Good morning everyone! Well, hope everyone had a good weekend.

Coffee, juice are made, and have the prerequisite hot water for tea or
hot cocoa, and hot milk for hot chocolate.

Breakfast will be: sausage, sausage gravy & biscuits with hash browns,
oatmeal & toast. The oatmeal today is apple-cinnamon flavored.

Been a very pleasant weekend here. Saturday was really nice: warm, with
a gentle breeze, and yesterday morning, had rain then sunshine and a cool
breeze from about 10 a.m. on through the rest of the day. Not too sure about
how the weather here will be today.

So sad to hear about the ABC anchor Bob Woodruff and his camera man.
The latest I just heard, is that they have been flown to an American hospital
in Germany. Both of them are in "very serious, but stable condition." Let
us all keep them and their families in our prayers.

Mookie, thank you for bringing in that wonderful smelling egg/potato
casserole. Think we'll add that to the menu!! Tastes great, too (just
had to try it!)![dinner]

Well, looks like we're having a slow morning in here.

Lunch today will be: leftover chicken & dumplings for those who were not
here yesterday. Others who were, can have more, if they wish; or, they can
have some burgers/cheeseburgers w/fries and cole slaw or a garden salad.

Thinking about country fried steak w/home fries and milk gravy, and peas
and corn as side dishes. What does everyone think about that?

That's a good joke, Mookie! No, it's country meaning living in the country vs. living
in the city. And the steak is from a cow, whom I did NOT know personally.

Desserts for today will be: apple, peach and blackberry cobblers w/ice cream.

Ice this morning (schools all closed), with almost a third of an inch of rain total for the past 24+ hours. Right now it's 47. Crazy, Crazy, Crazy.

Some "regular day off." Started out at 3:30 AM with a gentleman who slipped on the ice, then around noon, a chimney fire. Plus, MR, Trains, and Classic Trains all in the mailbox. I haven't gotten much of my planned work done yet...

Sorry - wasn't in the Diner for lunch. Took advantage of a free lunch at a local church. Supper sounds good though...

Refference to the "barge",crews supposedly arrived on scene today;seems that
they are talking several weeks to totally get rid of the problem. I guess we'll just
have to wait and see.(or was that sea ?)

Sorry I didn't make it in for breakfast of lunch. Got up at 2am to leave at 3am to drive to the airport in cold, rainy New Hampshire to fly out here to warmer, rainy San Jose. I'm out here until Friday to learn more about Specialized bikes at company expense! I'll try to pop in when I can but we've got the next three days pretty well packed. Then on Friday we leave SJ at 8am and get back to NH at 10PM (another looooooong day[%-)][|)] )

Back again--

Car may be repaired as soon as tomorrow. Still runs OK, trunk opens well and closes same as always. The mechanic (whom we've trusted for decades!) took a look this afternoon.

Cher, are you serving this non-turkey greecey steak in china? Or just in japan it was fried in? I'm hungary (and a little chile, too!).

Fine, wet snow for most of the day today. I was being "observed" at work; gave a great performance.

Carl, the supper tonight is being served on the Corel dishes it's served on
every night. Maybe one of these days, I'll unearth my Blue Willow dishes.
Unfortunately, I don't have any railroad china. But, even if I did, not sure I'd
want any of them broken!! (I have a tendency to drop plates, bowls, cups.

Glad to know that your car is checking out A-OK.

Good morning everyone. Coffee is ready, juice is in the cooler, and breakfast
is laid out on the breakfast warmer bar: turkey bacon, sausage, sausage gravy,
homemade biscuits, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, bread by the toaster for toast;
blueberry muffins.

Hope everyone has a good morning, and I'll see you all after I finish with the
Produce.

My brother was a stand-up comedian until he got hungry, even with all the tomatoes they threw at him. Always good to laugh - especially in the morning!

Ok - did Tree and Joe leaf together? (see, we really are related, at least in spirit!)

Anyone know where our famous duo went?

I just typed my stubby finners off, so need to rest - guess since Tree isn't here I can use the rocker and the electrified blanket. Getting a little colder. Guess winter may arrive fairly soon. Been a great fall.

Need a blueberry muff.....in for comfort. I love blueberry!

Sorry, too, that I missed the big event. Glad to be in on the celebration, though.

Yes, Larry, it IS lunchtime!! And for your lunch(dinner) enjoyment, we have
the following: beef stew, cornbread, garden salad or caesar salad.

The celebration cakes are: chocolate w/chocolate frosting; yellow cake w/
white frosting, and white cake w/white frosting (specially for JHH). Also
have plenty of ice cream: vanilla, neopolitan, chocolate, death by chocolate,
Snickers ice cream, and Oreo ice cream.

Believe the decorations in here look very nice. Mookie, you did a great job
with the decorations!!

Now, I just need to figure out something for supper tonight!! Maybe
Italian spaghettie w/ Texas garlic toast, and garden/Caesar salad.
Know I have plenty of the cakes to last until late tonight.
