We're drizzly this evening, and probably into tomorrow morning. I biked to work today, but was rescued for the homeward trip (which was okay--we had other errands to do that involved both of us). Lows tonight around 40--they're talking about a chance of snow for Sunday.
Frustration--bike computer is down; can't find problem. Odometer is stuck, among other things. I'm just a couple hundred miles shy of 100000000000. How should I be writing that, Brian?
New b/p meds obtained today. Look out!
look forward to seeing the pics!
hey whats for supper? we have some ham & beans and cornbread tonight.going to be a wet day thursday.
mookie will be getting my hat on friday.

Heard that places up in the foothills saw as much as 14 inches. Meanwhile, glad to see you back, Chad. Did you have a good trip? Well, I'm still unburying myself from a pile of papers that accumulated on my desk during my sisters' visits. I suppose I should set about the business of tackling that. Hope you all have a great day!

Sure did Chris. When I get my pix back I'll write up a trip report.

Riding the Utyica train with a big 300+ group from several NRHS chapters from Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse. Hop on Amtrak to get to Utica then transfer to the ADK.
I've got a set of tin boots I'll sell ya...
Hmmmmm...I think I'd take a look at what's available on EBay before I bought Brian's Medieval Footwear...those shoes have seen a LOT of action. You'll note that they have quite a few gouges in them that almost look like they were generated by a kitten...

Datafever, will you stop tracking blood all over the diner floor? Looks like Mookie did another number on ankles again.
Not much new here, other than I have overtime on Friday this week. Should be fun.... Maybe......
Be back for a late dinner, CW. See everyone later.

thanks for the pictures.mookie matt will take you to the park if you have the energy.
A short report on last week in Iowa.
Iowa Northern owns the ex-Amtrak locomotive. The rest of the consist was three Amtrak coaches and an office car recently acquired by the Iowa Interstate. The train was handily parked right next to the hotel.
Ex Rock Island Depot at Vinton, IA. Looks like they never left.
Off the platform of the office car west of Cedar Rapids. Pretty good track on the Iowa Interstate.
FRA certified ready to run China built. If you want one for your back yard, it's for sale.
Brian and Joanie stopped by for coffee after the first day session. Nice visit and a thanks for the print of the C&NW heritage unit.
Our friend Mark was in Wednesday, but had a business meeting that evening and had to depart right away to work on the process of relocating himself and family. He has landed an excellent position with a construction engineering firm that does a big business in transportation infrastructure. The work load may preclude visits to the DD&CS, but perhaps in time...
Beside the trains rides, there were excellent presentations on Iowa Steam and Electric Railroads, past and presents, and great conversations with many old and new friends

juice and coffee are ready to go.hey larry any chance getting the bride and groom on the platform of the car or engine with a sign "just Married" beside them? just an idea. hope the weather is good for you this weekend.
Snotty here! Went home before lunch yesterday with an allergy attack. Took a sleepy allergy pill and don't remember the afternoon. But feel almost normal today. Had 5 inches of snow north of us - sandhills are alive with the sound of snow.
Raining - lightly. Not much else to happen.

Jay, I get the headwinds both ways, too--and they're a lot more noticeable on a bike!
Still get decent mileage, though--just takes a tad longer.

I don't know what they did this time--I should have suspected that something was afoot when I saw the telephone instructions for a Code Blue crisis in my examination room--right next to where the phone used to be!

You must have the right connections. I always seem to get headwinds both out and back.
....Mid 50's and low 60's in our Muncie area today....Heard over my communication radio early this moring we received a bit over 3" of rain over night...Went out and checked my gauge this morning and it showed 2.8" for my location just outside the city...Still quite a bit.
About noon it cleared a bit and no rain this afternoon. Tomorrow to be upper 60's or low 70's and sunny. Hope that is true as I have yard to mow.

A- The further away from Lincoln, the better...
Still snowing (one freeway screwup out our window tonight, so far), 4-6 inches tonight. (Nothing like what LC and Tree saw)
Frosted Feathers
Wet weather has passed us after dumping a half inch or more since yesterday afternoon (probably closer to a full inch). No snow through the weekend; it must not want to go east of the asparagus.
(I understand asparagus is best when cooked on the Front Range?)
Just got back from the cardiologist. The picture they made when they drew my blood was very impressive. The b/p, however, was not.
