Haven't heard anything from Tina for awhile on the Rochelle "playdate".
Will have to email her, and see if she knows anything new. There is plenty
of cold drinks on available today.
Our current temp is 93, and we are under a severe t-storm watch until 7 p.m.
tonight. Mutt and I are staying in the house, where it is a tad bit cooler than
outside, even in the shade, on the front porch.

We had lightning in the west while I was biking home from work last night; storm hit about an hour later. First storm was apparently closely followed by a much more severe one, which woke us up. In all, we got close to an inch and a half in our rain gauge (the Weatherbug site, about two miles away, "only" got a little over an inch. We have a few branches to clean up in our back yard.

It was still cloudy out there earlier this morning--I may have to drive to work if things haven't gotten sufficiently dry.

CW, can some of that pizza be delivered to Proviso? (I wish!)

I volunteered to take Matt to his ATC workshop today. 60 some mile trip from home to the Marriott Resort in Lincolnshire. Stuck hear for 3 hours w/ nothing to do but surf the net on the lobby computer. Sure beats tearing up flooring. (Actually the job is done and construction debris hsa been hauled off). Construction starts Monday.

Got a wetter and cooler streak going hear. Nice change. I too am glad Randy and other along the big storm route faired well.

There are plently of cold drinks in the cooler,along with a very ample
supply of lemonade and tea;(even frosted mugs) and of course all
the water you want or need.
Mookie will have to answer that one,after Mon.,since she's off for the
weekend.

MC,we're like you,rain gauge empty and dry;we were supposed to have
had several shots at some precip. last night ourselves,but seems like
it was all north,and east of us.Although they are saying that we have another
goood chance for rain this evening. And yes,very hot and humid here
already today,about 90 now, with the humidity way up there.

....Late last night in our area weather caution was being displayed for strong potential storms including wind and lots of lightning.....Radar was showing strings of red blotches about the Illinois / Indiana border but the end result in our Muncie area was....nothing. My rain gauge is dry....So many times it separates approaching us and passes north and south of us....Must have done it again.
Today....It is very humid and if the trend continues, it will get very warm today......

Well, the storms just went through here, nothing severe though thankfully. Just a nice 1/2 inch of rain. Sounds like we may get more later tonight, as there's another large cell near Des Moines headed our way. And the weekend sounds like it's going to be delightful- highs around 80 with a northwest wind. Hope this makes it to Louisville!

Mookie, I see on the radar that it's "Auntie Em" time out your way tonight. Stay safe and keep paws over eyes, while you're under the bed. It's supposed to cross Iowa and hit the sandbar later. Glad to hear everyone up north pulled thru last night unscathed.
Been a busy week here on the sandbar. 2 grandaughters had birthday parties on seperate nights.
Harley (the wonder mutt) now has a prison record and is bionic and I assume GPS trackable. The kids let her out (to do her thing) and then they started watching TV and forgot about her for an hour. She decided it was a nice night for a "WALKABOUT" and also it was garbage night in town, so a good night for a little dine and dash. Well, the new cop (with bad John Wayne attitude) picked her up and took her to county shelter.
Multiple charges: dog at large (she only weighs 8 lbs?), no collar and tag, and no updated rabies shot. She probably would have got 1 year and probation but I got a good lawyer and got her off with court supervision and fees. Shots, current tag and holding fees came to 88 dollars. Also had to pay 10 dollars to have a micro-processor chip installed in her shoulder. So I guess some satellite can track her movements? That blip on the screen isn't going to move much! From the couch to the chair, that's exciting. More of our money squandered by the government. Anyway, she's now a "hardened criminal" with a record, so now she'll probably want to get some tatoos.
Cubs have actually been winning since I burned my hat!!! Now I need to burn my Ford racing hat to help the Nascar teams.

What does it cool if in fact it really is a heat exchanger....I'm referring to the one with the pipe {with the red cap on top}, connected to it.....Looks like it might be an oil cooler cooled by water passing through it....

I'm glad to see that eveyone here in the forums who lives in Wisconsin are doing good after those violent winds Wisconsin received last night. That must of been something! Weather in PA hasn't changed much except for when I went to work outside today on the job. I had no rain coat or hood on and it started to come down pretty hard. I was happy that it did rain but, nnot too happy that I was outside with no rain gear. <sighs> oh well. At least I have two days off before I have to go back to work on Monday. lol

Supper tonight will be the usual fish fry and fries, with cole slaw. Also have
plenty of iced tea, lemonade, and fruit punch, along with the frozen popcicles.

Our current temp here in Louisville is 92[V] I am definitely awaiting

My arthritis is really doing a number on me today! But I had Mutt make up a biiiig
batch of BLTs, and he put them in the cooler, along with watermelon and fruit
salad. Did someone throw away the note on the menu board?!?! Didn't
anyone look at the menu/memo board?

Glad our fellow Wisconsonites didn't get blown away!! At 7:30 here last night,
it looked like it was two a.m., it was so dark out. Had a couple of severe weather
watches & warnings, but we never saw anything last night. And this morning, it
looked like we were going to get some rain; but looks like it stayed north and east
of us[:(]

We got about half an inch of rain yesterday. Randy's system was supposed to come down and soak us last night, but went out to sea around Kenosha instead.

Today is supposed to be a steamer, though they lowered the expected high out of the 90s. I should be able to bike to work, but may need rescuing tonight.

Our public schuls in Nerth LitLel Roc [;)] [}:)] started today. [:)] You ought to have seen Wal Mart yesterday, it was a mad house. As normal Wal Mart only had a few checkers open and long, (long long very long) lines were the norm.

Where did the summer go? Now if only the 90 plus heat would leave too [:(!] I would be a happy camper.

I am on a BLT kick so bring them on. A large side of watermellon and fruit salad also sounds real good.
