there! It's a bit on the cool side here in my hometown, we have a clear sky and 16 degrees.......no wind to speak of. It's supposed to warm up to about 40 later this afternoon.

Today is "Christmas Goodies" day at my part-time employer, and I was up until well after 11:00 last night putting together two pans of my famous, world class cinnamon rolls, and I will be pulling the first pan out of the oven in about 15 minutes. I will leave both pans of cinnamon rolls on the table in the break room at Howes Oil Company before I head for work this morning.

I have the time to produce a third pan of cinnamon rolls, and I will leave them in the Diner for everyone to enjoy. I get 16 rolls to a pan, and you folks better grab one while they are still warm!

Good Monday morning, everyone!  Mookie, glad your bronchitis is better!  You must have gotten plenty of rest this weekend.

Dan and Randy, hope you are both all right, after the "fall"!  Randy, since the paint for the paintball gun is water-based, you're forgiven.  And thank you for offering to clean up the mess from it!!

Ray, thanks for the cinnamon rolls this morning.  The coffee is ready, and fresh oj is made, along with hot tea, hot chocolate and hot cocoa.  To go along with Ray's cinnamon rolls, you will find hot muffins on the warmer bar, along with Larry's bagels, bacon, sausage, homemade buttermilk biscuits w/sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, and hash browns.

I've got lots to do today, so everyone please keep things going in here, and DON'T FORGET TO CLEAN UP ANY MESSES YOU MAKE WITH THE PAINT GUN!!

Zzz [zzz]

Go ahead and get me good with the paint balls, I couldn't dodge them if I wanted to this morning.  This past weekend had to have been the busiest I've had since the kids were in high school.  I barely even had time to talk to my 'spy' on the phone about what UP was sending my way- never mind even thinking about grabbing the camera and heading down there.

OK, where did my recliner get moved to?  Oh yeah, it's over there...

You know, we were looking at the sides of several of our cars yesterday and noticing that they'd been paintballed.....

(It actually happened last summer - a young lady paintballed the entire train on the way by, unfortunately tagging a couple of the passengers who were standing in the open doors of the baggage car).

It was a beautiful day for the Polar Express yesterday - until the sun went down and the temperature plummetted.  Hadn't grabbed my gloves before the first run, definitely had them in my pocket for the second.

Today I woke up to rain.  At least it's not freezing.

One more set of trips for me next Saturday - then the season is definitely over till spring.

Almost time for lunch...
