On the other hand, despite my English forebears, I prefer sugar in my tea...

Oh oh: someone left the juke box on, playing "Locomotion" all night? Good tune.

Now, coffee is on, bacon, sausage are frying, eggs ready to fix according to order.
Cantaloupe and watermelon are cubed, ready and waiting to be eaten. Since I'm
fixing breakfast, Ed, will you clean up?

How about both? CW did a good job on making the beef burritos enchilada style:
not quite like Tumbleweed's, but very passable. But the burritos come with
cheese anyway, along with the beef. Or you can get them with beans, no meat.
Don't care for those. But you better pass out the gas masks with the bean
burritos. [:D]

Put me down for two.... (and some Pepto on the side...)

Didn't even get a chance for a coffee break this morning. Sheesh! Never mind that I don't drink coffee. Still want the break!

I'm having a PULLMAN breakfast this morning. The ham and eggs combination platter. Horseshoe cut of grilled ham, 2 eggs over easy, and hashbrowned potatoes. And it's being served on PULLMAN china.

Coming right up Joe. How do you want your eggs? Hash browns sound good with
some sausage and biscuits.

Going to the grocery in a little bit and get the fixings for beef burritos enchilada style!!

How many people do I need to fix for? [angel]

season, turn, turn, turn. " Both locomutt and I love that song. (And I do know the
biblical reference.) [angel]

I believe Pete Seeger wrote the song. The version most people are familiar with was done by the Byrds. I have a Seeger album with that song on it. Based on the Bible's Book of Ecclesiastes, it was also recorded by Judy Collins in the early 60's. The folk and rock renditions are quite different.

Turn Turn Turn by the Byrds around the spring of '66. Makes me think of Chicago Union Station. Available on the web. Do a Google and you can download it.

Del Shannon=Late '50's on the North Shore Line
Early Beatles=End of North Shore Line during salvage operations.
Early Beach Boys, Dixie Cups,Neil Sadaka=Camping in the Dunes, listening to the South Shore at night.
Anything '65=Denver Zephyr
The Byrds=Burlington Steam trips 4960
Simon & Garfunkel=GTW Steam Trips to South Bend
Spanky and Our Gang=Trips on the Rock Island
The Temptations=When I hired out on the CNW
5th Dimension=hen I went into passenger service on the CNW
Carley Simon=When I quit the CNW
More to follow if ya like.

....Yes, rock and roll of 50's...Great...! Good stuff. My era. And of course Del Shannon, can hear it playing in my mind now....Also great...! Just a few years later attended a live show at the [then] International Hotel in Vegas to a live Elvis concert and dinner....Still have the record and jacket material that was handed out with the dinner....What a show..2 hrs. practically non stop....He was the greatest in the 50's rock and roll....and the orchestra behind him was superb.
