Yeah, the humidity has been very bad out here as well.

When you say tea, do you mean canned tea, herbal tea, or what? Because I drink a lot of REAL tea, not that canned stuff.

Hey Doc! Wondered where you were.....

Could have used you this weekend - had a little trouble keeping my eyelids from slamming shut and my mouf dropping open. Even while watching trains - (it is soooo relaxing!) Can't believe I didn't get whiplash! [:D]

At least we can't complain about how dry it is. 2 2/3" of rain since the 13th. A couple of towns got hit so hard yesterday that they were calling in neighboring fire departments to help pump basements. Flooded streets in the aftermath of scattered severe T'storms are becoming common. We got 3/4" in less than 45 minutes a few nights ago.

Nice quiet day here at the house, at least so far. I have custody of Daughter's Dalmatian for the next few weeks. She leaves for Zambia on Friday.

Gee - new house, birthday. "N" is a busy girl!

Now, for something cool to drink.

...and don't forget the birthday cake with Norange decorations!

After a bike trip to Elmhurst in a few minutes (12 miles, plus or minus, round trip), I'll be back for an icy cold Diet Dew! Temp is currently "only" 87 degrees. Nice breeze, too.

...One must choose to go through such a grind to have a chance and for the survivor, it's a winning pot. I'm no expert for sure, just recently have watched some of it on TV and it can get interesting.

7.5 million, and the top 500 or so positions got money out of the deal. I think there were around 6,000 entries for the 10,000 dollar buy-in main event. ESPN is to start brodcasting this years' tourney every Tuesday night, I guess.

Good money, but you gotta go through 6,000 people and two weeks solid of just playing poker.

Yes, plenty of birthday wishes here for the birthday gal!! Know she'll
have a good one!

Breakfast this morning, since it's so warm & muggy, will be: cereal with
your choice of fruit in it: apples, peaches, blueberries, bananas, whatever
you want in your cereal.

Think lunch today will be: hamburgers w/sauteed onions. (Will be better
for you to go back to work afterwards: you won't have the raw onion breath.)

Will accept suggestions for supper tonight until noon .

Thought I'd drop in before I call it a night, and have an ice cream sandwich.
Think that'll cool me off a bit. Our high today didn't get all that high, with all
the cloud cover, but think the humidity must have been at least 97%: at
least, that's what it felt like.

Joe, I believe I know who you're talking about, and I just want to say,
[bday] to _ _ _ _.

Well, it tried to rain in Madison today about 2pm, but didn't get much. Had made a decent showing at the poker table today, finished 19th out of about 64 people. I've got a long way to go before I can get a chance to win a trip to Vegas.

Speaking of Las Vegas, the World Series of Poker finished up this week, all I know is someone from Austrailia won the main event, and Doyle Brunson won his record tenth bracelet this year in the $5k no-limit Hold'em.

I'll take a light dinner tonite, we tied the record high here yesterday, and came close today, it's preeeeety warm out there.

...I had mentioned Indianapolis was to get over 2" of rain yesterday...well on the late news last night I saw pictures of cars flooded up to the windows and quite a few situations like that and then I heard them say some areas of Indy got over 4" of the stuff and we here just about 60 straight miles north, got about a quarter of an inch in the same time period....

Oh my did I have an interesting day today. First I woke up at around 12:15pm (Eastern Standard Time) and got ready to go to my softball game. When I got there it was raining a bit but, the game was still on. So........we played right until the top of the 2nd inning I mean out of no were it started to rain hard, withing 2 mins the streets of Norristown (aka Little Philly) were rushing like rageing rivers of death. I mean I'v never ever seen anything like it before, I felt as though I was in torrnado ally or something. Anyway, one of our players was coming to home plate when the rain made the dirt mudy and he sliped and feel down hard. Then I hear my name getting called very loudly SARAH!!!!!!! (One of the team members called me over since I have certifcation in Safety and First Aid, plus anout three months ago I helped one of our team mates who got a ball beemed in her arm) So I ran over to his aid. It turns out that he was ok but really muddy. lol So, we went home and while I was driving the roads in Norristown were flooded out completely and I have to tell you people in Norristown or I should say in PA don't know how to drive under those conditiions. So (this will make railfan619 happy) I charged through lots of puddles today in my truck. I also got my hair wet, which is something I didn't want to do.

Well right now I'm not doing too much sitting on the computer doing nothing but listing to Dvorak's symphony # 7 done my the ever so great Philadelphia Orchestra. I'm about to pop in some Gustav Mahler symphony # 2. So with this I'll say to CW that I think I'm ready for the o so wonerdful fried chicken, homemade biscuits, gravy, mashed potatoes now. I think I'll have a Sprite to go with it. Please [:D][dinner]

Carl I have to tell you I think the highlight of the entire wedding and reception was Chris doing that perfict imatation from the Blues Brothers, oh yea Chris knows how to get down. lolThat must of been one excellent reception last night for just about eveyone to stay until the wee hours of the morrning. hehehehe I'm glad eveything went well.
