Joe, supper sounds good: make my pork chop well, but not burnt. And the peach
cobbler sounds very good. Any vanilla ice cream to put on top of the cobbler? Ice
cream sounds really good and soothing for the throat (it's kind of scratchy from the
dry heaves and coughing).

Best stay out of the diner tonight, Cher!

When I drop in I'll bring over the ice cream and a hug.

Good morning! Coffee on - Mookie got up a little early this morning, so have my happy fur on.

Talked to at least two people that are doing remodeling on their kitchens.

Mook thought about that for a minute and decided if she and driver had their own house, she would also remodel the kitchen. Get rid of all those old appliances and countertops. Then install only one time saving device - a phone and a phone book.

Breakfast on the patio this morning - last of the nice mornings as the heatwave comes in next week. Off the menu - driver's cooking and he is a good short order cook.

Short day for me so have a good weekend y'all.....

Bring on the coffee! If driver is cooking, could he fix me a BLT?

Carl: the dry heaves are GONE. Hope they stay gone, too. And thanks for the hug and
the ice cream!!

For Mookie - The only thing(s) worse than remodleling a kitchen are moving and trying to decipher my kid's math books.

Sun's out here today, but the "end of civilization as we know it" is forecast for the weekend; God, I love TWC - nothing like exaggeration to go with a.m. coffee! Pizza for dinner tonight - it's Friday and I'll let someone else cook (LOL)

Joe, it's also good for a big ole pot of vegetable soup and a pone of cornbread to go with
either the soup or the stew.

Have the freezer full of cool refreshments for Sunday...we're supposed to get over 90. I still plan on biking to work that day (the ride home after dark ought to be enjoyable, anyway).

Sunday is my last day of work before vacation...we'll be spending about a week of it in a county where there are no railroads (left) at all. I'll bring my bike for riding on a rail-trail, though.

If not, how's this for a menu?

Meat loaf

green beans
corn
Plus, whatever else we can come up with[:D]

boy did it rain over the night... depending on where you were in Philly, you got between 1 and 5 inches overnight, much of it within an hour according to local weather... massive amount of flash flooding, portions of I-76 closed to a mudslide, and a decent sized sink hole... flooding was so bad even a fire truck got stuck trying to rescue someone

Man,that doesn't sound good. We had maybe upwards to an 1" of rain,
and some possible flashflooding, but that is the worst I've heard.

Okay Joe!! I thought you and Matt would be here. Did everybody decide to abandon
the place? Come on in, we're going to have a birthday party for Nance. We have
a sheet cake, which is divided into thirds: white/chocolate/black forrest. And lots
of ice cream[8D]

Tomorrow's blueberries, fresh from western Michigan, will be picked today! I hope it's cooler on that side of the pond.

Also, pray for plenty of trains to intercept en route!

Hey, is that Ed coming in? Haven't seen him for a while...must have been on vacation.

I'm with you Joe. Can't handle the liver [:(] - but chicken noodle soup sounds great [:p] [:)]

Just had my early morning cup of coffee - the first for the day - ahh! [:p][:)] I think I'll have to compare coffee notes with Mookie. [;)]

Hey you guys, [:)] we're still dry as chips down here.[:(] Could do with some of that rain pouring down over Philly, Mike. We finally got 4 millimetres (less than 1/4 inch) overnight but that hardly settles the dust.

p.s. 'Off topic' as far as food goes...from what I read in today's newspaper looks like we "down under" lot are going to be doing closer business with you "up over" folk. The Free Trade Agreement is a hot topic down here..plenty of "for and against"...
