Yeah, well, that's a feline for you. Come to think of it, I don't feel altogether safe in here.

Cherokee woman, I've been making the cornmeal mush, which is why I haven't been in the diner for breakfast. It is great. I used to have to ditch a lot of leftover cornbread, so this is a good alternative. Thanks for the recipe.
Got honey?

Naturally. And bananas. But I'll be in the diner for lunch. What's on the menu?

Tonight I will be putting on a nice piano concert.

Beethoven: Appassionata Sonata in Fminor
Mozart: Turkish Rondo
Chopin: 12 Etudes Op.12
Liszt: Hungarian Rhapsody No.2
Rachmaninoff: Prelude in C sharp minor
Little (me): Faerie Sonata in Aminor (no. 2)
Request: Bach two-part inventions for piano.....

Piano - I have harped enough this morning! Silly fur!
You have a choice for Bach. I can play them on the piano or I can bring in a harpsichord.

Good morning, everyone! Mookie, don't worry about
what your fur looks like this morning. Glad you are
here with us. For breakfast this morning, we will have:

bacon
sausage
biscuits and gravy
oatmeal
toast
Cheerios (especially for Matt & us folks who need to watch
the cholesterol)
fried potatoes

See someone turned on the trains. Good. Bergie, aren't
you staying for a bit of breakfast? Next time you come in,
Bergie, bring the new guys in with you.

Have to make doctor appt for Vic - he opened his mouf too wide to eat a Tommy Burger and unhinged it! Kibbles to eat until next week!

Newspaper finally early - let's see - news, no. Local news - no. Business news, no. Sports news NO!.....ah......Garfield! [:D]

This kinda got started over at Model RRer forum on the Hobby Shop Horror thread, but instead of hijacking that thread I thought I would also bring it over here...

those of us on the west coast know we have access to the best burger places on earth. But which is best?

Best hamburger in the Universe is:
Tommy's double cheeseburger with a side of Chili-fries
[dinner][dinner][dinner][dinner]

Second place at a fraction of a hairline behind...
In-N-Out Double-Double with a side of fresh cut french fries, the best on the Planet
[dinner][dinner][dinner]

I've had Whataburgers to those little hockey puck Sliders at White Castle..all pail before the mighty Tommyburger, those who have partaken of the tommy Chili-deathburger or those just cut fries from In-N-Out know what I'm talking about

[bow][bow][bow][bow]

   Have fun with your trains

Tonight my brakes will be curling blue clouds of brake smoke and screaming beeping sounds . . . . .
"There is nothing in life that compares with running a locomotive at 80-plus mph with the windows open, the traction motors screaming, the air horns fighting the rush of incoming air to make any sound at all, automobiles on adjacent highways trying and failing to catch up with you, and the unmistakable presence of raw power. You ride with fear in the pit of your stomach knowing you do not really have control of this beast." - D.C. Battle [Trains 10/2002 issue, p74.]

I've always found the crowd is pretty well behaved. For those time they're not, there's always that fellow we call "Bergie" lurking over in the corner, behind the O Scale layout...

Is that who's been hiding back there? I was wondering why I felt like someone
is watching me while I'm cooking and baking. I sometimes felt that it was
locomutt making sure I was cooking, and not goofing off.

BTW, supper tonight will be: BLTs and french fries. Been too busy today
to plan anything else for supper. And I have to get everything cleaned up
before "Lost" comes on TV tonight. Do not miss that program.

So we have the K-Mart Sears Lands End or KMSLE Railroad?

Not quite. More like BLESCT Blue Light Special on Sears Craftsman Tools Railroad.

Off to look for potato burritos, chile rellenos and a diet Coke infusion[|)][|)][|)]

MC, if you are really looking for chile rellenos, the 404 Club in Denver, if it's still there. 404 Broadway (N). I haven't been there in 20 years, but they were good back then.

Uhh ... no! Not even close MW. I am not TC or MA, but believe whatever. Now I had my tough times with other people when I first entered the forum, but this dude last night did some stuff I would never do. I might not have much class, but I at least have more than MA.

Yeah, it's too bad. Oh well, life goes on at the diner, doesn't it? We see em' blow into town, raise a fuss, and are gone as fast as they came. Luckily for us we have a good sheriff .

There are a few individuals that keep returning under different names, post a few times and leave. Some have identities that they pick back up use a couple of times and then lay to rest for awhile. If you look at the writing styles, the relationships become apparent. The TF22/KMC/CD/CR is the easiest to pick up on. There are a few others. I'm fairly certain last night's vistor has been here before too, around the same time last month.
