It's so hot and muggy, we're just having sandwiches or something along that order
for supper. Too hot to have the range on!! Looked to the northwest of us, looks like
we could have something blow in later.

The thermometer is quickly reaching 90 today, 89.6 right now, humidity is well over 90% last I checked. Give me a glass of SWEET iced tea, please! Oh good, a cloud... now it's gone away. Oh well, I bet we have a thunderstorm before the day's over to cool it off for the night, just to heat up again tomorrow. And I wanted to go fishing today[:(]

Here it is Satuday afternoon, 12:40, and i'm just getting into the diner. I'll take some
of that birthday cake: don't even care what flavor it is, I'll eat it. Along with anything
COOL. It's back to HOT AND HUMID here in Louisville. Only stepped outside once,
and that was to get the morning paper off the front porch. Too muggy outside for
me. How's the weather elsewhere?

I'll have a TAAAALL glass of lemonade, please, along with a tuna sandwich on
whole wheat bread, please.

Gee...I come in here looking for a healthy midnight snack, and all they have left is birthday cake and the odor of hot peppers (those hot dogs sounded good, though!).

Tree, how will you leaf if you don't drink at least one cup of coffee. (be sure you put.........cream in it!)

As one goes through life, there are those foods you never want to try (but eventually do and find out the aren't so bad), and those foods you try and vow never to touch again. for me that's olives, cooked spinach, beets, and coffee.

On the other hand, despite my English forebears, I prefer sugar in my tea...

Taco Salad! Taco fixin's (browned beef, tomatos, lettuce, cheese, taco chips, taco sauce (choose your heat, I go for mild) and Catalina dressing), all in proper proportion. Good stuff!

Larry, I also go for the mild sauce; Walt always goes for the HOT sauce. That's too
hot for me. Tamales are soooo good!! Like them on the mild side also. The only
thing I want spicey hot is my chili. Also prefer the soft dough tortillas and soft taco
shells. I'd prefer the food IN ME, not ON MY CLOTHES!! [angel]

I can eat an enchilada - they have meat and sauce. Burritos have refried beans and maybe meat and sauce. Gag....It is the refried beans, which to me are just horrid beans schmushed.....enchilada can be just cheese or meat and cheese and I can sorta, kinda get them down ok. Depends on the sauce they put over them.

Tacos are good - tortillas with just meat, cheese and tomatoes are great. Just the Beans!

Good Friday morning. Everything's too quiet in here. Got the coffee going. Usual
breakfast items going, getting prepared to you hungry people to come in for
breaskfast.

Think I'll fix up a BIG mess of fish and mac & cheese for supper. Maybe have
sandwiches for lunch today.

Kozzie, I'll let someone else explain the the differences between the mexican
dishes here: because I'm not really sure there's all that much difference, if any.[angel]

Always go by the publishers date. You can put them in order that way. This series isn't too bad about order, the main characters do follow a kind of a story line, but if you read out of order, it isn't going to spoil the series. But she will introduce a character in one book and they will be back in a following book - so order is nice.

Have you seen the diet he has those cats on!!!!! To die for!!!!!! (probably very close to reality!)

Mook

What Mookie posted is correct, but in most of the books(The Cat Who)there's a list on one of the flyleaves of the book, generally is the order in which they were written.

And Mookie, just remember he's this richest man in "Moose County" 400 miles north of anywhere. I wish CW & I could AFFORD some of the food;for us,let alone the cats & dog.

I never leave home w/o a book. I have been "caught" too many times with too much time. Read only paperbacks, so they are toteable.

Try putting garlic salt in the beans: not so much singing going on!! And not as
much "smell" in the air!![}:)][:p]

Mookie, when I worked at the bank, and when I worked for the Alsac (fundraising
for St. Jude's Children's Hospital), I hated it when the computers went down! Half
the time, I didn't have a book with me I could read: sat twiddling my thumbs.[angel]

Larry,
There's nothing wrong with the fact you put sugar in your tea. When I drink tea,I have to have sugar in it. Now coffee,on the other hand, has to be black!
And I'm with you on not liking spinach(Popeye I'm not) but the rest sounds good.[:)]

I know I am supposed to like cream, but it just isn't my thing. I like coffee black, but the way they mutilate....er.....make it most places, I need a dash of cream to kill the burnt taste.

Visited Wisconsin one time - lovely state - but it was real cream and real butter on and in everything. And everything was full breakfast, rolls and coffee at 10, big dinner, rolls and coffee at 2 and big supper! Rolls and milk before bed. Delicious, but if I would have stayed more than a few days, would have had to roll home!

Puter Pouting this morning - came in at usual 5:45 - puter dead! Took nap, had coffee, read a little on my John Grisham book - finally puter appeared at 8 am when the rest of the world stirred. Hate that!

I owe, I owe, so off to work I go....
