Personally, I wouldn't be interested. Don't need that dark poetry or scarey
stories. Real life's scarey and dark enough at times.

If I started a Halloween thread for stories and dark poetry or anything else scarry, would you be interested? I would start it closer to Halloween of course.

Mookie, glad to hear you enjoyed daughter, grandson and just think how sore you'd
be if you had participated in driver's class!! Makes me hurt just to think of it!

For breakfast we'll have:

bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, fried potatoes, fresh Roma tomatoes
and orage juice: have two kinds: pulp and no-pulp.

They sure would! He looks to be about Matt's size - And boy is he wound up!

And I forgot - they also brought their 3 mo old pocket pomeranian - Foxy. She is adorable, but is like picking up a very small sack of sticks with some fur around them. But she runs with all the kids - even at the risk of getting squashed!

OK - first in, first to complain!

Have daughter here from Bemidji with 5 year old grandson. Spent afternoon at one of the newer parks - better than the wood swings of my childhood.

Lovely day - sunny with great breeze and cool - in the high 60's.

Didn't think about it but sat on some comfortable benches while grandson played and now have a bright red back of neck and backs of ears. Look like a bad paint job - or at least unfinished.

Went to Driver's karate class - daughter is into Tae Kwan Do, so she worked out with the class - and I can barely walk this morning! Just think if I would have participated with them!!!! I babysat the 90 min and was so exhausted from watching, I could barely make it home and to bed! (Or maybe it was all that sun and fresh air. ) And there is no coffee made yet!

However! She did take me to watch trains for about an hour! [8D]

Great Day!

Mookie

Almost forgot-we should have onion rings, cherry cheesecake, and Chicago deep dish pizza on the menu too!

At this rate it looks like the Depot Diner's going to have to expand to the "Union Station Steakhouse"...

Hey, I'm a golden oldie!

Darn! Green's my favorite color (except on diner food that should be some other color!).

Let's have some pork chops and stuffing today. Maybe some boiled cabbage also.
How about apple pie for dessert.

Why must we be so cruel to food? What did the egg do that requires beating? Why should we whip the cream? Why should we batter the fish?

Society is getting so violent towards each other that we are even taking it out on poor defenseless food. What has the world come to?

Joe,

Thanks .

What goes with the brownies? Biscuits and sausage patties? While we were
cleaning last week, Walt found some pictures buried under some stuff; I looked
at them, and decided I wanted to try for photo of the day, since I had taken some
of the pictures. And mutt helped with the caption. He actually had that tidbit of
info buried in one of his articles. So thanks goes to both of us, actually.

Well I went squirrel hunting last night, I shot 2, my dad got 3. So sometime we're going to have those to eat, which sounds a LOT better than "hagis"!

Anyone ever had pumpkin butter? Good stuff. Even better than apple butter.

I have had hagis and it tastes great. Even though it consists of a sheeps stomach, with other innerds plus oatmeal and spices stuffed in it; it is still very delicious.

Well, turnout was less than spectacular for the Booster Club party Saturday night. The fire department didn't make as much money as we would have liked, but our loss is your gain. The leftover roastbeef is warming as we speak, with some new spuds and green beans. Hot beef sandwiches are the lunch special. Mookie - your booth is reserved! It may be leftovers, but it'll be GOOOOOD!

Larry, sure hope you have enough beef gravy to go over the sandwiches and mashed
potatoes!!
